I called this company to have the HVAC person look at my air ducts and insulation at my mother's house that she has been living in since the mid 60's. Rusty Jones came to the house and did a thorough inspection of the inside unit, the condenser, and ductwork/insulation in the attic. Rusty was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in answering all our questions and giving us suggestions. I was very thankful that he gave us such honest feedback and didn't try to sell my mother a new air duct system or tell us that we needed to replace the insulation. My mother rarely has an HVAC tech, plumber, or electrician leave her home without suggesting that she needs to have something repaired or replaced. Rusty was very friendly and down to earth. My mom has lived in the same house that she built in 1973. She has probably used every HVAC company in the 51 years that she has been in this house. When we found Air Conditioning Engineer's we were relieved to find such a great company. They have now become Advantage HPE. I no longer live in Ft.Walton Beach. It has been difficult to help my elderly mother maintain her house from a different state. Whenever we have needed repairs , they have always taken the time to FaceTime me from her property. They show up when they say they are ( which is not common) They are also very professional, honest, and their rates are fair. We had to do a large remodel project that involved mold mitigation. They have made my job much easier when I have come in town. I have been able to schedule them when I'm in town to get the work done. They email me detailed estimates. They have rebuilt the plenum and updated and maintained both of her units, cleaned the coils. My brother also uses them for his house on the water in Destin. Homes on the salt water take a beating. They had to replace his ducts that were not working properly due to another company's negligence. Their membership is worth the price. They treat my mom like family. They are professional , honest, and their work is top notch. I wish they were in SC! read more

I called this company because my AC isn't working and my property management company called another place that quoted an astronomical quote to repair a compressor. Air conditioning engineers is amazing and very friendly. Rhonda took my call and was able to fit us in to take a look at my air conditioning. it turns out that I do need a compressor, but it was under warranty. So the other company was being dishonest by charging me for another compressor when I could get a warranty replacement for the one I had. I highly Air Conditioning engineers for their honesty and work. I am so glad I called them based on the other reviews about them being trustworthy. I have had bad experiences with AC companies in the past trying to overcharge for things that you either don't need or such as this things that are under warranty. so do not walk, run to this company for your AC needs! read more

CROOKS!!!! - Never do business with this company. EVER...we had to fire them from a remodel job they were hired to do. Plumber made constant excuses as to why he couldn't work. The project was delayed 4 weeks because of the plumber and cost us money. After firing Advantage from the job, they informed us they also fired the plumber. Our new plumber started within a day and had the work completed within a week. Our $8500 deposit has not been refunded and they refuse to communicate with us. Our new plumber had to redo everything the Advantage did and we are still waiting on our money back. read more

these scumbags showed up to install a hvac unit with different model numbers then quoted.upon investigating I found out it was a less efficient and older model.When I questioned the owner he told me I didn't know what the f$ck I was talking about and lied saying it was the more efficient model (his exact words).Needless to say I told him to get his sh@t off my property.If you choose to use this outfit after reading this then you deserve everything you have coming from this company of thieves. read more

I called this company because they came highly recommended by a fellow homeowner here in Inlet Beach, FL. I am having an issue with my tankless heater and they sent a tech out who spent several hours diagnosing unit and then ordered a part from Rinnai. The total bill was $525.00. A couple weeks later they sent the same tech out with the part, he installed it and tested the unit and said he could not replicate the problem. This time I was billed $315.00. This is a vacation home for my wife and I so we only visit a few times a year, anyway I returned this week only to find the original problem still exists. Error 19 whenever I turn on a shower the heater shuts off and flashes the error. I contacted the tech and he said he would try to get Rinnai to send another unit out under warranty. I followed up with the company this morning but received no return call or message. So now I'm out $840.00 and still have a water heater that does not operate. I certainly cannot see continuing to throw money their way so I have to start all over with another company now! read more

This review should be sparkling after the sales pitch I received this morning. Christine was lovely to work with, but the company did not deliver in the end. I was sold on the $55 service call because they were offering $25 off. Great. I was told "all parts are on the truck" and "we'll have you up and running in no time!" Well, unfortunately that was not the case...with either of those statements. I got a call saying my rare 4-speed furnace motor had to come from Egypt or something and I also needed a new capacitor... Anyway, I had until 3:30pm (less than 30 minutes) to place my order if I wanted the motor to arrive in the next couple of days. Instantly alarm bells went off in my head. My house would have no AC, in July, middle of Summer, it's Super Hot....NO WAY, THAT'S NOT COOL at all. So I searched "Carrier furnace repair" and got a number to a guy at Aire Serv who dispatched a tech immediately and my A/C was fixed SAME DAY-AS PROMISED just not by AC Engineers...AND I will add that it was fixed in less than 2 hours!!!! Would I recommend Air Conditioning Engineers? If the service call is going to be free if they can't fix it same day....eh, why not? But in the future, I will go to Aire Serv of Emerald Coast. The service found at Aire Serv is unheard of anymore. I just can't thank them enough. **And I wish I hadn't wasted $55 on this company!!!!!** Oh and to be fair, the diagnosis performed by AC Engineers was completely accurate. But more bad news...their "quote" even with the "waived $25 trip charge" was WAY more than Aire Serv charged me. A month has passed and I've cooled off at this point, but the thought of them ripping me off really upset me, so I guess 2 stars is generous. **UPDATE: I have been monitoring my cc statements and have not been charged the $55 service call. I think the reason for that is my email I sent letting them know I should not be charged-basically stating what I did above, but I did not get a reply to that email, so I have been waiting to see. read more

Awful customer service and will over charge you, so beware! On Monday, April 23rd I called and requested someone to be sent out to 726 Eglin Parkway unit C11 to check out a clogged drain line. The unit below (C5) started to notice a leak in their ceiling. The Homeowners Association recommended to clean the drain line out. I called to have someone go over to only look at the ac drain line. I also asked the lady on the phone to please have someone call before going to the unit. On Tuesday April 24th I received a phone call from Christine Stewart asking if I received the invoice and stated that the bill was $450. On the invoice there were unrequested repairs such as $24 batteries, $110 capacitors, $52 system charge, and $121 coil cleaning. No one had called me saying they were going into the unit and no one had permission to do anything else but clean the clogged drain line, regardless if additional repairs were needed. During the conversion with Christine, I asked if I could call her back in about 20 minutes so I could call my seller to tell him the amount of this outrageous bill and before I finished my sentence, Christine had a very rude tone and hung up on me. After speaking with my seller, I called back to speak with Christine and let her know how unprofessional of her it was to hang up on a customer. She argued with me about not hanging up on me. To get off the phone I said thank you and have a great day, Christine's response to me was " How are you going to thank me and call me unprofessional all in one phone call"?! This is very unprofessional behavior and should not happen to any customer ever. My client should not be responsible for this bill of $450 because we did not request these additional services as stated above our only request was for the drain lines to be cleaned. I will defiantly let other real estate agents and other clients I work with in this area to not use AC engineers! read more

5 Star Rating is not high enough! Tom from AC Engineers came to inspect my AC unit after I was told by One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning that I needed a new unit that would cost at least $5096.00. Tom came over and quickly determined that all that was needed was a capacitor and had the system working in 20 minutes just fine at a cost of only $165.00. He told me that AC Engineers is NOT commission driven as is many of the companies in the area. Since those companies get a huge profit from selling and installing new units many small repairs are exaggerated in order to get to sell entire new units. AC Engineers technicians are paid by the hour and don't get paid extra for installing new units. I will ALWAYS call these guys for any future HVAC work!...Ask for Tom as he is a great technician and 100% honest and trustworthy! read more
