They charged us over three around $300 for the transmission service and from that day on the performance of the car went downhill she had all kinds of trouble with it so we took it back. We told him what the problems were and they said well we look at they took it apart. Said you need a expensive part and it was gonna cost $1500 for the part and the labor so we went ahead and did it we drove it home and it was even worse than it was when we got it we took it back to him. They kept it for over two weeks and never solved the problem. They said they thought that another $300 part would do it and I said no you've done all you're gonna do so I pulled away from him and so anybody wanting to use Luigi's for transmission troubles they're throwing their money away.

The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage.
