Called guys AC out, and technician said that my unit was locked down and unfixable. First said I could get a new unit for $14,000 and then negotiated it to $12,000. Had another company come out and put in a new capacitate and the unit has been working since that. This company was untruthful and could've gotten my unit going with a new capacitater, instead, they told me I had to get a new unit and they left me in the heat, and did not tell the truth. I would definitely not recommend them to anybody. read more

I don't often put up a review but I have to tell you this is truly a customer oriented company. We had a major malfunction in a fairly new system we bought from them and the part was so obscure that it needed to be ordered and would take some time. They actually sent us up some window units to keep us with AC while we were waiting for the part. After talking to the manufacturer of the system they sent out their tech to do even more tests and he found the root cause of the failure and replaced everything we needed and replaced the thermostat as well. I could not be more happy with the work and the care they took to take care of our issue. I highly recommend them for any AC or heating need you may have. read more

Awesome company! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! We just moved to the area and the house we bought had issues with the AC. I'm so glad that we were referred to this company because they have been wonderful from the start. In the last couple of months, they've come out probably 4 times to fix different issues and always arrive within the time we're given. I'd like to share an example of their great customer service: The seller of our house paid for a whole year of home warranty service. When we noticed that the AC wasn't cooling on very hot days, we called our home warranty to fix/replace a return box that was made of fiberglass material and was busted on the top. The home warranty sent a company that said that they couldn't replace the box with a metal box (the right way to do it per our contractor) but only with fiberglass. BS! Then my claim got canceled. I'm guessing that replacing that return box wasn't covered :/. We decided to contact Guys for an estimate and they sent Donnie, who said that the return box needed to be replaced with a metal box, and I didn't even tell him about what happened with the other company! A few days later, our condenser wasn't powering on, so I called Guys and Donnie came to the rescue! He's very courteous, professional and to the point. Sorry for the long post. My husband reminded me recently that we needed to have an annual check-up of our 3 Trane A/C units which are 2-years old. It just so happens that a few days later, I was in Home Depot in Conroe, TX, and a man was holding a clip-board---when he saw me, he asked if I needed my a/c serviced. He said Home Depot would organize for Guy's Air Conditioning & Heating to call me to set up an appointment. He said Guy's is family owned and honest; otherwise Home Depot would not be referring Guy's to customers. I liked the words "family owned" and "honest." I gave the man my contact information, and within a few days, someone from Guy's called me to set up an appointment. On 4-28, Donny (a/c tech) arrived and had a look at the units (in the attic and outside). He was friendly, professional, and serious about his job. He used a meter to check my exterior units, and he said it is a pretty expensive little meter (I'm going to call it a meter, as I can't remember the term he used.), and it is VERY PRECISE. As it turns out, one of my a/c units had an issue which, if not remedied, could cause us problems. This did not entirely surprise me, because that unit was blown off the cement pad two years ago during a storm, and the cables leading from the unit to the house were seriously damaged. At that time, the original a/c installer/tech came out and charged us a small fortune to repair the damage. According to Donny, the unit's pressures would not stabilize, which indicates contamination in the freon. It was also a pound low, so I gave him the okay to add freon. Donny advised that the freon needs to be bled and replaced with new freon. We will do that in the near future, as Donny said it is not "imperative" that it be done TODAY. He left a quote for our review, and the fee for checking all 3 systems and adding a pound of freon was, in my opinion, reasonable. As we exchanged chit-chat, he mentioned he is raising his young daughter himself. Very endearing! What can I say? I WILL BE USING Guy's Air Conditioning & Heating for my twice-a-year routine servicing, and any other issues that may arise. read more

Great company, awesome customer service and honest!! We had been using a company for over 5 years that came out to look at the AC and said we needed a fan motor but that we might as well buy a new ac unit as it looked like the rest of the ac could go by and we were out of warranty. We were quoted $2400 for the motor or $10,000 for a new ac, a discounted price as they were considering us Friends and Family. I decided to get another opinion and glad I did and so happy I was able to find Guys. I left a message at 6am on a Saturday morning not expecting to hear back until Monday, Sue texted me back by 7am Saturday and by 9am I had an appointment scheduled for Monday. Chad came out and we were so impressed with his honesty and knowledge, he looked at the fan and ac and told us we only needed a motor and the AC should last us a while as it was only 5 years old. The price of the motor installed was $694, wow what a difference in price right? They came out the next day and installed it. It sure made us wonder how long we had been taken by this so called reputable nationwide AC and Heating Company!! To say we are extremely happy is an understatement and it is also so refreshing to meet someone in the service industry that says they are honest and actually are. Guys put in a new Trane 3 years ago and wrote on notes that the system was low on 410A. The new freon EPA standard. After they put it in, service guy had to come out many times to find a leak with the freon and put dye all over on pipes in house only to find it was outside in unit. Just found out that they put in an R-22 unit and lied on service report. That the unit still has R-22 in it. I found this out from another air conditioning company that came out to chk units. So disappointed that they clearly lied. read more

The sales agent promised a quality job installing our HVAC for almost $18000. Unfortunately, they didn't install 6 dampers, HEPA filter, put rotten wood to level the pads that the AC sat on, damage to inside brushes inside the AC units. We had to call them to correct this. We had to involve Lowe's who contracted with Guy's to complete the contract. This was a very disappointing experience especially after the money spent. It is sad that money is their priority not the customer. read more

We needed new AC units badly and decided to go through Costco to purchase them. Guy's Air Conditioning handled the installation on their behalf. I can't say enough good things about Guy's AC. Diane was fantastic! She handled the quote and stayed with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy with the work. She genuinely cares about her customers. Cathy in their financial department was wonderful. The three gentlemen who handled the installation both days were equally fantastic. Sometimes, you get nervous leaving the premises when you have strangers in your house. I had no reservations leaving my house to go run errands. They were so friendly, nice and trustworthy. To me, that's a huge plus these days. They took the quality of their work very seriously and made sure we were happy with everything they had done. I really can't thank Guy's AC enough. No way would I recommend this company. Save yourself some time and money and call someone else. My Blower Motor / Module went out on a 3 year old AC System so the parts were under warranty, Their technician tried to OVER CHARGE for the repair by charging for the replacement of 2 parts... The Blower Motor and the Module which are attached to each other. I called another company who came out and fixed it the same day for half the cost. It literally took him 15 minutes to remove the Blower Motor / Module, he took it to the MFG and the MFG provided him with the new parts all in the same day at half the cost. I called the tech and questioned him why on earth he would charge labor for both parts that are connected together. Stay away from these crooks and find a more honest AC Company. Total Quoted cost for replacing the Blower Motor was 462.00 plus the original 54.00 for them to come out. The company I had fix it was half the cost. read more
