Rep called me back and explained why they are cautious about cleaning metal roofs. In short I've been doing it wrong. He offered to make things right but his explanation was enough. I have a metal roof and gutters with gutter guards. They company that used to do an excellent job on my roof (I'll call them "JB") is a janitorial firm that appears to no longer do roofs. I called AA based on reviews and explained that my roof was quite dirty with pollen and was clear with them it was metal. They said they would come and blow the roof off and see what else could be done. They did NOT come right out and say they could not clean up pollen. They quoted me a price lower than the previous company had been charging, so I scheduled the work about three weeks out. The tech came out late in the afternoon, spent a LOT of time looking around and talking to the office and then told me that they could only blow debris off. To do a wash would take two people a full day and cost around $2,000. Sorry, that's NOT going to happen! I said go ahead and blow the roof off, there was plenty of Douglas fir cones and other debris that needed to come off anyway. The work was fine for what it was, though there's still a mess of pollen up there. I would have preferred that they just say "we don't clean metal roofs because you won't be happy with the results." read more

My neighbor used this service for gutter and window cleaning and seemed to do a nice job. I requested gutter cleaning only. No other services. They came at a time I was driving to a dentist appointment. They called to say they were there, approached my husband who was home and he forgot what service we needed. They sold him on additional mold service on our roof I didn't want. He said yes so the bill went from $250 to over $400 which I had not planned on. They did try to call/message me but I was driving and I could not return the message/call. All worked out and they did a good job. Pros: they are good at communicating and won't do an additional service unless you ok it. Did a great job and techs are friendly. They have a website to book your appt as well as call. Cons: They keep your credit card on file. Make sure to take it off if you're not sure you'll use the service again. Make sure you are available to communicate your needs. read more

I had AA Window, Roof & Gutter come to clean my gutters. Carlos did an initial inspection of my roof and showed me photos of problem areas before starting the job. We agreed that I had a tree that needed trimming back, so not only did he clean out my gutters, he also trimmed a tree away from the carport roof and cleaned off the leaves that had collected there. Each service was an added fee, but the prices were reasonable. Carlos was thorough and polite, and I felt relieved knowing all was well when he left. read more

I've been using AA for 5 years and in a maintenance service 2 times a year and 1 times a year for window cleaning. They seemed pretty good job past years but my house was brand new when I moved in so not sure how much year over year debris was. I used their window cleaning inside the house one year and I noticed they left a lot of dirty water drops on molding and some areas but this was not so bad I would complain or cancel this service. I just never used them again for inside service. However the service for spring this year service, they came out this week while I was out of town and serviced the gutter cleaning exterior and exterior window cleaning. They left a message saying there are moss on roof so wanted to know if they should add this service as added charge. I was too busy to respond while traveling so they didn't do that. They have ask this each time so I have to admit that I wonder if this was their play to add additional service so not always say yes. Anyways they charged me with my credit card and that was that. I came back in town and looked around the gutters and noticed that the inside gutter had a bunch of tree limbs across my backyard gutters due to past winter storms and winds. It was so bad that I can see the tree limbs sticking out of the gutter. See pics. But since my service was to clean exterior gutter they did not remove any. My complaint is that they were concerned and noticed the moss to see if I wanted that service added charge but they didn't ask me about removing the gutter full of tree branches. If they were evaluating the moss why would they not noticed the full of branches and ask about that. What kind of service is that. I checked out the exterior cleaning they did and honestly cannot tell the difference that they did that service. I am not happy with this and called to ask about it. They said they can come out for the inside service and of course I would have to pay for this. I said no and have just scheduled a different company to do this service. If they had alerted about how full of tree limbs the gutters were or that I should consider inside the gutter service instead or added I would have. The fact it was so obviously needed and they didn't even mention it, I question if they even did the exterior. This is not the kind of company or service I want. I don't ever go up on roof to see if they did the job correctly or validate the moss. I just trusted them, but this incident has caused me to not trust them or if it's like a used car salesman. I canceled the future maintenance service with them. I live in a pretty close network of neighbors. We shared tips and info about these home maintenance services. I've always advocated AA and I know of some my neighbors use. I will warn them now. In fact the new company that will come out and clean the gutters now will be a recommendation from my neighbor. So he agreed to contact us a month ahead of time to give us a date and approximate time, so I decided not to cancel. Their technician Rich was at our house for roof blow and gutter service. It was pouring hard that day but he spent 2 hrs at our house working non-stop. He cleaned all the gutters and took all the debris out of downpours. Cleaned the property with a leaf blower after he was done. So happy with his work. read more

My gutters hadn't been cleaned in a couple of years and my solar panels were producing less power than expected, so I decided both needed to be cleaned. It's usually a good sign that the gutters need cleaning when they're so full of gunk that plants start growing out of them. I have a garden in my backyard. I don't need one on my roof too! AA Window and Gutter had cleaned my roof and gutters in the past, before I had solar panels, so I was happy that they added the solar panel cleaning service to their repertoire. They did a great job. The gutters are totally clean now, and gurgling happily when water is poured into them (to test). And the solar panels look as good as new. Wrt the solar panels, from what I can tell with just one day of testing, they're already producing 5% more power than they did just the day before. There was no discernable difference in the weather or amount of sunlight between the two days. My only complaint, and the reason I was going to knock a star off their review: I had scheduled my appointment at 8 a.m., at their urging, to ensure I was at the beginning of the workday, and thus less likely to be subject to schedule creep that you often see with these kinds of businesses. I had scheduled the appointment well over a month in advance. This morning, they called and said they'd be a little late. A little turned into nearly two hours, which put the cleaning right in the middle of work calls that I was taking. I was not happy about this "hiccup" at all. That said, they were great on the job, efficient, and friendly and not defensive about the hiccup. They owned it, in fact, and even apologized for it. They also gave me a $50 discount, which I suspect was due to the hiccup (they didn't say). I restored that star after their exemplary and immediate response to my complaint. I will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

AA Window and Gutter always does a great job. Our only issue this time, and it was quite minor, was that two screens didn't get replaced after the window washing, but the actual job was great and the windows look amazing! They also cleaned off the tops of our gutters (we have Leafguard, but it turns out Leafguard doesn't maintain the tops) so that's something that has to be done every few years when leaves pile up on top.
