They both have great knowledge and were a big help to this first-time gun buyer/owner. They let me handle a gun I was interested in, which is a cousin of the gun I ended up buying. Changing my order mid-process was painless. Bill as an ex-Marine has so much experience and a great rapport with his customers. I even got to see some of the unique challenge coins he has, something I'd never seen before in person. I learned a lot just by asking questions, and he recommended a great local outdoor range which I will very likely join. This alone will save me some money. I plan to order anything I can through their website to help our local store owner, especially ammo and some accessories and extra mags. Although things can get a little busy when it's just one person working the shop and more than one customer, it's Shangri La compared to the madness of COVID when I was looking to buy a lower for an AR-15. Imagine twenty people in line before store opening (Los Angeles) or standing room only in other shops. I learned never to go to gun shops in a rush. Plus, I always have questions and value the knowledge I get from shop owners and even other customers. Contrast this with Turner's in Temecula and wow, I had to wait at least 30 minutes just to find out I couldn't buy ammo until I'd been through the 10-day wait period and background check. One gets much more personalized service with Brass and Bass. Bill even field-stripped my new gun to show me how it's done. The service just doesn't get much better. I'm very displeased with the unprofessional service I received from this firearms dealer. At first…read morethe seller seemed cool. I purchased a .45 caliber 1911 pistol about a month and a half ago, and I waited for a few weeks before returning to pick up the gun. The seller made an error on my current address and registered the gun to the wrong address, so I left the gun to pick up later as I also had some clips on back order, and for the sleller's peace of mind. I called today to see if I could pick it up, and I find out he sold the gun I had already paid for. He claims the reason was that I seemed nervous, and that he thought I was attempting to purchase the gun for someone else based on me not being familiar with the gun. It had a piece of plastic in the chamber so I didn't want to yank on it and get a piece of plastic stuck in the chamber, and it had a manual lock for the slide, so when I pulled it back expecting it to lock in place it didn't stay (it didn't smack back together, I was holding on to it,) so It made me appear new, which is true in the sense that I have never purchased a brand new pistol, but I have shot 4 or 5 different revolvers of various caliber, a desert eagle, and I passed the firearms safety test without a problem. I told him it was going to be spending most of it's time in a safe anyway, and based on that he made the assumption that I was trying to buy it for someone else. If he didn't want to sell me the gun, he has a right to refuse to sell, but he didn't communicate that to me at all. He said I disappeared so he sold the gun to someone else after I already paid. I was expecting a call from the seller to tell me the issue with the address had been resolved, or that the clips on back order had come in, but the call never came. No call to tell me he wanted to cancel, nothing. He hasn't refunded my money yet. The seller wasted my time, and handled the situation poorly. I think that's bad business. Buyer beware!
