We had appointment set up for 1130 on a Friday morning. The door bell a actually rang half an hour early, and there they were! They definitely get an A+ in the punctuality category. Last time they showed up right on time...good thing we were ready to receive them! This father/son team (there's another brother who was here last time) got right to work cleaning both chimney and dryer vent. As previously was the case, we received honest and straightforward service, pricing and explanatory feedback from the first moment. They also stopped what they were doing as soon as they noticed a problem they were not even looking for. Specifically, the flue liner had a crack/hole in it which would make further use of the fireplace TOTALLY unsafe. They documented the whole thing and didn't even charge me a single cent for the fireplace work, despite having started the cleaning. I was charged very reasonably for the dryer flue, which was somewhat dirty/filled with lint but not dangerously so. They further advised me of an issue regarding the dryer vent. Long story short, I've used these folks before and once the chimney is deemed safe for use I know I'll use 'em again! They didn't like being the bearer of bad news anymore than I liked receiving it. Why 5 stars? Yes some Florida Homes have chimneys and these guys know all about them! Great service, and honest people to work with. So, we've been living in our house for about 5 years now, and we needed to get that chimney inspected during the 2 weeks of Winter we had in Safety Harbor. Heard great things about these guys from the Neighbors and decided to give them a try. After initial inspection, they discovered that we didn't need a cleaning at all but performed a safety check of everything and gave us some tips in keeping the chimney in top shape. They even fixed my not-able-to-open doors and let me know that I should paint a little rust spot on top of my chimney to make things last longer up top. I appreciated the honesty and all of the extra time they spent for just coming in and letting us know we were good to use our chimney. An inspector told us our fireplace chimney had damage and parts needed to be replaced. This company does free fireplace inspections so we scheduled them to come out and give us a quote to repair. After going on the roof and performing a thorough inspection, the gentleman told us there was no work for them to do. All parts are fine. He recommended that we hire a handyman to clean up the rust and paint with rustoleum to preserve the chimney parts. This is a family owned business and you can really tell in the level of customer service they have. They take their time to explain things, are very fairly priced, and will never try to upsell you. I've used Olde World for quite a few years to clean our dryer vent that runs from the garage to the roof inside a wall cavity. They have always done an exceptional job. We had a dryer heating element burn out recently and I called them back even though they had just been here the month before. I told them that I suspected the service technician from the dryer repair service was incorrect in her assessment that the vent was probably clogged, and it turned out I was right. The heating element simply died of old age. Olde World still came back to re-do the cleaning and didn't charge us for the service call. We really appreciate the extra effort and GREAT service from them and will not hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone needing vent or chimney cleaning services! read more

The Best! I called and made an appointment. I was told the price and time that they would be there. Kevin was on time and Michelle was with him too. I had a difficult vent they were going to work on, and he stated to me, don't worry I will not leave until I get it working right. He was there for quite a while up and down the ladder and got it cleaned and working properly. They cleaned up and moved everything back like it was and the price, even though he was probably there longer than normal, was the price that I was quoted.
