Owner replies with "text message is a new way of communicating". Which she means is it's another way of her to avoid you after she scams. She fully believes text messaging is an excepted way of doing business now days. I was a day late on my payment and requested aid from my agent Sherry Lutz (who is a nightmare to begin with). She was short, uncaring, and refused to even understand what was happening in my life. She then said we had to underwrite my insurance again to reinstate. I ended up speaking with Karl, the owner, who seemed sympathetic at first. He assured me that he would contact me immediately with an update. He never called me back, and the next day I followed up with an email. I received a very cold email back stating that I was not going to be reinstated by Mercury even though I was never told I wasn't going to be reinstated to begin with. After a couple of emails inquiring as to what was happening, he refused to respond because he and the rest of the staff knew they were caught in a false statement. After speaking to the person who initially referred me to them and other clients, I realized that others had the same issue that I was having and had left Keycity years ago because of the horrific and subpar service they received. I ended up sending a follow up email requesting my binder and file so that I could review it and provide it to a new agent. That's when things went off. Karl stated that he was refusing to provide me with my file, my binder and my information because it was his to keep. He then told me not to contact the company and then threatened to cancel my home insurance along with my already canceled auto insurance. He was threatening and aggressive. This company does not care about the consumer. They drop the ball and are afraid to admit it. I have been forced to report them and file a formal complaint to the department of insurance. It was not too much of a surprise to discover that I am not the first to file a complaint against them. Please avoid this company at all costs.
