With her in the exam room was a medical student and assistant. This has been her custom for the last 7 years, with the patient's permission. I believe that what she does is important for medical students to see and hear. I have always agreed to have them in the room with us. Today's appointment went well. No new concerns, and old concerns were addressed and advice given. Her staff members are also pleasant and efficient - from check in to exam room to check out. I had a visit with Dr. Altman because the skin on the soles of my feet were peeling. He took a…read moresample of the skin and did a fungal test and it determined it was not a fungus. Despite that, he wrote a prescription for an anti-fungal cream. The cream was expensive and not covered by my insurance and I decided not to fill it, since I didn't have a fungal infection. The ailment healed itself and I don't know why he would ordain such medicine if not necessary. I asked if he could do a skin cancer screening while I was there. He proceeded to take a look at my skin by walking around me at a distance, which took a maximum of 5 seconds and was not thorough by any means. He said he didn't find anything. I have had skin cancer screenings before, which were meticulous exams and took at least 15 minutes. I would not recommend Dr. Altman because of his lack of diligence and poor decision making.

When I took her to see him in October 2019, we didn't expect his nurse practitioner to be in the room with him. When my mother showed her the wound on her leg and other symptoms around it we asked if it was cellulitis and the nurse said definitely not. Dr. Altman was standing behind the NP and agreed with her even though he barely looked at my mom's wound. We kept asking if they was sure that she has cellulitis because she has every symptom of it they kept saying no it was just an ulcer. My mom wants up in the emergency room for another problem and when they saw her leg they said that she definitely had cellulitis so they put her on an antibiotic and the wound closed up, but she's beginning and over and over again. Dr. Altman also told my mother that a nodule on her face was cancerous, so he burnt it off and didn't bother having it biopsied, which was suspicious but we let it go. She wound up getting several nodules just recently. The dermatologist she saw said it was seborrheic dermatitis, so he prescribed hydrocortisone 2.5 percent and it went away. I wouldn't recommend Dr Altman to a dog

Had…read morecomplications 6 months ago right after the surgery and 6 months later still having the same complications. My right ear where the incision was done was not properly reattached with lots of scar tissue behind it and still causing pain and discomfort. Also my ear lobe underneath and towards the middle of ear was tucked backwards and healed that way. He said no one would notice the difference of the asymmetry of my ear which really upsetted me! The Lift I had done for my neck was tight and nice at first but now it's starting to sag all over again on one side. He did not lipo enough on left side of neck and lift enough on that side cheek as much as he did on the other side. The right side he lifted much tighter than the left. So with the asymmetry being off with my right ear and left side of my neck I am truly unhappy with the results! I asked if he could fix both issues and instead he offered a steroid injection for my ear scars and an additional $4500 to fix the neck issue for the exact same procedure all over again! That's more than half of what I already had paid for the first procedure he had done! Why should I have to pay all over again! Makes me wonder if he does this intentionally to patients just to have you come back to get more money from you! Stay away from this surgeon as he is only after your money and will only get poor results at the end. Now I have to find another doctor to correct my issues as I will not give this surgeon another dime!
