Today I went in to pay on a layaway and ended up getting more tools on layaway. They have great prices on the tools I need to fill out my tool chests. However, not the case with GTD -- they kept their price the same it was before the gun fever. Yes, their price was $10 more than others before the panic buying, but once it was on, they were $25+ cheaper for transfer than any other gun store in Austin. So, I kept going in there for that reason. Nowadays their price is $35 / transfer, which is more than others, but I really don't care as they were great during the panic buying times. I also enjoy the knowledge that their gun counter folks have, so I don't have to spell everything to them plus they are not your average gun store idiots either and truly know about firearms. Lots of people giving GTD 1-star reviews, but I am pretty sure they had something to do with the service they got... Anyway, I like them, so you don't have to.
