Will and Jon of RainTech, a small two-person outfit in Federal Way, were absolutely wonderful to work with. I was in need of a gutter replacement on my house (two stories) and Will was very prompt in responding to a request for estimate without even having to visit the site (he did it all from satellite imagery) and was very up front in his communication. Upon arrival of my scheduled job start, he did a walk-around and took note of a few areas which would need some extra/adjusted attention that would not have been possible during the initial estimate; except for the fact I asked him to replace some additional sections not previously requested, the estimate did not change. He also gave his honest opinion of a couple of aspects of the project I had originally asked for, but didn't think would be necessary; rather than try and upsell me, he was very forthcoming with his desire to do right by the customer. He and his partner also offered to treat my roof with moss killer since they would already be up there, at no charge (I paid for the material), which in my opinion, is what a lot of contracting businesses out there are sorely lacking. Rain Tech is terrific! Will changed my rectangular standard gutters to 3" rounds and I haven't had any blockages since! Small leave debris was constantly restricting my old gutters, but the flow rate has increased so they now stay clear. They also stayed clear during last winter's snow and ice accumulations. A portion of our gutter was detached from the house, so we needed repairs. I called Will at RainTech Gutters and he was fabulous. Very friendly and professional. He arrived on-time and was so friendly. He completed the repair quickly and efficiently. He even inspected the remainder of our gutters to ensure there were no loose bolts, and trimmed part of a tree branch that was interfering with one of the gutters. Update: I contacted Will for another gutter and to reattach a hanger that came loose on the previous job. Knowing this is a busy time of year, I thought it was great when he said he should be able to do it "next week". The following week, he asked for the measurements and details, and said, "I can get this done for you next week." And I never heard from him again. (This was 2 months ago.) Great experience. During recent REALLY rainy days, I desperately needed to divert all this water away from my building to slow it from seeping in through the ground. The RainTech crew saved the day by running a long, tidy section of gutter promptly and efficiently. I used RAINTECH last summer (2014) to replace cracked and painted too many times gutters on the front of my house. Will came out a gave a great price. Installation was prompt, on-time and there was no mess. Yesterday, I had them come back to put on an effective and affordable gutter screening product (not any of the heavily marketed ones), because of all the tree debris that lands on my roof. Yes I would hire Will for gutter work. Will and his worker showed to my house at 1pm and finished by 4:30pm. Fast, efficient, and affordable. I have been reaching out via multiple channels to find a gutter installer. If I wasn't happy in my career I assure you I would enter the gutter business. I had contacted via phone, email, website, and text messages to 8 local gutter installers and received Zero replies. Customer service is apparently DEAD in this industry. I had searched Angie's List, local web sites, google searches, local face book referrals, and All were lame an un responsive. I finally went to craigslist and found Will and Rain Tech. It took a little time for him reply but we finally got an appointment on the books and He showed up on the day, a little late because of a previous job took a bit longer (which I don't mind and completely understand).
