Extremely Disappointed -- Poor Quality and Even Worse Customer Service…read more I initially loved the Vince Camuto Acaylee sandals so much that I purchased two pairs in different colors. Unfortunately, my experience quickly went from excitement to complete disappointment. The brown pair has a fabric-wrapped heel that ripped after only TWO wears. That is completely unacceptable for a shoe that I purchased expecting reasonable quality and durability. I took the shoes back to the DSW location in Waldorf, Maryland, hoping that a store manager would recognize that this was clearly a product-quality issue and exercise some discretion to exchange them. Instead, the manager(s) declined to do anything to help. No meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or retain me as a customer. I am 100% certain that store management has some discretion when dealing with situations like this. What was especially disappointing was that they chose to exercise zero discretion and zero customer service. Sometimes the cost of replacing a defective item is insignificant compared with the cost of losing a customer--and potentially everyone that customer tells about the experience. I even contacted DSW's online customer service afterward. They told me they would have been willing to take care of the issue if the shoes had originally been purchased online. They offered me $10 toward another purchase, which I declined. Why would I spend more money with a company after this experience? At this point, I will not be purchasing any more shoes from DSW. A shoe falling apart after two wears is disappointing. A company refusing to stand behind the product and a store refusing to make any effort to help is even more disappointing. DSW had an opportunity to turn a frustrated customer into a loyal one. Instead, the Waldorf location chose to do nothing--and they lost my business. Buyer beware: inspect your shoes carefully, because apparently two wears is all it may take for the quality to become a problem, and don't expect much assistance from the Waldorf store when it does.
