Took my wife's car in for service. Serving advisor came out and told me that there was a nail in the tire, and that it was in the side wall of the tire, and therefore couldn't be plugged. I asked to see it and was escorted to the car. Turned out that the nail was not in the side wall. Not even in the shoulder, but in a tread channel well inside the contact patch. Whether they want to do plugs or not is at their discretion, but falsely stating that the nail was in the side wall, when it was clearly not, is unacceptable.

Nik and the Gunther team were super friendly and easy to work with as we purchased a Mazda3. I was nervous going in as this was my first car purchase but it went as smooth as possible. The car we originally set out for had sold right before we arrived, so Nik helped us find something similar and close to our budget. The whole team was very accommodating in helping us figure out tagging, car insurance and even setting up the Mazda app. Highly recommend!

    Mazda CX-5 from Gunther!

Gunther Mazda truly stands by their slogan "for car buying done your way, you gotta get to Gunther" and I totally agree! I had a Honda for 20 years, and was ready to try a different make and model of car because Honda hasn't changed their CR-Vs since 2017, so I wanted to take my business elsewhere. I saw online that Mazda CX-5 was a comparable car, and more reliable and had better enhancements than my CR-V. So I wanted to give them a test drive and experience it for myself. I looked at multiple Mazda dealerships in Miami Dade and Broward Counties and it seemed like Gunther Mazda had the most Mazda cars on the lot. I walked in and was greeted by Nic on the sales team and he was very nice and welcoming and talked to me and my partner about the CX-5 and showed us one that was inside on the lot. He then offered to let us take one on a test drive and we took it around the city streets and also up on 595 to check it's highway performance. He then took us to the garage where all of the CX-5s were and took us one by one to show us the difference between the levels of CX-5 to highlight the differences in each. I decided on the CX-5 touring class, but also had my Honda CR-V to figure out how to get rid of as well as it was nearing the end of my lease. Honda was being very difficult in letting me out of it, but the team at Gunther provided me with advise on how to proceed in getting rid of my Honda. I went back and forth with Nic and the sales manager team at Gunther on my lease price over a day or two but in the end of the day we came to a price that worked for both parties. I loved how during the negotiation phase Nic was very accessible and had everything in motion to where all I had to do was come back to the dealership and sign the papers for the deal, and go to finance to complete the rest. I was in and out in no longer than 30 minutes, and the car was detailed and ready to go for me. It truly was a phenomenal experience and I highly recommend Gunther to anyone in the market for a Mazda.

Worst workshop ever!!!!! They take forever to fix your car!!!!! The sellers here are the best, I have no issues with that, my seller is Carlos AKA CJ, he is awesome, always helps me very quick, he is not here today so I came in to the mechanics by myself. Horrible experience!!!!!!! My problem is that I have been waiting for around 3 hours for them to fix a problem on the brakes of my car that I'm sure they will not fix because I was here a few months ago for the same problem and they told me they didn't find anything but the noice persisted so I brought it again. I already missed an appointment with a client at 2 pm and now I'm about to miss another because I'll have to cancel my next one. I arrived here at 11:30 am , currently 2:40 pm and I'm still here WAITING........ I don't think I will bring my car ever again to this location for the mechanics.... Horrible experience!!!! Don't wast your time....

Shoddy sealant work that caused oil leak

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE! Their service center is the absolute worst. Whoever they have repairing and doing work on their vehicles is horrible and I have doubts they are actual certified Mazda technicians. Every time we have had our car repaired by them, very soon after (in some cases even the very next day) there was another major issue with our vehicle. They are a grimy, seedy, sketch repair shop disguised as a reputable dealership service center. We brought our Mazda to another Mazda dealership service center who stated their work was so shoddy, it "looked like the repairs were done by a kindergartener." (The exact words of the second Mazda dealership service rep) The second Mazda service center could not believe the work was done by a certified Mazda technician until we provided the invoice. Gunther suckered us for thousands of dollars of repairs where the malfunction turned out to be their fault in the first place. It's been 5 months since we've had our vehicle there and we are still suffering the repercussions of their extremely careless service center. They make constant excuses and will charge you to fix their mistakes. Gunther makes a terrible name for Mazda. I've also made formal complaints to the Mazda corporation which I've learned have been quite plentiful for Gunther in particular. I've included a photo of the shoddy sealant work that caused an oil leak. Just one of the many half-ass problems (not to include how they don't put your vehicle together properly when they're done and the front bumper starts to come undone while driving on the turnpike)

