Went there years ago when it was the Riverboat with my wife at the time. It was off the chain then and way better now!! We had a BLAST!

I visited Bare RV on, July 13, 2025.Well worth the visit. . The grounds were immaculate. The pool, and the hot tub were beautifully kept. The ambiance with all the foliage was an added touch. It brought everything together. Serene and beautiful. I will be returning. I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica in the office. She was pleasant and answered all my questions. My husband and I made an RV reservation but had to cancel about an hour later due to a family emergency. Despite the quick cancellation, the company still charged us a deposit fee. This is extremely poor customer service and a terrible business practice. We will never stay here and would caution others to reconsider booking with them. read more

We made reservations here for the weekend for the first time . Everything from the initial contact to final reservation was smooth and super friendly :) The grounds were very clean and such a relaxing atmoshphere . Our campsite was beautiful overlooking the lake . The staff and the people we met here were very friendly and helpful . It was a great community from pool volleyball to the poolside cookout we will definitely be back again !! Wish we didn't have to leave so soon . Very nice and relaxing place in a green and playful atmosphere. Amenities are nice. Positive and respectful vibe.

Husband and I stayed here for 5 full days in early March. It was wonderful! Best 5 days we have had in a long time. Jessica and Bill are so friendly and customer service oriented, and the residents were all friendly. Resort offers a weekly "wine down Wednesday" which is a wine and food pitch in, and even as a visitor, we just went to the local Publix and got some food to bring and wine. We felt very welcome and not outcasted at all. The pool and hot tub are lovely. The cleanliness is obvious because the cleaning staff are always out and about. Besides pool and hot tub, amenities include a large community area with a pool table and TV, and an outdoor lounging area with comfy chairs and a huge TV for streaming movies and shows. Cannot say enough good things about this place. They are revamping and remodeling, so there is evidence of that, but nothing that took away from our relaxing good time. Spent a week there my wife and i with our dog .From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by staff and residents alike. Smaller than most resorts its perfect for the first time nudist and avid nudist this quaint little campground only was missing one thing, an on site restaurant but they hosted a potluck dinner one day that more than made up for that the food and company no community was excellent and could have fed an army.If you are looking for a relaxing getaway i highly recommend Bare RV and we will see you there because we will be going back soon.5 stars !! read more

One thing I forgot to mention in my previous review and it's fairly significant. I LIVE in Paradise Lakes nudist resort....but....I would rather hop in the car and drive up the street to BareRVResort. I think THAT speaks volumes. At Paradise Lakes 2 hours at the pool can seem like an eternity due to overcrowding, bad music blaring over the pool side music system and constantly being ogled by creepy singles and couples. At BareRVResort poolside is relaxing. the vibe is chill. The music selection is excellent moving from an Ibiza style electronic chill tune into a great indie song like Samantha James or Lisa Shaw to a classic from Sting or Steely Dan. My wife and I've been there 4 times now and every time we go the experience is very chill and enjoyable. 3 hours poolside flies by. Love BareRv Resort. We plan to become members very soon. read more

The resort has new ownership and you can tell. It has been cleaned up. Repairs have been made. it is obviously still a work in progress but a substantial improvement over what it used to be. my wife and I had a great time there this weekend poolside. It reminded me of the fun environment of Paradise Lakes back in the mid 80s. It's a great place to chill and meet some really nice friendly people. read more

It's been about 7 years since I've been to the Riverboat nudist resort, so when the invite came for the girl's day pool party, I decided, why not give it a chance. I'm glad I did. I make no apologies that I don't view life from the same side of the coin as everyone else, and this is one of those places where you can shuck everything and just be yourself. So that's what I did. After greeting the Hostess, I got a comfy chaise in a shaded nook, took off the "shackles" of the every day, sprayed myself thickly with sun screen and joined the folks in the pool. Conversation and community is what was shared. No one was judged by size or weight, no one was preyed upon and that is what makes this place -very- comfortable. If you enjoy being in your own skin, come down to the pool party for ladies every Wednesday - ladies free, Gents are $20. There are foam parties once a month. read more

