We love coming here . We used to go to Guzzetta and Son but Nick retired and closed the Sacramento shop. He was still here at this location since he still dabbles in jewelry every so often. The place was busy when we went in so I couldn't visit with Nick. The place is a nice size and a lot of different styles and brands. We got our wedding rings from Nick long ago and needed to resize them. With the prices of gold going crazy it wasn't cheap. Oh well , what good is a ring if you don't wear it. read more

My wedding set was originally purchased at the their original location in the the Arden area. The store is no longer there. I needed my ring resized. This location is a little far of a drive, but it's worth the drive. As always, the staff and service is excellent. They are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and professional. Had my fathers ring resized for me after he passed away. I've been wearing it for three years. I noticed the other day the weld had broke. I called them and they told me it would cost $100 to get it fixed that it was normal wear and tear. I call bull crap. Came in to get a ring removed and man, that service was awesome. I believe it was the owner or Manager. He was able to remove it within 5 minutes. I was expecting to pay but he said a "thank you" was enough. I mean, I don't even remember the last time I ever heard that as a consumer but was extremely happy to hear. I was hung up on the phone when I was looking for my unrepaired wedding ring that they had and held for 12 days and never was able to repair it in a timely manner and finally returned it to me. Should've read the reviews closely before choosing Guzzetta to string our daughter's pearls. Two jewelers said they'd have the pearls strung by Christmas, we chose this place as it's closer to home. It was only after they gave the pearls to the person who does the stringing that they informed us they wouldn't actually be done in time as the person was going on vacation. So then it was too late to go to the other jeweler who would've had it done. Bait and switch, and no apology - went so far as to blame us for waiting a week before the holiday despite saying they would have it done in time. Terrible customer service. read more

I recently brought my custom-made sterling silver antique ring to Guzzetta for a simple sizing and engraving. I figured Guzzetta was a reputable jeweler with adequate experience to perform this simple task. Boy was I wrong! I can see the seam where the ring was cut with my naked eye the engraving is crooked. I gave them one chance to fix this problem, and they couldn't manage to get it right. I am done dealing with Guzzetta and I am actually driving my ring to Sharif jewelers as we speak. I understand that my ring is not a high dollar ring, but it means a lot to me. The Jeweler at Guzzetta obviously rushed this job with little care given to detail. Stay away from this place. Nick Guzzetta helped my husband design my wedding and engagement rings 30+ years ago. I love sapphires so they put sapphires and diamond baguettes around the center stone. It is simply gorgeous. My parents retired to Roseville after my son was born and Nick helped my mom resize her rings when her arthritis worsened and she couldn't get her rings off or on! He also designed an anniversary ring for my mom for their 50th wedding anniversary. When my son met the girl of his dreams he went in and Greg helped him design her engagement and wedding rings. Imagine my surprise when a diamond baguette fell out of my ring and Guzzetta employee said they would get an estimate quickly for me. (Dropped off ring on May 31st) I called on June 11th to check in and Tarra said they had not gotten the estimate together. Tarra was incredibly rude and said the estimate would be another week! No apology just "oh well we did not get it done." I was so frustrated as they replaced the sapphire next to the diamond in March and most likely loosened the diamond that had now fallen out. Today I picked up my wedding ring and took it to Dave Hansen at DeVon's jeweler in the mall. He gave me a clear idea of when the estimate would be done and when the repairs could be made. He seemed liked he clearly valued my business. My neighbor, a long time Roseville resident, said Guzzetta's has gone down hill and they really don't care about their longtime customers anymore. Do yourself a favor and skip Kay, and ShaneCo! This is a smaller company, and they treat people with kindness and respect. Greg made my engagement ring shopping a breeze. I probably wasn't doing a good job explaining what I wanted with my ring, and they didn't have the EXACT thing in for me to try on (most settings just stuck out a little to much for me). I put my trust in Greg because I was only able to see a photo of the actual ring I was getting. (I wanted a very specific detail not because a lack of selection). It was hard to tell if it would look exactly how I wanted when I got it, and I was hesitant... but they set my diamond PERFECTLY, and Greg