I can't speak about what this place was like…read morewith the previous owners as some of the other reviews are referring to but the new owners, Jessica and Bill, (they've had Bare for 4 years now) were friendly and welcoming and I truly felt like, after meeting them and some of the other members/residents, that I was meeting friends, not strangers. It's small and well kept so it's not overwhelming. With some nudist communities or organizations, being nude is required in some or all areas of the establishment. With Bare being clothing optional, you can be fully clothed, completely nude or anywhere in between that aligns with your readiness and comfort level. All of this makes Bare perfect for first timers or anyone curious about trying out nudism. That doesn't mean that it's not great for experienced nudists as well. It's a cozy, relaxing and charming environment and I felt right at home. I live nearby so I've been going back for 3 weekends in a row. Playing volleyball in the pool, singing karaoke and playing pool and darts. It's the perfect place for me to get away, mingle with my new friends and work on keeping those pesky tan lines away I can't discredit or invalidate anyone else's experience at Bare but I can say that I did not have a similar experience nor did I witness anything like what a recent reviewer described. Even with it being off season and not a crazy amount of people there, the age ranges varied and I found myself meeting and striking up conversations with people young, old and in between. However, you gotta keep in mind, a lot of nudists communities do have an older crowd. I think that's just the nature of the beast. I speak from experience, being a visitor/member of other nudist places. I don't think that should be a deterrent for anyone who just wants an environment they can be nude in. I did meet Hope and while I can see how she can come off as being a little abrasive, she was never rude or unkind to anyone and she didn't run me off Nor did I witness any kind of political views, activity or favoritism, one way or the other. I had a really great experience at Bare and have gone back multiple times and will continue to do so. I'm even considering getting a membership. It's a shame that others had a bad experience but I'd urge anyone else considering going to Bare to give it a shot.

Every young person has been ran off by a woman named hope who lives here. The owners are close friends w her so the second she decides she doesn't like you, you're pretty much going to get kicked out for something. I was literally kicked out over a karaoke song... no I'm not kidding. The owners are extremely right wing and are in a marriage they're unhappy w and that drama definitely spills over into the park. They openly admit they shouldn't be running a business and drink heavily w the residents. I was blamed for a crazy drunk woman named Deborah who came out of her house at 8 pm on a Friday night during spring break and yelled at us to shut the f up even though we had no music playing and were simply talking... the owner having her night of drinking interrupted came out and somehow scolded us telling us "everyone go to bed" like I was a child during a sleepover lol me and my friends did so much to help this place including cutting down bamboo, setting up decorations and even paying out of pocket to install the butterfly garden in the back only to have them turn hateful the second they found out we weren't politically inclined. It's sad bc all the younger people 30 and under have been ran out of the park over the last few months all due to this same political drunken posturing. There really aren't any enforced rules and it's become a smokers and tokers paradise. You honestly cannot escape the smoke, anywhere. People smoke all around the Tikki bar, on the dancefloor, everywhere at the pool ( even in the tiny no smoking section) and vape inside the clubhouse. You actually can't get into the clubhouse or the bath/shower house without wading through second hand smoke. The premium RV sites back onto the pool so be aware that you'll be smelling smoke of all kinds all day, every day. There used to he a great manager and an entertainment director who kept things in line. Sadly they both quit after a new owner took over. Although there is a new manager, there is little to no management, certainly nobody follows any rules as there is no enforcement. It's now self governing by largely permanent residents with a few semi permanent or short term people. The concensus is that smoking everywhere is okay and we were told that If we didn't like it we should leave, or hold our breath until we don't care. I think the entertainment budget has dried up and what entertainment there is, is a product of a few talented residents. We would love to return if Eden was returned to it's former glory, but it seems that those days are long gone.

We've stayed in other hotels that were highly rated and didn't come close to this hotel. They paled in comparison. The room was not dated or worn. The amenities were plenty, the breakfast was chock full of options and everything was so clean, the pool and the pool area was well kept as was the fitness room. The outside of the property was well maintained. Here's an example. It rained so the ashtray by the bench was full of water.Within an hour or two it was all cleaned with new sand in it. Someone left a bottle of water by the entrance and when I came back down it was gone. It's little things like that that speak volumes about their management. It was a wonderful stay and their management team is on top of everything. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. This property well exceeded any expectations we had going in. Their hard work and dedication in making their guests experience a memorable one was appreciated and didn't go unnoticed. We will see them on our next visit for sure.

We were able to interact with bunnies, pigs, goats, zebra, foxes, raccoons, geese, chickens, turkeys, roosters, cattle, etc. Would go back. Literally NO odor from any of the many enclosures. Just goes to show how well the animals are cared for. Very well maintained. He has been rescuing animals for over 30 years and his commitment to caring for them is clear. While I didn't go on an official "tour" he was nice enough to show me around his sanctuary. The animals are all like his children providing them the BEST Forever home!! Pigs, Goats, Horse, Geese, Peacocks, Cats, Tortoises, Prairie Dogs, Iguanas, Deer, Zebra, Foxes, Raccoons, & More!! I highly recommend a visit!!
