Although all the staff members are nice, Jalissa and Erica stand out in the way they interact with the kids and with us. TLE is clean, secure, and have a curriculum that noticeably improves child academic development. One of the cool features TLE offers is an informative app that sends you status updates on your kids...if they ate their lunch, how much they ate, what they ate, potty training, when they nap, and pictures of their participation in math and science activities. We provided copies of our recent pay stubs as part of the process. Based on our income, we anticipated qualifying for assistance. However, we were informed that they do not accept back pay and that families must cover full tuition out-of-pocket until subsidy approval is finalized. In our case, the approval process took eight weeks. That would have required paying two months of tuition upfront while waiting for assistance. If a center works with YWCA-funded families regularly, it was unclear why no flexibility could be offered given the documented income information we provided. For many working families, paying full tuition for weeks -- or months -- while waiting on approval defeats the purpose of childcare assistance. Families relying on subsidy support should make sure they fully understand this policy before enrolling. To make a long story short if you can't afford the daycare tuition on your own, don't even apply.

Despite clear conversations and expectations, decisions about my child's care were made without parental consent or advance communication. More concerning, the center repeatedly appeared to be out of compliance with Illinois state child-to-teacher ratio requirements. On several occasions, I picked up my child soiled, which is unacceptable in any licensed childcare setting and suggests a lack of adequate staffing and supervision. When these concerns were raised, the response from center leadership was dismissive and unprofessional rather than solution-oriented. There was little accountability, collaboration, or willingness to address issues proactively. Childcare requires trust, transparency, and partnership with parents. Unfortunately, this location consistently fell short in all three areas.

Over the past year, this staff has gone above and beyond for my children. From allowing my older daughter to attend for the week between school and summer camp, to being a smiling face when my kid has a full diaper from the car ride and is screaming. They have communicated with me over and beyond. Now that my daughter is over 1 and has preferences, she loves it as well. She comes in every morning ready to wave as she is greeted by not only her current teachers but her past reaches as well. Her little face lights up and she is smiling from ear to ear. My desk is covered with pictures of her in activities and arts and crafts projects she has done. The price of daycare is astronomical! But I always feel like I got my money's worth at this Kindercare. I would recommend it to anyone!!!

Well just recently my mother dropped my 2 year old off like a normal thing. And as she was leaving she heard the director (Wanda) yelling at a child "Noo! Don't do that pick it up!!!!" My mom decided to stick around longer to see if she would continue yelling. And she did so she went to the main hallway and saw through the window Wanda had grabbed a chair and forcefully sat MY 2 year old down and tied her own scarf around my babies arms together while placing her leg between my babies privates to restrict her form moving. We have a dcfs case open with this lady. This is a parents worst nightmare!!! My baby is not the same any more :( . Parents if your child cries or doesn't want to stay at a daycare they're most likely being abused please be careful and take care of your children.
