This place that feels like summer no matter what time of the year you visit. The white sand is unbelievably soft and the waters are sparkling. Go for a swim, chill, or just take a long walk along the shoreline as this beach caters to anyone's needs. This lively place has it all; beach bars, families building sandcastles, and people parasailing/riding jetskis. There are so many seafood spots nearby too and there's even a pontoon rental or tours to the beautiful Shell Island, which I unfortunately missed out on but won't be making that mistake the next time around. Panama City Beach is a mix of perfect sand and warm temps. Yes it's that spring break spot so great for college students during that time and I'd probably steer clear during that time of the year but any of other time of the year it's the place to be for everyone else! read more

Panama City Beach Florida is a fun spot that holds a myriad of memories for me! "PCB" as we always knew it growing up in Huntsville, Alabama was the location of my first vacation! My neighborhood best friend, Charlotte's family, included me on their family vacation to PCB to stay in a motel with a *swimming pool* in PCB one summer when we were around ten or eleven years old. I still fondly remember our version of "crabbing" where we got a. a flashlight and b. a plastic bucket and scoured the actual PC beach at sundown to catch tiny crabs. We had so much fun doing this and absolutely begged her Momma to let us take them home and keep them as pets, which, of course was denied, and we would sadly release the little guys back to the edge of the Gulf! Fast forward a few years and my high school Sorority stayed either one or two weeks in a much nicer hotel in PCB with our fraternity brothers acting as chaperones (along with real chaperones). We girls worked so hard to earn the money for this trip meaning: gas, food, one night out to Captain Anderson's for a dinner cruise, one night out at a club (with fake IDs), any additional cash we would need (beer, putt-putt, additional clubbing nights) etc. We sailed in Hobie Cats for several days, and all wore our best spaghetti-strapped dresses and open toed shoes for our Captain Anderson's dinner cruise!! I have visited PCB the last two years and have enjoyed it both times! There's so much to do and see and I'm here for it! From relaxing and sunset viewing on the white sandy beaches, to shopping in Pier Park, to eating at any of the numerous restaurants on the strip, PCB has everything you could want in a coastal city vacation. I've only visited in late March, so it hasn't been as crowded as I've heard it can get during peak season, Spring Break and summer. So, to avoid the crowds, visit in the off-season. Pro Tip: There are numerous public beach access points so to save money, stay in a hotel/rental property not on the beach and simple park and walk to the beach. Ahhhh, the only thing better than Panama City Beach is PCB in the off-season. Just spent a couple laid back months enjoying the beauty of the beach, gorgeous sunsets, delicious oysters, crab, shrimp, grouper! You get the idea. No crowds. Back in the day spring break memories for sure but after visiting recently, it's definitely not the nicest beach in the panhandle . I would say this is the dirtiest but for the 4 legged friends, the dog beach was packed and the pups were living their best life ! Panama City reminds me of Daytona beach . Very touristy but I guess from the younger crowd or those wanting to have a budget friendly vacation, they would enjoy it more than I did. There are a lot of shops, hotels and restaurants near the beach so that was a bonus however after soaking up the sun in Navarre and Destin, I would never return to this beach. read more

If you've got furry friends and want a beach to go to where they are welcome, this is a great place to go! Whilst running away from hurricane Milton we took a jaunt here in the panhandle. There's a great boardwalk, awesome beach, and a huge area with shopping and food a a giant Ferris wheel. Parking can be tricky, so I'd arrive earlier in the day to get your pick. The pets can potty on the beach but you just clean up after yourself. read more

Do I recommend this beach? Absolutely! This beach is absolutely beautiful and rather quiet on the off months, so perfect to go to when you want a quiet get away. Obviously around March to April is spring break (AEA week) and summer months can get pretty heavily toured, but I really do love this beach. The beaches are always clean and well kept. The seafood you can get in this area is awesome, and there are plenty of really neat spots to visit. They also have Air Shows during May that are AWESOME, but wear ear plugs! The jets get super loud and quite startling how low they can beautiful fly. The trained pilots know this area very well and always make the show awesome. read more

Panama City beach is a popular beach destination and travel spot located in Florida. My family had a summer vacation here and overall had a good time. Very crowded and popular town with your traditional beach detonation sights and places off beach shops and seafood establishments pretty much at every turn. The beach itself on our visit was kinda of a let down. While we had great weather all week there must of been some bad weather before we arrived because the entire duration of our week stay the waters of the ocean were seaweed invested and had kinda of a rank smell to it. It didn't matter which part of the beach or ocean we visited that week. The water was very calm that week as well with very little to no wave action. Which some may prefer Overall we still had a great time. It still is a beach destination. Great weather, swimming and trying new places to adventure and eat. We recently stayed at Destin which is an hour away and I'd say I preferred Destin more. But you can't do wrong with either beach destination. read more