Just browsing online and found a popular post slamming you on a general Mazda Forum for putting in the wrong engine oil TWICE. Quite a reputation to have something like that out there, don't you? I will make another for Google to find. https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda/comments/1329ow8/gunther_mazda_fort_lauderdale/ I am never buying a Mazda ever again. Every year for my 2.7 year old under 36k Mazda, I have a $500+ problem. More importantly, I have to deal with their sleazeball dealerships from FL to PA all acting the same, claiming nothing at all can be covered under warranty for their cars that constantly break. This year I had (or at least someone noticed this year) a bolt that the head broke off on the bottom of the car for the steering component. It's unsafe to drive with "a wheel that could come off at any moment!" and will cost $1800 to fix. Why is it not covered under the bumper to bumper warranty, according to the dealer? Because it happened due to "rust." The thing is, all bolts around there/same components aren't "rusted" at ALL. Far more likely that the reason was the bolt was defective or was over or under-torqued, causing it to snap off THEN rusting. In fact, I've been driving that car with a "clanking" noise indicating this problem for as long as I can remember. So the bolt snapped off due to a manufacturing defect (like the slew of other problems I've had with this Mazda) then the under areas obviously aren't covered with rust protection coating, showing the rust you see. Imagine that, I've been driving a car, with a such a stealthy yet so serious issue, that could have killed me at any moment at highway speeds for at least a year. Mazda's reward for me is making up a lame excuse (that developed because it's been so long) to not cover their garbage, unreliable car UNDER THE NEW CAR WARRANTY PERIOD. How ***ked up is that? What's covered? Nothing I've had a problem with. I guess only stuff that won't kill you is covered, they expect you to die and not make a claim if one of those things fail. Even if it weren't true, EVEN though there's more evidence to my side, you can't PROVE it either way, even if there were some rust I've seen far worse rusted bolts not break like that within 3 years of a vehicle's life. BS! Instead of benefiting the customer, they choose to side with themselves. They are a bunch of scamming sleazeballs. Every dealership I've dealt with from PA is the same. Mazda dealer in PA salesman acted like a hockey-jockey dude and the Hyundai guy was so nice. My younger self was just concerned with how PRETTY they were . Oh I wish I bought a Hyundai. Think twice about purchasing a Mazda. Here's a photo of this madness under the car. Unbelievable:

How could anyone miss this??? and not clean or notify the owner???

Hi there, First time…read morevisiting and the shop looks great so far. I've only been here about 15 minutes, but I wanted to share a couple quick observations that might improve the waiting area experience. One suggestion would be to consider replacing the cloth waiting chairs with plastic, pleather, or leather seating. Cloth can sometimes trap dust or mites and is harder to sanitize regularly compared to wipeable surfaces. Another idea might be adding a couple of massage chairs (even just 2-3). It would allow customers to relax while they wait and could really enhance the experience. Lastly, it might help to have guest Wi-Fi available without needing to ask for a password. Sometimes customers prefer not to interrupt staff while they're busy, especially during peak times. Everything else looks great so far, and I'm looking forward to the service. Just thought I'd share these observations as a first-time customer. Thanks!

I was told yesterday that I needed two new tires on the passenger side that they were basically bald. Each tire would have been around $120. Which I would need an alignment, granted I did need one anyway. They also wanted to charge me for mounting, (which I get all places do things differently) that charge would've been about $430. The mechanic stated that I needed to change my brake fluid, I already did that the last time I was there. Xavier fixed the mistake since apparently that was supposed to be for another car. But I was still baffled that they said my tires were bad... I told them I would pass. I took my car to another place this morning... MY TIRES ARE NO WHERE NEAR BALD AND THERE IS STILL THREADING! My tires are in better condition than the used tires I saw around the shop! I don't know if the mechanic screwed up and put someone else's information on my account. I don't think I'll be going back. They almost costed me 1000 for things I didn't need.

