Beware of this company. After 2 attempts, and zero calls to let me know that they where not coming…read moreto my home, service finally showed up to check the cathode protection system of my underground storage tank. The service man did not follow procedures to check the system, soil was not wet at all, and did not use a copper sulfate half cell connected to the multimeter. His response was you need to replace the anode bag, 400 dollars if I do it. I responded that I would dig the hole, he agreed and told me his timetable which would be 4 days later in the afternoon. Fast forward to 4 days later. The hole was not complete when he showed up at approximately 8 am. When I saw him he was in the tank hole already, and connecting the wire for the anode bag. I asked him if the hole was deep enough, ( it was not to the bottom of the tank ) and he said it was fine. Once he was finished with the connection of the bag to attached wire to the tank he left, stating don't forget to put at least 5 gallons of water on the bag before filling the hole. ( He never did check to see if the protection was working properly before leaving ) So I placed a hose in the hole and saturated the area thoroughly. At this point I began to inspect his connection, that was made with the existing wire nut, it was not a secure connection at all ! His connection actually caused the wire that was welded to the tank to fail at his connection point with the wire nut. So after purchasing a new wire nut, and stripping the connection wire properly, I made the proper secure connection, and backfilled the hole. Now I will go an purchase a multimeter, along with a copper sulfate 1/2 cell and check the tank myself. Lesson here is, service people need to be better trained, and checked up on.! BTW the service charge was $ 95 dollars each visit ! Wow, I sure did not get what I paid for.

I'm in my seventies and had never experience such horrid service from any business. I contacted…read morethe company in March and ordered a 250 lbs propane tank to power a stand-by generator. The initial contact with this company was adequate and I was told the tank would be installed on April 28th. The installer came to our house on April 28th but did not do the installation because the generator hadn't been installed, he did however left the propane tank. A few days later the generator vendor advised they would be doing the installation on June 2. I advised Suburban of the date and was told the installer will be in my area on June 4th to do the installation. On June 3rd I received an email from the service coordinator indicating the work had to be rescheduled for June 11th because the installer was sick. On the morning of June 11th I called the company to confirm they would be at my house that day. The individual who spoke to me checked the schedule and said it was on the schedule for that day. I waited all day and no one showed up nor did they had the courtesy to call to let me know they weren't coming. On Monday, June 14th I contacted the service coordinator and she apologized for not calling. She alleged the installer had an emergency call and that she will contact me with a new date. I'm still waiting. Meantime I have a tank sitting in the middle of my yard and a useless $10,000 generator the Generac distributor cannot certify as completed because it hasn't been tested. Both my husband and I are elderly on a fixed income. We sacrificed for several years to purchase the generator because of our health issues and the potential risk of long term power outages due to weather conditions in this area, such as hurricanes, tornados, and severe weather. I need oxygen and my husband now has cancer. I can only hope someone considering using this company reads this horror story.

I had a great experience at this Ace Hardware!…read more We just moved to the area. My husband has been working on a project to connect a water purification system from our kitchen sink to our fridge. We tried stopping at this Ace Hardware but found that they are closed on Sundays. We then made the long 30 minute trek to Lowes to get a part. After walking up and down several aisles we finally located the aisle with the parts we needed, however, (without plumbing experience) it can be very easy for people to pick up the wrong part. We bought the part believing it to be what we needed and with zero employees available to help us at Lowes, we went for it. We made the long 30 minute ride back home from Lowes and tried it out. It was the wrong size!! We were so frustrated! On Tuesday, we decided to give it another try. We were going to drive all the way to Lowes again, but remembered Ace Hardware is just minutes away from home. Fingers crossed it wasn't too late...It was almost 5:00 and we didn't make note of their hours the last time we stopped by on Sunday. We pulled up and they were open!! =) The moment we walked in the front door, we were greeted by the cashier who asked if she could help us find anything today. We had no idea where we would find this tiny metal connector part so we showed her the part we bought from Lowes and she pointed us to the exact spot where we could find those parts. We began eyeballing each of the parts to try to figure out which one would be the correct size. After a few minutes the cashier asked us if we needed any help. We didn't want to bother anybody so we just told her we were fine. A moment later, Al (another Ace Hardware employee) walked up and asked if he could assist us in finding the part we needed. We showed him the part from Lowes and told him we got the wrong size. He asked us about our project and once we told him what we were attempting to do, he knew exactly what size we needed. He helped us understand the differences in these plumbing parts which answered a lot of questions we had. He even opened the package for us to ensure the part fit the connector we brought with us to give us peace of mind in knowing we were not purchasing another part that wouldn't fit. We got home and got everything connected perfectly and our fridge now provides extra purified water and ice! =) I never get that kind of customer service at Lowes or Home Depot. FYI: Currently, their hours are Monday-Saturday 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Closed on Sundays). Thanks Guys! We appreciate your kindness and willingness to help!