Panama City Beach is a wonderful place to escape the grind and hustle and bustle of daily life. It is a great place to breathe in some salt air and enjoy the sun and sand and the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. I always enjoy my visit to Panama City Beach. We love Panama City. This year we stayed at the Flamingo and it was a huge mistake. the rooms are absolutely disgusting and our tile is cracked and constantly breaking apart. We can't even walk barefoot in our own room. Tried to complain to management and they didn't care one bit. Never again!! It's so bad it has got to be against some kind of code. What a beautiful white sand beach with gorgeous blue ocean waters! We hit it during off-season so it wasn't too busy. There are plenty off-road parking areas along Beach Drive and quite a few beach access walking paths available. The beach is clean. We saw quite a few people fishing from the beach. Panama City Beach is my home away from home, and was actually my home for 10+ years in the mid 2000's. My family has been visiting PCB for over 30 years and we currently have a time share and a vacation home, so we keep PCB open and available to us for when we need a little beach therapy! If you are unfamiliar with PCB, it is certainly a tourist destination so if you are visiting between Memorial Day and Labor Day prepare yourself for packed roads, long wait times at restaurants and high gas prices! Panama City Beach continues to grow and this is clear to see with the addition and expansion of Pier Park, as PP is a staple of and the general hub for all activities in PCB from fireworks to parades. In addition, in the past few years you have seen new roads, subdivisions, condo's, hotels, sports complexes and a plethora of new restaurants and shops pop up. With all this new stuff of course comes new folks, local and tourist - so again, be prepared for the crowds, especially during the season! Outside of all the things to do off the beach, the beach itself is one things that has spoiled me beyond belief. I have visited several other beaches and I always compare them to the white sand and emerald waters of PCB. It simply cannot be beat. Overall, PCB is a part of me on some level and will forever be a special place for me and my family. It's a cool spot to vacation and has plenty to do for all ages. Will I move back to Panama City Beach? Probably not, but will I continue to make multiple trips each year? Absolutely! read more

PC is one of our go-to places to enjoy some beach time; though not a fan of sitting out on the beach for hours on end, is totally worth it to rent a seat/umbrella for the day to avoid dragging out personal chairs and an umbrella; love listening to the ocean waves - and the birds! :o) Very serene; also love standing at the edge of the shore as the waves are rushing back and forth; favorite time on the beach is close to sunset, mainly to enjoy the sounds while reading a book with few other folks about; love having a room on the beach to also enjoy the view read more

Gorgeous beach that is accessible to those of us not staying right on the waterfront. There was plenty of parking and we had plenty of space for social distancing. When we went in August, masks were enforced when we we on the walkway. On the beach, everyone was respectful to one another. The sand was beautiful and we enjoyed sunset during the week. I have to give it a two star for this visit due to red tide. When planning this vacation we had no idea that red tide had settled into the panhandle. To our surprise when we went out to the beach we started to sneeze and our eyes started to water. We noticed many dead fish along the shoreline. Eels, small fish, large fish, and fish that we never knew existed dead on the shore. After doing some research we found out that low amounts of red tide had blown in. If this was low amounts I can't believe what it would look like if it were higher. The blessing was that during our week stay the mornings were clear of the red tide although it did blow in in the early afternoon. read more

Panama City Beach has improved their security of the city due to sprinkle break control. We were learning from our time share the police not allow weapon to be brought into beach zone. I am applause the city against gun and weapon to be allowed on the beach. It make the night walking on the beach safer. The beach has two piers. All the piers require a fee to fish on top of the pier. Not all the public access beaches are open to four leg animal. Only certain section is allowed the animal condition. The attraction near the beach include Pier Park, beach Bar and Restaurants, Put Put Golf, gift stores. Like most of the Beaches in Florida, the beach has sand bar before the ocean. You can swim toward the ocean the standing at the knee height sand bar. The sand bar receives a lot of wave. The sand is white here. It is very nice. One special thing in the water of the beach is the fish swim with you. I have seen this in Punto Sur at Cozumel. The fishes will follow you leg and swim with you. Some time you feel the fishes kiss your leg. Some time they are so many of them and you are accidentally kicking them. I like the fishes give me a massage on my leg. I use my snorkeling gear to see the fish and play with them. Water is clear here. I like it before rain with no thunder when I do not required sun block. read more

Outstanding beach with free parking! I fell in love with this area the moment I drove in and my first steps on the white sand left me in awe. Hey, I've never been to Florida, but wow, this was the best beach experience of my life. The water is warm, as you'd expect along the Gulf Coast. The beach is very clean and the water is a beautiful turquoise color. The water along most of the beach is very clear and inviting. The slope is gradual, so you can walk out fairly far and still be able to stand on the bottom. There is something for everyone in the area. Plenty of restaurants, hotels and shops to buy a last minute bikini or surfboard within just a few blocks. The beach has great deal of free parking that is within just a couple hundred feet of the water. The pier is beautiful, and there are rentals for lounge chairs and jet skis. I'm not sure what the summers are like in terms of crowds, but I came here today, on a Sunday in mid-July and the place was relatively quiet and not over-crowded. The water is warm (lower 80s), but still refreshing enough to cool you down on a typical hot and muggy Florida summer day. I've been here twice in the past week and I will be sure to come back. read more

We had an amazing time at PCB! Spent a week on the beach and loved every minute of it! The beach is beautiful! I highly recommend vacationing at this destination! We got a condo on the beach from VRBO and it was fantastic! Thomas Donuts is a must if you are at PCB, best donuts period! We love feasting on seafood when we come to Florida so we hit a lot of seafood places! Had varied experiences but overall they were all good! Traffic can be tough at times so renting a Can Am or golf cart can be a plus for navigating a little more quickly. read more
