Unfortunately I pulled in thinking I can buy some oil and my car would not start. The staff was incredibly rude. If I wanted a diagnostic it cost $200 and he was already pushing a new starter amongst whatever else they find. I started filling out a repair form and it asked for as much info as possible so I plugged in my obd to write down any codes. This Infuriated him (probably because he was ready to lie about all sorts of problems). His response to me was "look you can push your car into the middle of the busy street" mind you I was filling out a request for repair... Couldn't have been more abrasive, sketchy, and rude. And wouldn't even tell me if there was room in the schedule to look at it tomorrow or if the schedule was booked. Luckily after sitting for an hour the car decided it will start on its own normally with no repair. This shop will scam you for all that they can. Be prepared to pay for repairs that aren't nessesarry and who's to say if they will even do the (unnessesarry) repairs your being charged for. Based off this employee or possible owners response (of telling me to push my car off the lot because I wrote down obd codes on the repair form). Why are people such massholes for no reason? I came here to get a vehicle inspected and as soon as I pull in the guy starts shaking his head and told me it would be a 2 hour wait and that I have to leave immediately because I was blocking the intersection. First of all, this gas station is SO tight it's hard to drive around cars and I was stuck. He kept coming back up to my vehicle and literally yelling at me to move. Eventually I got out of there, but he was rude to me for no reason. I didn't know it was going to be a long wait. They are so unfriendly here. I called them to make sure my car got towed to this shop, i told him i want to come stop by to see that it was actually towed to this shop. The old man I talked to about this was very rude, he said there is absolutely no need to. There was a disconnection with AAA that caused confustion on my end, so i just simply wanted to confirm for myself that it was actually there. I received a call asking which part of my car I wanted repaired, and was told it should be ready to pick up some time during the day on a Saturday and that they will call me when it's ready. Never got a call or text from them that Saturday, so I had to reach out and follow up with them myself the day after, a Sunday afternoon, the person said it's all set. They are great if you're just getting your inspection sticker, but DO NOT go to them for any kind of auto repairs. They won't allow you to buy your own parts, but will insist that they get the parts themselves, and then they inflate the price of the parts sometimes triple-fold from what you could have paid for if you had bought it yourself online. Biggest shitbags in the industry. 19 year old brings his 2007 Kia Rio to get checked out for an engine problem, keep in mind car was bought and worth around $1500. Was told it was $1000 to fix and it'll be good, then not even 2 hours later I get a call just to be told it needs $2500 more in repairs and won't pass any inspection. MONEY GRAB! This is after they already fixed the other problems, so now I'm paying $1000 for a car that is worth $1500 and now needs $2500 in repairs to pass inspection. Me and my family have been loyal customers for years now and to be jipped by these scum bags is unethical and pitiful. Why not call while looking at the car and fixing and say hey there's a lot more wrong with this car needs a ton of repairs and let me deal with it. Instead they wanted their 1000 so they fixed parts of it so they can make their money. They are scumbags. Don't listen to other reviews, I've been going here for years and they still don't care about the well-being of their customers. If you wanna get screwed over and pay more than you need to get your car fixed than look no further than Riggios. Shitty business and shitty people I hope it goes bankrupt. About half the men I interact with here are fast talking, rude, and aggravated from the get-go. The service seems fine and inspections are inspections but I wish they'd all drop the macho nonsense. Why is it always so hard to understand where they want me to park while I wait for an inspection?! This has happened for YEARS. Other reviewers noted this too. I just came back from Riggio's and was extremely happy with their service. I went in for an inspection sticker (boring task) and was greeted with a smile. The entire operation lasted maybe 10 minutes including a 5 minute wait for the car ahead of me. They even removed a piece of road debris that got stuck under the car during a snowstorm. Dave not only went out of his way to explain the entire diagnosis process in great detail, but also went above and beyond to spend an extra 3 hours for free to help with an unrelated problem the car was having. I wish I could give this place no stars. It is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I'm not sure if it is because I am a young woman or simply because the guy gets his rocks off on being a total jerk, but I was treated like I was a complete idiot and the guy was absurdly condescending to me. I was asking questions in order to understand what my best options were for getting an inspection and the guy kept rattling off problems without providing any solutions. See below: 1. I pull into the lot, there is no parking. The ONLY spot I can find is all the way up to the front left of the garage. I attempt to park there and the guy who does inspections comes out. First thing he tells me is I can't park there and