Highly Recommended!…read more Martin responded to my quote request quickly and came out to assess the situation. I originally requested a gutter repair and cleaning. As it turns out, the issue with the section of gutter in question really had more to do with my prior gutter cleaning companies not thoroughly cleaning the gutter. This caused excess weight/debris caked in the gutter and it looked to be twisting and bending away from the house. Martin is fearless on a ladder and thoroughly cleaned the gutter. Beyond just scooping the leaves/debris out, he actually uses a hose and sprays them until no dirt or grime is left in the gutter. With all the weight finally cleaned out, this essentially fixed the "bent" gutter, but he also attached a bracket to ensure it stays in place. He also added a collar onto a loose downspout and provided a very reasonable quote for gutter guards on one side of the house, so I had that done as well. The next time I need a cleaning I'll definitely be reaching out to Martin and you should too!

After they started the job, they noticed that some of the fascia boards were rotted, and said that it would cost an extra $260 to fix the fascia boards. I agree to that. Then, the foreman said that there were fewer fascia boards than they thought, and it was only going to be $200. I said "Cool!" Finally, after they were all done they realized there was only one board that needed to be replaced, and they only charged me $50. The thing I loved was they were honest, and lowered it to $50 even though I had agreed to pay the $260. Love these guys!

Upon arrival of my scheduled job start, he did a walk-around and took note of a few areas which would need some extra/adjusted attention that would not have been possible during the initial estimate; except for the fact I asked him to replace some additional sections not previously requested, the estimate did not change. He also gave his honest opinion of a couple of aspects of the project I had originally asked for, but didn't think would be necessary; rather than try and upsell me, he was very forthcoming with his desire to do right by the customer. He and his partner also offered to treat my roof with moss killer since they would already be up there, at no charge (I paid for the material), which in my opinion, is what a lot of contracting businesses out there are sorely lacking.
