Definitely spent hours in here, as there are so many levels, room, activities, etc. Really loved the activities that were super engaging, both for kids and adults. The spots area on the bottom ground floor was super fun and not crowded at all. The price is well worth the visit! perfect place for families, and even just adults (i saw some adult friend groups who were visiting and they looked like they were having so much fun!) Parking is across the street under the highway. it's $15, which is not the best but at least it's a short walk. It was pretty easy finding a spot too.

This place is huge with multiple floors of hands-on and educational exhibits that kept our son moving the whole time. We even booked the soccer exhibit with our general admission tickets and had a lot of fun exploring different soccer challenges and interactive spots at our own pace. Our son especially loved building a Lego arena and creating his mascot at the soccer exhibit. The museum is clean and the staff are friendly. We booked our tickets online which was very quick and easy. We went on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded, which made chasing our little one around much easier. There's a parking garage within walking distance to the museum and you pay before you leave. We had an absolute blast especially our son. If you have an active little one who loves to run around and explore, this is a fantastic spot. Highly recommend - we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Dallas.

We were certainly glad we spent several hours there. We've visited lots of "local" museums but this one gets the grand prize. Located in a former national guard armory, they have thousands of feet for displays and they've utilized all of it. They've moved settlement log homes inside, after disassembling and documenting each part so they could be reassembled perfectly. The whole museum is a collection that shows how people in the area lived in years gone by. A doctor, a bank, a school, a drug store soda stand, a blacksmith shop... the list goes on and on. They have extensive coverage of the oil and agricultural industries, which played a very important part in the local economy. The docents were very friendly and answered all of our questions about the exhibits. We also listened to some funny stories, too. Be sure to visit the Military History Museum while you're here. It's located in the same building and it's very interesting. Both museums are free to enjoy, but be sure to leave a nice donation for each one to help keep them going.

We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of dinosaur information here and heard about their Dino Days... hot topic for the little ones! We had a great time for my adult $5 admission, and my two young children were free. My four year old, who is over the moon about dinosaurs these days, excitedly played in the sandbox downstairs, and completed the crafts in the craft room during Dino Days. He was full of questions about all of the dinosaur skeletons, the video upstairs, and wanted half the items in the gift shop. He and I talked about the dinosaur footprints, and compared them to his feet. He excitedly tromped around looking at everything. We really enjoyed our trip, and took advantage of the Dino Days experience. As we were the first into the room for the 3D movie downstairs, the man running the movie was very nice to start it over for us since it had just started. As the title screens were still appearing, several other groups entered the room, making it fortunate timing for all involved. We followed our visit with a trip to Pickles and Pottery around the corner, where I had my four year old paint his very own ceramic stegosaurus. He coated it in mottled paint gleefully, talking all the while about dinosaurs. A week later we were able to pick up the finished glossy piece. The Sherman Museum is a wonderful place to take children. The staff are friendly and helpful; visitors are welcomed to walk through at their leisure, and enjoy all the museum has to offer. If you're a fellow parent, you will appreciate this as kids are often on their own schedule, choosing to walk past one exhibit, then stand and stare at triceratops for ten minutes... then come back later and walk around triceratops for another ten just to take it all in. For weeks following our visit my four year old has not forgotten what a good time he had, and continues to ask on most days, "Mom, is it Dino Day yet?" I expect we will be making at least one more visit to the Sherman Museum before Dino Days are extinct.

We were able to find a parking quick. We walked in to find some nice tables, chairs and a small Bar. To the left of the Museum was the Information Desk, Restrooms, and Store. The Employees were dressed professional and were watching each room carefully. There was a lot to see. Paintings, Sculptures, Plants etc. We recognized Jackson Pollocks work but there were just a few pieces. I like how large the building is and how beautiful the windows are. I also love how it's surrounded by an oversized pond. I would definitely recommend the Modem Art Museum. It's free on Fridays but a donation is encouraged. They have a large clear box that accepts cash. It's definitely worth your time.

I enjoyed walking around the Kaws sculpture, which faces the water outside. This review is mainly for the gift shop, which I love. It ranks high among all the museums I've been to in other, especially the museums in NYC (Whitney, MoMA, The Met). There were lots of my favorite artists represented in the shop, including Warhol, Basquiat and Haring. I ended up getting the Velvet Underground tote, a magnet and a bag of Gudetama chips, which made me laugh. It would have been easy to spend a lot more money in the shop, but I decided to take it easy (Haha). The service was really good, as I recall, and everything was reasonably priced. The people who work in this museum tend to be friendly and easygoing. Overall, 5/5. Highly recommended.

The staff was also super helpful and happy to show guests the best angles for photos. Emma was especially amazing at helping frame pictures and making sure we got good shots inside the exhibits. I wish I had gotten his name, because he was an awesome employee. My main gripe, as stated previously, was that the museum was smaller than we thought. It took us 30 minutes to get through all the illusions, and for the price point to enter, just didn't seem worth it in comparison. I'm glad I went, I just probably won't go back for a while. I did get some nice photos.
