I'm beyond grateful and blessed that I listened to Duke Energy assessment rep to choose Gulfside Insulation. Mario was great to work with, I called him several times before the appointment on questions and concerns and was always very frank and helpful. On the day of service he and his helper showed up early and explained the process. He acknowledged that Duke miscalculated the amount of insulation that would be required to bring me to R38 but it was to charge me for less insulation!! Honesty and integrity go such a long way now days especially when everything is so expensive. We did have some insulation coming thru the AC vents even though I had gotten a duct inspections and work done 2 days ago. Mario found the issue, and is even having an AC company come just take a look to make sure AC is cleaned. My attic looks full of insulation now, with a baby on the way and heat coming this summer I'm beyond thankful for Mario and his company working with me. Thank you so much. read more

I had called to request a quote & the gentleman that answered was extremely rude & condescending from the start of the call. Mind you, I had spoken with many similar contractors throughout the week & never had this experience. I stated where I lived & would like a quote for spray foam insulation. He asked to explain what I needed from him. I rephrased my request & then he scoffed and asked my address. After a minute or so he told me that the drawings on my home on property appraiser showed that my dining room has no attic access & I'd have to be okay with him removing my walls to install foam insulation. That is incorrect. We have vaulted ceilings/pitched roof & the entire attic is accessible. There is no need to destroy drywall. I wish I would have asked his name, but I was calm throughout the call and eventually just thanked him for taking my call - then he abruptly hung up on me. I would never recommend this company. read more

Making the move to spray foam from the traditional blown-in cellulose and fiberglass was a very big one, indeed. I had so many questions and with all the competition out there, Gulfside alone, addressed all my questions. When Dave came out to provide the quote, the process was fully explained. It is not a one day operation as they first must remove all the existing blown-in and batting. After that was done, fully spraying under the roof. We chose open cell to cost and common sense for our applications. We now have a fully covered foam (5-6") under the roof and with the recent temps climbing, it remains cool "up there". Another benefit is that the HVAC equipment does not have to work in ~130 degree temps in the summer, but rather, 10 degrees warmer than the living area. Mario, the owner, addressed all my follow on questions and now? We love the results. Call them and check for yourself, but we are strong supporters of the them and their work. read more