hammock camped by the wetlands that boarder the riverboat for approx 6 weeks during april / early may and had a positive experience. the interaction with nature coupled with access to a well maintained hot tube and pool make this place the perfect getaway for a budget traveler. the pool was immaculate and is designed for volleyball (smile) with a partial shade canopy, there is an outdoor shower area that enjoyed before turning in for the night. i spent the evening poolside surfing the internet inside the screened in porch , enjoying the weather. the owner was nice enough to ask me to go kayaking with him ans we had a lot of interesting conversations. The RBC meet my needs, exceeded my expectations in many ways and the price didnt break the bank. read more

I've stayed at the Riverboat for about 5 months now and absolutely love it. They definitely keep the naturalist/artistic vibe. It's well laid out with plenty of space around the RVs. Fellow campers are nice folks and the owner's responsive (and cool). No where near the amount of cliquishness/snobbery I've seen at other resorts in the area. If you're looking for an unpretentious nature paradise, this campground is for you. read more

I have been going to this resort for the last decade . The vibe here is really friendly and relaxed , and has become more family friendly in the last several years . I come here to relax in the winter when I want to escape cold Michigan . I had my 19 year old niece's bday party here and it was just the family , feel right at home atmosphere we needed . Sometimes I come here for some yoga too . I love the new museum of cool artifacts & the movie nights/ potluck dinners they host here as well . Love bringing my niece and nephew here , they love it & feel comfortable . Also Xzanthia who runs this establishment, is very professional & is a good licensed massage therapist . Hubby and I were in Florida for the winter, and were going to try and stay at several different resorts. We ended up staying almost our whole time at The Riverboat. It was so relaxed and laid back AND affordable. The people were 'real'. I loved that they had the potluck every Saturday. It got everyone together. I seriously didn't want to leave. We made some great friends there, and will be going back there next winter. read more

First off this place is a dump. I checked in a Friday afternoon and had to go looking for someone. Anyone! The place was a ghost town. I found a guy named Hyker. He is the owner. I wasn't impressed with anything I saw but the price was cheap so I paid for 2 nights. I parked my camper and began to set up. I noticed the spot he had me in was 50 amp service, I needed 30 amp. At every other campground I've stayed at in the past, this has not been a problem. I asked Hyker if he had an adapter so I could electricity. He didn't, but offered to go to Wal Mart and get one. Wal Mart was 5 minutes away according to him. It was in the high 80 degree range and I had 2 dogs who needed air conditioning. They had to wait in my truck. I gave Hyker about an hour and decided to cut my losses and just leave. By the time I got out of his campground, almost an hour and a half passed. On the road out, I passed him coming in. I waved my hand out the window and he stopped. I told him I was tired of waiting and would like a refund. He said he didn't know how to do that, but he had the adapter. I told him I was leaving. He drove off saying he would figure it out. Today, a week later I called him and asked about a refund. Again he stated he didn't know how to do it without my credit card. I said how can you run a business and not know how to give a refund. His response was " I am running a business, and you checked in and I'm keeping your money and I'll see you in court". Then he hung up. Maybe I'm wrong asking for my money back, but either way, he shouldn't treat his customers that way. read more

Amenities? What amenities? The pool is small and regular cleaning appears to be minimal. The hot tub might seat 4 persons comfortably...if you don't mind the water looking a little green...unless this is a reflection of the finish of the tub. Hold your nose because the water smells like Sulphur. Our camper experienced daily brown-outs and cut-outs of our AC unit due to the inadequate functioning of the electricity. Some of the campsite boxes don't work. There are 2 sets of 2 showers for all residents and day use. Near the front showers is open sewage from the septic line. When you take a shower the water flows down the boards to the board walk. The owner likes to talk, but doesn't listen or adequately communicate. He also disrespects and is derogatory toward women, yet considers himself a gentleman. The place looks like a dump, and he is finally cleaning and upgrading some things.....just not the most important ones. Wi Fi is advertised to be available....if you can get reception. read more
