I can't say enough about this company. We had some air conditioning issues the last couple of days so we called our home warranty group. After a couple of days they sent us an email telling us they would be here the following day. In researching the company they were going to send, reviews were one star or less. Totally bad reviews so we decided to go with Kingwood Air Solutions since they had been here a few years ago. I called just before noon and they said they would have someone come out between 1-5 pm. He was here within an hour or so. Taylor the technician was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, courteous, answered questions, and came equipped with any and all parts needed. I'm glad I called them!!! They were able to see me next day, other places I had called were 2 to 3 days away and with my house at 89 on the inside wasn't gonna work for me. do not use this company! the came for a service call American Home Shield in July to fix an issue in why my secondary drain pan over flow, so they unclog my pipe to release the excessive water but never figuring out what was causing so much water. Now we are in cold season, my furnace circuit board needed to be replace in order to get hot air but I notice water still on the secondary drain pan. I have to pay another service charge to have them come out. Plus I ask technician that was already there to install a overflow switch that cost @$20 and he quoted me $165 for that service. I called Kingwood Air solution to ask what covers $165 and she said trip charge, labor and part... trip charge he was already there!!! the part cost $20ish and all you have to do is clip switch into drain pan and connect wire which take a minute to do. this is a RIP OFF! read more

I wish I took my own advise and research companies before using them. This company was sent to check my a/C central unit as it was not cooling. They charged $180 to "clean it" then said it needed to be replaced. They said they would call the home protection service company and request a replacement. The protection plan called me next day to inform me this company reported the corrosion to be caused by dog urine thus they would not cover. It amazes me how a technician from a visual inspection was able to conclude with certainty what I would refer to a forensic corrosion examination and determined what caused the corrosion. The short of it: ============ They failed to correct a problem on a prior visit. Then they failed to bring the correct parts for the job. Then they inflated the price of a home warranty repair. Call Elite Comfort AC & Heating instead. The long of it: ============ I had the guy out to fix a popping noise coming from the AC drain line to my sink. I had researched the problem and found it was usually caused by air pressure from the AC unit blowing bubbles in the sink's P-Trap. Kingwood's tech said that that was the case. He examined a number of potential fixes and removed a cap on the condensate overflow air vent. He said if it still caused a problem to try installing a cap otherwise a P-trap was the accepted way to solve the problem. The problem came back and I called my home warranty company and they sent Kingwood Air back out. The tech described the problem to the warranty company as being "normal". Then he offered to add the missing P-trap for $145. I asked him why it was so expensive, he said he had to drive to get the $10 part. LOL. I told them it was the P-trap issue when I made the initial call. Why didn't he bring one? And why does it cost $135 to drive 0.9 miles to Home Depot? I'll be buying the part. Maybe I'll call them back to install it. So I recommend, if you have a choice, go anyplace else for HVAC service. I've used Elite Comfort AC & Heating in the past with great results. ALSO! Well a week ago, I gave a review and to say it was not favorable is mild. I was very upset with the customer service I received then. However, Come Monday morning, I received a call from Bryan who apologized for not being able to service my unit the previous Saturday. Surprised me! But not only did he give an apology, he also insisted on paying my out of pocket expenses I paid to have my unit repaired. Ok, not I trying to get up from the floor because, who does that? He gave me an apology, an explanation and sent me a check. Now, this is excellent customer service. So now I am very willing to willing change my review. He did not pay me to do so. I am doing so because that was the only problem I had and he made that right. So if you need an unit service, try Kingwood Air Solution. I will use them again. read more

