First off the gas pumps here are too close together -- you can barely pull in to the center lane if somebody's on the other pumps. Then one of my pet peeves, a place you have to go inside to get the receipt for, since they don't stock the paper receipts at the pump. All of which might get you a three-star ho-hum rating, but then: the skeevy experience of finding drug paraphernalia in the bathroom, which I delicately moved to the trash as a public service to the next person to come along. On this occasion, I needed to use their coin operated air pump to fill at tire that was low. I put in $1.50 in quarters and got nothing. (Again, air pump prices at other places are generally $1.00 or less). I went to the counter and told them their machine was broken, and I wanted a refund. I had to argue with some high school bim over a lousy $1.50 and she finally relented when I got loud enough. They still haven't pit an "out of order" sign on the machine as of this morning.
