I have been going to this place for 15 years, I grew up on Pensacola Beach. I have had my nails…read moredone here several times, but I've never had a massage. I recently scheduled a trip to go back home and visit my family in Gulf Breeze. After working long week hours, I was ready for a massage! After asking around I found that most massage places were so far from Gulf Breeze and mostly in the Pensacola area. I called Arriba to see if they had any openings. I am so glad I did! They had a couple of appointment options available within a 2 day time period. Candice is the massage therapist at Arriba. She asked me if I had any trouble areas and I explained that my neck and back had a lot of pain. You can tell she has a lot of experience, she is very professional, extremely friendly, provides a very calming atmosphere and I was so relaxed after I left! I am picky about pressure and she was very accommodating. An hour massage was $65. They have shorter sessions available. They are located in Harbor Town Shopping Center and have other services available (pedicure/manicure/hair).

While on vacation in Gulf Breeze, my daughter and I were able to get an appointment the next day…read morefor mani-pedi's. We chose the vinyl polish. Both Malinda & Panayiota did our manicures and Panyiota did both the pedicures. These ladies were so nice to visit with. Actually, we had great conversation with everyone in the shop including other patrons. We love, love our nails. The ladies were gentle and showed great care. The vinyl polish is amazing! It has lasted forever and weathered the storms we put our nails through very well. And, the price was also great! I wish we lived closer; we would be there monthly!! Thank you ladies! Great Job!!

New-ish in town. Went somewhere else last time out of a time constraint on a weekend. First cut…read morehere. Got home and my girlfriend's response in a stern tone was, "WHO did that to YOU?" I hesitantly told her, "Nick. Nick did this to me..." She went back to working on her computer with an almost sassy proclamation, "Wellllll NICK's cutting your hair as long as we live here." There's your 5 stars. Annnnd moving right along... I checked out some of the other reviews (always with a grain of salt) before coming in. Sure, there's a price jump between a Sports Clips next to a Wal-Mart versus a higher end men's barber shop downtown, but that should be a given - or at the very least inquired about prior to scheduling, getting a cut, and then going to pay if a few bucks more is an issue that would later be used as a ding on yelp. The price was fair and right in line with anywhere else I've been in other nice cities with similar quality. Good bar selection. I unfortunately scheduled my appointment too early to enjoy this, but was still tempted. Solid gesture though. The other guys were on first name basis with their barbers catching up and cheesin' in the seat, so clearly there is good consistency amongst all the stylists. The receptionist didn't answer the phone like I was the Pope, put on a face like she was in a church play, give me a big southern "howdy," or pull a fresh baked pie out of the oven upon my arrival, but it's a trendy barber shop. That's what I sought out and that's what I got. So, all reasonable expectations were met/exceeded.

I actually drive all the way from Alabama to come get a hair cut and a beard trim. Typically giving large tips because of the great service. Today my drive was delayed a few minutes because of July 4th traffic coming from an hour away, and also with it being a busy weekend it took a couple of extra minutes to find parking. I arrived exactly 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and was told I would have to reschedule because there was another appointment an hour after mine. I offered to shorten the appointment time and not get the beard done. My haircuts typically take about 25 minutes. No other explanation or reason was given. I have never heard of this policy from them and it very unfortunate that it had to be after driving over an hour in the middle of my workday to get a haircut. Wasn't a fan of the receptionist's customer service, and will sadly be finding a new place to get a cut.

I visited The Penton House Barbershop on a Friday just before date night for straight razor shave…read more The location is great on 9th Ave and very close to Bayfront. There is free street parking and the street is fairly low on traffic. The inside has a nice feel and the area I was in felt like a traditional American barbershop shop. It felt nice and comfortable and a place you can feel at ease. The chair was very comfortable and fit me well. Amanda greeted me at the front reception area with a smile and escorted me to the chair. We talked about the service and what she was going to do. She shaped up my side burns first, the my beard and mustache, and finally a little eyebrow touch up. The eyebrow trim was a nice touch and a first with a shave. She then moved on to the shave. A hot towel was used with normal warm foam and of course a straight razor. She went over my entire face with expert ease. After done she did another hot towel and a nice wood scented aftershave. I had no irritation at all. A quick look in the mirror and touch and it felt good. I returned home and asked my wife to check me out. She gave me the touch test and agreed it was a good shave. One thing to know is that Amanda does smoke. If you are hypersensitive to smoke smell it might off putting. It did not bother me, but it as noticeable. Overall solid shave and a great place to visit. I will likely return for another shave.