the line starts behind the last car all the way at the end of the lot. Okay, sure, that makes sense, but it's a problem, not a solution. So I tell him I can't park behind that car because there is no room without ending up in the street. Queue the condescending tone as if I am supposed to read his mind, "Yeah, I'm going to move all of the cars forward and you can park there." Literally spoken to me as if I am a complete idiot for not knowing that. How? How was I to know that?! 2. I then ask him simply and kindly how long the wait will be for an inspection. He tells me, again like I'm an idiot, "It's about 15 minutes per car and there are 3 cars ahead of you so if you do the math..." I cut him off before he could finish because at that point, my blood was boiling. I told him I had come earlier on my lunch break only to discover that he was also on his break and they don't have someone to back fill him during lunch, which is absolutely ridiculous given how many businesses are in the area. He said to me it's been his lunch break for 10 years or something idiotic like that. It was my first time there, how was I to know that? Again, treated like I'm stupid. 3. So I ask what he thinks the wait will be like if I come back later. Instead of giving me a solution like telling me when the least amount of people normally come or when he is usually the least busy on any other day of the week, he tells me (again, like I am stupid) yet another problem with no solution, "I can't guarantee there won't be a wait." Was that what I asked? I don't think so. 4. I told him I don't have time to wait that long right now. Know what his answer was (again, like I'm an idiot and NOT providing a solution or alternative)? His answer was, "That's your problem, that's not my problem." Are you effing kidding me? How does someone who claims to work in the service industry get away with talking to people like that?! I told him to F off and to have a horrible day. I should note too that I actually know a lot about cars and have done almost all of the work required on my first car, so treating me like I don't because of the way I look is ridiculous. I know the state puts us in a bind and there are limited options for inspection bays in Bedford, but I highly recommend going to Lexington or finding anywhere else to go in Bedford. Don't go here. While I appreciated the way they called and kept me in the loop each step of the way, and asked my approval prior to doing anything, they ultimately wanted to charge me nearly double what I ended up paying for my brake job at another mechanic. When my beater "city car" died in Bedford on the 4th of July, I figured I might as well have Kars 4 Kids come by and tow the car away...but my wife wanted an independent repair shop to take a look at it. I scheduled an appointment with Riggio and they correctly diagnosed the problem and promptly fixed it. I was very impressed with their customer service, their work, and I don't feel they charged me any "out of towner" penalty...they gave an estimate that was reasonable and that ended up being the final price. Towing Pirates! Didn't have a choice as the police had already called them. Towed the car about 6 miles and tow their 'locked yard'. Went to retrieve some items from their yard which is parking area behind a paving company. The lot was wide open and no one from Riggio was around. There were lots of paving company employees looking at my wife and I. Would not recommend you go there alone. Next day went to retrieve the vehicle, told we had to go to their sunoco station first to pay. 1) Demanded cash payment only, gee wonder why that is 2) $ 90 "gate fee since the car was stored in a locked tow yard (ummm no) 3) $ 45 for admin fee .......?for writing up a hand invoice for 5 minutes 4) Mike grunted most of his responses to my questions. When another customer who had questions walked out to his car, Mike spent his time making fun of him. Tells you what they think of customers 5) got to the locked yard over in Billerica, which BTW was unlocked, and had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to show up to get the car keys out of the shed. The shed looked like you could open with your bare hands so much for security. Having an accident is stressfull enough, and the way these guys treat customers should tell you a lot about the negative reviews you see here. read more

David was super friendly and willing to help. After Riggio diagnosed my p0420 code, I ended up replacing one CAT in a dealer. However, there were still some readiness issues that the dealer was running out of ideas to pass the emission inspection. I gave David a call and he told me to drive by and he will have a look for me for free! During our conversation, he seems super knowledge about obd2 readiness. After he put a scanner on my car and everything was just magically working and got me a pass sticker! Although I saved some bucks by going to a dealer to repair, it took me a month and forced to drive 1k+ miles for the side-efforts that introduced. Next time, I'll rely on Raggio if I ever failed emission inspection again. read more