guided me to my DREAM ring even with a dicey description of what I had dreamed up. He helped my Fiancé get the best bang on the diamond and we went much bigger than I expected without compromising any quality. It has some serious sparkle! What I appreciate the most is that they did not use the pandemic as an excuse to compromise customer service. Life, and wedding planning is challenging enough during a pandemic and I find people in customer service have lost touch with humanity, and connection. Not here, Greg and the other representatives made the experience of ring shopping sweet and special unlike the other stores. Buyers beware once they have your money its over. I don't like writing negative reviews but feel compelled to save others from this situation that presented itself. In my 51 years I have never experienced such horrible transaction that I had with Guzzettas Jewelers. Little background on my story I bought some expensive to me ear rings for my girlfriend which was to help the rocky road we were on. Well that night it didn't work out like I planned and we broke up. The very next day I brought the Ear-rings back for refund explaining my situation. Gary was stone cold with we can't return for a refund only in store credit. I beg you I don't need any in store credit I just lost my girlfriend last night. Insult to injury. Please have some compassion and leniency for my incident less than 24 hours prior. Never worn still giftwrapped still no mercy. Hopefully this review will help others decide and stay away from the greedy and unsympathetic people like Nick and Gary that represent Guzzetta Jewelers. My first Yelp review- the older man that owns this is the best part and helped me the first time I went in. He was awesome. The other men are not helpful and totally dropped the ball on our necklace. They had it a month and forgot to send it in to have it fixed. Then when we said we would come get it they said they didn't have it but would have it on Saturday. We went to pick it up(he said they closed at 3:00) and we pulled up at 2:30 and this guy was locking the door!! It has gone way down hill. The man who helped me, I think he is the actual original owner, was not very personable. The worst customer service you can imagine. We took my husbands wedding band in for a simple repair. (It got bent somehow). The man who helped us was abrupt, rude and impatient. He barely glanced at the ring and quickly told us that it would be $20.00 a solder...and the repair would require several, plus the cost for any other repairs that were required. We of course asked why? We were TOLD the band had several cracks. (Not shown) He then abruptly told one of the office girls to just give us a claim check. We were like, "whoa whoa...where are the cracks?" "Wait, show us what needs to be done". The man continued to respond to our simple questions with an aggressively bad attitude. We walked out WITH our ring...(lost customers) We then went over to Fountains to the Kenny G. & Company Jewelers. The Manager, Robert Hewitt happened to be there...he inspected the band. NO CRACKS. Immediately repaired the bent band in front of us...then buffed it to sparkling new...beautiful job...NO CHARGE! Now that's service. Will we be back to Kenny G & Company? Will we tell our friends? If there were 0 stars that's how I would rate this jewelry store! I brought 2 rings in one to be sized and the other had a loose diamond the prong needed to be adjusted. The sales associate recommended that I have it dipped in rhodium so I agreed. However when I picked the rings up the stone was loose on the ring I had sized and the one that was dipped was very rough on the inside. I brought them back and they refused to address the issue. I'd have to pay again. The sales associate said that "I" had damaged the ring!!! I had NOT worn the ring! AT ALL!!!! So rude I've been taking all of my jewelry there for almost 17 years. I've had my jewelry appraised there...I was shocked! They did not care in the least. I would not go here again if they were giving jewelry away...most of the selection is very standard and boring anyway. That's why I have never purchased anything and only have taken my jewelry for adjustments! I'm thoroughly disgusted with the attitude I received. DO NOT SHOP HERE! I bought my engagement and wedding ring here. Less than 6 months later the band has diamonds falling out. I take it in to get it fixed, then they lose my ring and the guy on the phone was a jerk about it because I was questioning how much it was going to cost me to replace one diamond. I get to the jeweler to look at it and it ends up being a totally different ring. They find the ring two days later and in my opinion the cost to replace it was expensive but I paid it. Two days later TWO more diamonds fell out. I went to a different jeweler because my experience was so bad there and they tell me that they don't recommend that I replace the diamonds at all because the other ones are going to fall out too! The prongs are so tiny and not well made