Very cute place for a date. Very nice people and the animals looked happy and well cared for! Looks small but they have a cute collection, especially enjoyed the seal and parrots, touching a stingray was fun and the huge tortoise were very fascinating. Definitely worth a visit!

It was amazing! We went during off season which was even better, but there were so many interactive things you could do with the staff and animals there. Just an overall positive experience. If your a family looking for something to do, go here! By yourself? Go here! It is amazing, and worth it!

disgusting pool

Absolutely disgusting, no care to the animals in their care and they act oblivious to it, 4 dolphins died within 6 months 3 of them in a single week, horrible, abusive, inhumane treatment and care to their animals anyone who would willingly support this place needs a mental evaluation, to the owners and employees I hope you all get trapped in a disgusting, unlivable pool, that's deteriorating and old just like you let these animals live in. And the park hasn't had working filtration since November of 2024, take this to account

We came here for the dolphin experience and it was fantastic. We had a wonderful time with Gus and his trainer. We enjoyed the birds and learning about them from staff as well. It is pretty small and won't take you long to walk around all of it. The facilities overall could use some paint and updating.

The dolphin show was pretty good but also extremely cheesy. I was really sad because I did not get to see any seals(my favorite animal) because they are currently switching if the sea lions or harbor seals are in the viewing tank for the day. The feathers and friends show was also terrible. Poorly run, very cheesy, and not well trained animals. I did enjoy seeing the sea turtle, the penguins, and the sea lion chat however.

Highly recommended what an amazing experience definitely recommend the dolphin show Went with family and everyone had a great time

If you haven't visited Gulf World, then you are missing out! It's an absolute treasure in PCB. Plan to be there early in the day and enjoy all their shows. The dolphin show never fails. It's always enjoyable.

belly ride on dolphin

It was fun seeing the sting ray touch pool. Birds were cool. The dolphin show was fun n exciting. my kids did the swim with dolphins, it was expensive but little cheaper then normal due to off season I imagine. The 2nd option is what we did. Came to 216$ total for 2 kids. Was definetly cool and my girls loved it. They do allow u to take pics n videos, but offer to print them for u for a fee, or u can download them to ur phone n do what u want with them. The animals seem taken care of n not stressed.

This was a great place to stop for a family trip. The place is very clean. The dolphin and the seal exhibits are very fun, and the dolphin show on the trainers were great.

We went here with a group of 7. I would recommend pre-paying for your photos, they do come out a lot better then expected. I would also recommend doing the swim not the swim/encounter because we didn't really get to swim. It was a bit misleading BUT we still had a wonderful time hanging out with the Dolphins.

Monkeys - they are active! Unlike other zoos where none of the animals move ~ these guys are monkeying around!!!

It's a great place to keep a busy toddler entertained!! My only suggestion ~ More Animals

Dolphin tank is in horrific condition to the point that the dolphins are having to close their eyes shut when are submerged.

Very concerned about the animals here at Gulf World and that several dolphins have already passed while living here.

Overpriced, too small. It rained and thought we could still maneuver in the rain, nope. Got soaked.

How much of this is indoors vs. outdoors? If we're avoiding indoor areas (because of covid), are we missing out on a lot?

Is it super hot? I have 3 yr old, 2 yr, and 2 month old...didn't want to go if it was too hot esp for the baby

It can get pretty hot because it's the Florida panhandle. That said, there are some shaded areas to get out of the sun and a couple of AC spots.

This does not seem to be the norm with many small family run zoos in the US There is a large variety of animals some of which we've never seen in enlarged shoes and this is one of the few zoos we've been to where the animals are active and almost interact with visitors. While we were there, the lions that are penned together or playful and seemed interested in the humans on the other side of the fence. We fed the giraffes which include a young one who is very adorable. We also had a nice interaction with one of the zoo staff who was cleaning out the porcupine pen. She was very informative and was willing to answer questions about the porcupines and gave us some information about other animals that we would encounter in the zoo. Overall, it was a good experience and we would highly recommend the zoo to people who enjoy learning about animals or just want something different to do. On a fun note we appreciated that the signage told us the names of some of the animals like two emus named Karen and water buffaloes named fast and slow, if you're a fan of Veggietales, you'll get that last reference.

This place is perfect and local.

There was so much to see,…read moreincluding sea turtles, stingrays, penguins, alligators, sea lions, dolphins, and many other amazing animals. One of the things my hubby and I loved the most is that the Gulfarium also serves as a rehabilitation center for marine life. Many animals are treated and released back into the ocean whenever possible, while others that could not survive in the wild are given a safe and caring home. We saw a sea turtle with two missing flippers, which was both heartbreaking and made us happy at the same time since it wouldn't stand a chance to live in the wild. We watched both the sea lion and dolphin shows, and they were great. It was so nice to see that the trainers genuinely care about the animals. The animals were rewarded with plenty of treats, attention, and affection throughout the presentations. My favorite part of the entire visit was seeing the manatees. I had only ever seen them in pictures before, and I completely fell in love. They are such gentle, peaceful, and beautiful creatures. I could have watched them all day!

We saw stingrays, dolphins, penguins, manatees, turtles, crocodiles, pelicans, snakes, lizards, frogs, and many other animals. Even though we missed the scheduled shows, there was still plenty to see and enjoy at our own pace. One of the best parts was learning that they care for many rescue animals and help rehabilitate and release them back into the ocean when possible. It was great seeing a place focused on marine animal rescue and conservation. The park was family friendly and easy to walk through, with lots of close-up animal encounters. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is that some of the animal habitats and viewing areas were not very well maintained. A few tanks had noticeable algae buildup, which made it difficult to clearly see some of the animals. Overall though, we still had a good experience and would recommend visiting if you are in the Fort Walton Beach area.

Unfortunately, for myself and my family we were sold on this idea of a pretty cool pirate ship that tours the island of Destin. Not at all with this ship does. This cruise is solely intended to entertain children while you explore a small area of the waters for example passing crab Island starting just a short distance away from Harbor Walk. We were lucky enough to see a dolphin take a quick flip above water, but if you blinked and missed it, which some people in my group did, then you missed it but it's not advertised as part of the experience so for those of us that saw it, we were lucky. I do find that there are many dolphins and you get to see them probably any day you're on the water. The ship is exceptionally clean, and I loved the laboratory facilities. Not your typical tiny bathrooms that you find on a boat. We did order the fast on boarding Tickets, which I did not feel were necessary. No one asked us for it and when we got to the ship, we were instructed to walk to the front just like everybody else and had to wait for one family to board ahead of us as they only board one group at a time. In my mind that family did not have a fast on boarding, however, who knows. We were not asked for the Pass and there was no line or sign to indicate what side to stand on if you had a fast on boarding. Maybe this is more valuable during peak season but definitely not now.