Through my AHS warranty (yeah, warranties are horrible) The tech comes out 4 times. 3 of the times I wasn't there. I took off work the 4th time so I can better explain the issues going on with my AC. I walk up to him (while he's trying his hardest not to acknowledge my presence) and say "hey what's going on"( in a Hello kinda way) He tells me "ain't nothing wrong with this shit" i try to explain what is going and he don't want to hear it. He continues to be a prick and says he's not coming out anymore and to get a second opinion. So I get another tech to come out. Says the copper line was too small and was over working the compressor. It was in fact undersized (Was he right? About it overworking the compressor? Who knows.) But he was the only one that noticed the quarter inch copper line was way too small. Then Kingwood air solutions calls and says they're ordering a compressor. What?! I thought you guys were done with me?? So I cancel it while I sort everything out and call Kingwood the next day and tell them what's going on. I get called a liar, he gets mad that I got a second opinion and says he won't fix it and to let the other guy mess it up. Starts talking to me like I'm a child. Talking in circles.... Then after I get off the phone he starts texting me being a smartass. Yeah kiss my ass. I'm just gonna replace the whole unit with a company that doesn't have their head up their ass. I'm sure Bryan will get on here with a clever misleading comment about what didn't actually happen. Did I have some choice words for him? Absolutely. I have been doing this for 20 years I know what the problem is. Yep. You are the problem and FOS. I had someone some our and with the REPAIR to the House where he didn't see it. Like I don't know AC and when the other company showed me the hole in the tube it was apparent that was the issue. He went straight to saying it was a coil without even checking it. Then he left to get "tools" and left and didn't come back interesting. This company came out to do a AC Repair at my home. When the Tech comes for the repair I go outside and he's releasing back pressure feon into the air this after telling me my system was completely empty and he me tells that my system has to be relieved of the back pressure of feon, so he proceeds to release the feon into the outside air, if I would not have came out when I saw his truck outside I would have never knew he released that feon into the atmosphere. Later I would learn that he was supposed to recapture that feon instead of releasing it. After releasing the feon he proceeds to recharge my system with feon at $60 lb. I asked why couldn't my feon he released couldn't be reused and he states that he had no device that would allow him to do that. He tells me it'll take about 10 lbs to fill a 7lbs system I tell him no thanks just refill 7 because it seems like he let 3 to 4 pounds escape. The tech completes the repairs and about 10 days later my AC is not working in it's normal operational mode so I call them back and let them know my system is not working correctly when he comes back out he says everything is fine. Now I get my 1st Electric Bill since repairs and it's 357 and AC only on for 10 days of billing cycle normally with AC running for whole 30 days 260 -270. So I go the full billing cycle with AC and my Bill is 440. So I go into the attic to see what going on and my attic is like 75 degrees when it's normally around 110 easy up there. I check the AC and I feel Air escaping from every where Kingwood Air Solutions Tech never resealed my AC that he opened up for the repairs and for 55 days my system was cooling my attic. After this discovery I go to Home Depot and purchase merchandise to reseal myself and my AC functions correctly now. I call Kingwood Air Solutions to ask what they planned to do about it and the manager tells me that they bear no responsibility for the Tech non completion of his job and for the Quality Control of his work. SO PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF THIS COMPANY'S UNSCRUPULOUS WAYS. BUYER BEWARE. I'm in the process of filing a Small Claims Suit against them. I want to warn off as may people as I can. read more

AHS assigned these guys to fix my air conditioning unit. They wanted to replace it instead of repair it, giving me a number of reasons why my older unit would need to be replaced eventually. I ultimately decided against a replacement and opted for the repair. But they ended up charging more than quoted, which was disappointing. The guy complained how using AHS really cost them money as they contracted doing work for nothing. I don't understand why they still would continue with them in that case. They appeared to make up for the loss by charging me for code updates and other things that at least to me seemed unrelated to the defective coil they said was causing the problem. I asked if they could just repair the coil but they said they wouldn't and that they had to install all new outgoing piping, a new drip pan, etc. None of these were covered by insurance of course, and the bill was 4 digits, so I think they got their money's worth from me in the end. read more

setting up appointment was fast and easy, tech arrived within the time agreed to. tech was pleasant and professional, listened well and work effectively. found a soon to be problem and we decided to replace part. did a good job and cleaned up after. service was good. asked him if they did AHS work and he said no. the other review says they do, maybe they have quit doing AHS work. the part and install was the shocker. asked how much and it was 10 times the price of the part cost from Amazon. i asked for a bid on another part and it too was 10 times the cost off line. they do good work but very expensive. read more
