This was not a simple flooring job. The parquet required precise layout, exacting alignment, and a deep understanding of wood behavior, finishing, and sequencing. The JDW team approached the project with patience, skill, and pride in their work -- and it shows in every inch of the finished floor. One thing that really stood out: I supplied the parquet flooring, the sealer, and the polyurethane myself. Many flooring companies would have insisted on supplying everything in order to add markup or to control quantities. JDW Flooring did neither. They were completely comfortable working with owner-supplied materials, advised me honestly along the way, and treated the materials as if they were their own. That level of professionalism and integrity is rare. The crew was: Meticulous in their prep and installation Careful, clean, and respectful of our home Consistent and communicative throughout the process Clearly experienced with high-end and specialty flooring The before-and-after transformation is dramatic -- what was once an ordinary room is now something truly special and elegant. The job was gutting…read moreand renovating the entire main level of our 1965 split level which hadn't been touched since the house was built. R&R moved a wall, took out an unused fireplace, filled in a window, installed all the new appliances, handled all the finish carpentry, painting, tile entry way and tile back splash and the quartz countertops and new island with quartz top. The original hardwood in the living room/dining room was in good enough shape to save but the kitchen which had been vinyl and the family room hardwood was all replaced. You literally can't tell where the old wood was laced into the new wood floor. And, when the owner wasn't satisfied with how the floors looked he had his crew sand it all down and do it over! We also purchased our cabinets through them and it saved us a lot of money. Most importantly to me is that we never had any issues with any of the work crew as they were in our home from the beginning of March to early June. And they worked every day unless we were waiting on something that had been ordered, but they always alerted me to that, and they came on time. We didn't even mind that they worked a few weekends. I never had to track them down and ask if they were planning to work that day or not. They did an incredible job in a short amount of time. I couldn't be more pleased with how our house looks now. If I have other things to renovate in my home I will always call on them.

Prices were more reasonable than other providers that I had priced. From estimate to finished product was very quick. Work was top notch. Have had one small problem, several months later, that was corrected the day after I reported it, at no charge. He also contracted two bathroom total remodels, taking care of every aspect of demolition, tile installation, vanity, fixtures, drywall, and plumbing. He will refer you to supply houses that are all in the Lenexa area to select your materials. He'll take it from there. As any remodel of an older house, we ran into several issues along the way. All were presented to me, with options to get around that hurdle. I have been more than happy with the way all work looks and functions. I got an expensive looking spa-like bathroom for a price you can deal with. All workers were careful to lay floor protection where they tracked and left your home as clean as possible each day upon leaving.