This is the second time I have trusted this dealership's service department to handle a routine tire rotation on my aftermarket wheels, and it will absolutely be the last. Once again, they left me driving away with a dangerous loose lug nut rattling around inside the wheel cap. Leaving a customer with unsecured lug nuts is a massive safety hazard that could result in total wheel failure on the highway. To make matters worse, their technicians were completely reckless. Not only did they lose one of the real hex bolts that secures my center cap, but they also clearly forced a tool onto the decorative accents and snapped off one of the false bolts on my Fuel 1001-63B cap. The service advisor text-confirmed the safety failure and damage, admitting fault and stating management was reviewing camera footage. Since then, the dealership has completely ghosted me. I verified with their front desk that the direct emails for General Manager Louis Izquierdo and Service Manager David Brownell were correct, meaning leadership has actively chosen to ignore a customer regarding a severe safety liability and property damage. I will never do business with this auto group again, and I am refusing any "store credits." I expect a direct reimbursement check for the broken parts. To summarize my review DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HATE YOUR LIFE. I purchased a 2004 Yukon Denali a few weeks ago, and the experience since then has been extremely frustrating. While I was in the finance office completing the purchase, the salesman mentioned that the vehicle was not idling correctly and said he would have a technician take a look at it. They were unable to identify the issue that day and ended up keeping the vehicle for over NINE DAYS. During that time, communication was almost nonexistent. I never received updates and it was extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. Keep in mind, this was after I had already purchased the vehicle. I was eventually told that the fuel lines and fuel pump had been replaced, which I later discovered was not true because when I finally received the vehicle it still had the exact same issue the salesman originally pointed out. After more back and forth, they agreed to have the vehicle looked at in Orlando since that is where I live. The dealership here quickly discovered that the problem was simply a disconnected hose, something that should have taken about 30 minutes to diagnose and fix. Overall, the experience involved poor communication, misleading information, and a complete waste of my time. The process truly tested my patience. That said, Kevin, the salesman, has been great and is apparently the only decent human being who works there.

I watched him juggle so much with ease whilst maintaining a professional demeanor- like a duck on water- calm on top... feet flapping under so fast. He kept me informed and listened to my concerns. Seriously he is the best. My noise issue was fixed on first try and alignment is excellent- car tracks pin straight. So big kudos to my auto tech no 175167!! They had to take my steering column apart. Kind of annoying design flaw on Toyota's part because noise is a known issue so another option would have been nice (like re-packing with silicone) but still better than a total column replacement. Cost of parts was nil, overall book hours are reason for high cost to repair. This is no fault of service department but if you're hearing me Toyota- you can do better!!! Courtesy shuttle staff are incredibly sweet, friendly and professional. The most negative part of my experience was with the car jockeys who take people in. They are so obnoxiously rude. The first day I showed up they were pushy but the second day put me over the edge. Someone seriously needs to talk to this group because they are the first face/impression for the most profitable department in the whole dealership. I worked in service departments for many years and the experience with these jokers was unacceptable. The second day I was the only car at 11 am in the two lane park to drop off. You would think I was blocking the whole area during the morning rush to drop off with how pushy they were. Ryan walked me to the courtesy shuttle area and these guys were yelling at him across the way in front of me, a customer. Not a good look!! They did not listen to what I was trying to communicate to them on my second day drop off. Someone needs to tell these characters that they are a part of the customer service experience. Honestly, if I could just drop off with my service advisor and then have them pull car around it would be a much better experience. I'm not easily intimidated but having two men standing over me while I'm trying to get out of my car and arguing with me with an attitude the second I pulled up really set me over the edge. I'm a very reasonable person and having been on both the auto service side and as a customer I know why they are the way they are but this negative experience makes the jobs of the advisor much harder. The advisor has to mitigate our negative mood coming in on top of explaining expensive diagnostic/repairs to lay people who are probably upset about the cost in this current economy. Seriously someone please talk to the jockeys. Other than the jockeys a great experience. Will update to 5 stars if you fix the jockey issue. If Ryan is not working there I'm not coming back.

Before receiving the keys, I stepped out briefly to move my car across the parking lot so it wouldn't get towed. When I returned, the same manager suddenly approached me and told me I was no longer allowed to do a demo drive. She claimed that I had previously returned a vehicle in poor condition, which is completely untrue. The car was inspected when I brought it back, and no issues were ever mentioned. When I questioned her, she said they can refuse service to anyone. While I understand that businesses have policies, the way this situation was handled felt targeted and unfair. Based on how she treated me from the start, I genuinely felt racially profiled. When I expressed that, she dismissed me by saying she was "sorry I feel that way," which was frustrating and dismissive. She then went on to imply that demo drives are only for people with "useful purposes," like checking if the car fits in their garage or if it's suitable for children. She also questioned whether I was a serious buyer, which was inappropriate and offensive. She had no basis to assume anything about my financial situation, whether I own a home, or if I have a family. Overall, this experience made me feel disrespected, judged, and unwelcome. No customer should be treated this way when simply trying to explore a potential purchase.