Horrible customer service. I called and made an appointment for 9:30 am to get an oil change and also get it checked out before a long trip in a couple of weeks. The man I spoke with on the phone said it wouldn't be a problem for me to drop it off before work and said, even though it should only take an hour or two total, that I could leave my car there until I was out of work at 2:00. When I showed up after work they had not even looked at my car yet! I am well aware that mistakes happen but the man at the front desk made it seem like it was my problem and not theirs. He went into the back and said that he spoke to his boss who told him that they saw my papers and just never got around to it. Instead of offering any sort of assistance to amend the situation or even offer a genuine apology, they told me to just make another appointment. Yet appointments clearly mean nothing. Seems like they do a very good job but I agree with the last reviewer that they are extremely over priced. I had a problem starting my car and they thought it might be the battery, so they changed my battery, when the problem still persisted I brought the car back in and they charged me again to run diagnostics and eventually do nothing. Eventually with some guidance from them but mostly help from friends I realized it was a fuel pump... which they wanted to charge an obscene amount for. read more

I have never posted a review before, but felt compelled to do so. I needed some front end work on my Ford Edge, Dante the owner and Dave the mechanic checked out my issue and it was determined that i needed both front axles replaced do to leaking grease boots. We were leaving for vacation in three day and I was concerned about getting it done before we left. Dante and Dave said " don't worry about it we'll get it do before you leave". And they did. Outstanding, Friendly and Professional service. Riggio's is neat and clean inside the service bays and beautifully landscaped outside. Attention to detail. These guys were very friendly when I brought my car in to replace brake pads. They broke the bad news to me that I needed more repairs than expected, and I ultimately had to take my car home and have the repairs done closer to home. I have had very good experiences with auto and truck repair here, they communicate well, sometimes abrupt, always a little more expensive and without fail have fixed every and any problem, one time they recommended not to fix something because there was a more serious problem that the dealership should look at and take responsibility for the lesser problem. they have always been honest with things that should be fixed in the near future and things that i should not worry about. they are always busy and i need to book in ahead of time but once they have given an estimate of cost and time completed they have it completed when they say they will. read more

I really wouldn't recommend ever going here. I towed my car to them because it had a bad oil leak. They fixed the oil leak but smashed an antifreeze hose in the process causing more trouble and another $200 of repairs at another, better shop. I'd avoid them if possible. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! I took my car in after it wouldn't start for 3 hours and then it suddenly started and they charged me 55 dollars to tell me nothing was wrong...even though it wouldn't start for hours and 6 different people tried starting it. Then 3 weeks later it wouldn't start again, so I towed it back there. The next day they started work on my car without my permission and I had to call THEM to see if they had even taken a look at my car yet. They said they wrote down my phone number wrong...not my fault...and were already working on my car. They said I needed a small tune up and a new coil and that was it, did not tell me a price. A few hours later they told me my car was all set and it would cost me 870 dollars. The price was astronomical for what they originally said they were doing so I called back and come to find out they did MUCH more to my car than what they told me they were going to do. They did stuff that did not even need to be done, or that could be put off considering I did not have the money for it. After a weekend of working my butt off to collect the unexpected amount of money, I went in with a friend of mine that knew a lot about cars for support to try and explain to them why I thought their price and actions were unfair and that they should at least knock off the 55 they had charged me 3 weeks before. With 5 other male workers standing around listening and staring in an intimidating manner, we ended up calmly explaining our situation to the mechanic Henry and he consistently interrupted us and he even raised his voice at us. He also would not admit to certain things he verbally said to me over the phone and pretty much called me a liar. Henry ended up walking away without listening to a word we had to say and shouted over his shoulder to "talk to the boss". They refused to give me back my car that day without me paying the full amount and considering I needed my car for work because I had run out of transportation options, I had to pay the 870 dollars. To top it off, they had my car blocked in with all these other cars very close together and I found a few new dents and scrapes on the body. This all happened yesterday and I have already left 2 messages for "the boss" and have not heard back. Unless they had written down my phone number wrong again, I have a funny feeling I am being avoided because they have their money and now they think they are done with me. Unfortunately for them that is far from the truth and I am going to the Better Business Bureau tomorrow and am also contacting a lawyer. I have never encountered this type of unprofessional behavior in any sort of professional environment in my entire life. What they did to me was WRONG and ILLEGAL and they ROBBED ME for every penny they could get. I will NEVER go back here and I would NEVER recommend Riggio Auto to ANYBODY. My advice: STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED!!! read more