that they advise to not fix it. I can't believe I spent all that money and my wedding band is a cheap piece of garbage. I went to the Guzzetta on Douglas Blvd. in Roseville to solder my wedding bands together. They soldered all rings unevenly together and when I brought it back to them, they told me they would not fix it. Terrible customer service and the man at the front desk was rude. They acted like it was my fault they were uneven and annoyed I came back to get them fixed. Please, take your rings elsewhere so you don't go through what I did. Took my watch in for a new battery. Salesman (D. Carpenter) couldn't get the back off so I had to leave it for the "watchmaker". A week later, I picked it up. The watch had not been set to the time or date. I set it and left to pick up my husband. I left the store at 2:30 and got to his office at 2:15. The watch was running backwards!!!! This is a Raymond Weil ($1,000) watch. I've had the battery replaced for the past 3 years at this store. They are the only store that opened the back of this watch. They wanted me to return the watch for "repairs". I don't trust a watchmaker who would damage a watch and return it without saying anything about the damage he did. Why would I trust him to "fix it"?? I took the watch to Ben Bridges and they found the circuit coil had been cut, probably when the back was forced off. This caused the watch to run backwards. BB fixed it for $113 (w/tax). I have asked Guzzetta for reimbursement for the damage they caused and have gotten nothing but stall tactics from Gary Guzzetta. Next step is small claims court. Beware of this store!! They are dishonest and lack integrity. read more

Where do I begin? I'm recently engaged and my wonderful fiancé purchased my engagement ring at Guzzetta Jewelers in Roseville, CA. I am not a flashy girl and I personally don't like gotti jewelry, sentimental pieces are my favorite...they mean the most, all of which my fiancé is well aware of. Upon receiving my ring, I was full of joy and felt it was a great representation of me and quickly fell in love. Needless to say, I was unable to wear it because it was two sizes too small. No biggie, it can be resized! After some time of "oohing" & "awwing" over it, I was bummed I couldn't wear my special ring. It was then I quickly noticed the quality of the band. The discoloration and slight bent on the shaft. After careful review, I asked my fiancé how his experience with Guzzetta went and if he knew the size he was given. He proceeds to tell me how he felt as if they intently gave him poor customer service based on his modest budget, and belittled him for his choice of sized diamond. He specifically told the sales lady that he needs a 7.5....my ring size. Before coming to Guzzetta, he went to other places in search of the perfect ring and landed at Guzzetta's. We then decided we would go to another jeweler to have it looked at, given at the time, Guzzetta was closed. Going in, I wanted to see if they would pick up on what I noticed and telling them I just needed to know the size of the ring and get a rough estimate on sizing. Low and behold...they noticed and gave me their honest opinion without bad mouthing Guzzetta, and actually showing respect of my fiancé's choice of ring!! With the information I recieved, we decided to give Guzzetta the benefit of the doubt, and see if they can fix it. The following day, we went in and told the gentleman we were given the wrong ring size. Too my shock, no apologies were given. Just a simple "do you have the ring?" & "try this size". I then explained to him that there was a slight bent on the shaft, and he assured me it would be fixed once they size it up free of cost. Ok, great!! It was a quick in and out visit, and handed them my ring and waited for my phone call back for pick up. They called & I proceeded to drive over to pick up my ring. Upon receiving my newely modified ring, I noticed that it felt a little off on my finger, and had seen the shaft was still bent if not more! I bring it to the sales lady attention, and she tries to explain that it was the design of the ring. I disagreed. She was rude and condescending. She then goes on by saying "if it were a bigger diamond we could fix it". How is the size of the diamond relative to the shaft of the band? Makes no sense, absurd! I respectfully asked her to explain it to me and she couldn't. All she kept saying is that it was a "small diamond" & it was "the design of the band". You can clearly see the shaft angles up to the right. After explaining this to her, she then blames me and says "that maybe you did something to it when you were forcing it on before resizing?" I BEG YOUR PARDON!?! I was clearly upset. So withought causing any attention to myself, I just picked up my ring and left. As I'm heading out the door, I hear the same lady snickering, laughing and muttering to another lady behind the counter. Clearly she was talking about me, because when I turned around and looked backed at them, they quickly looked the other way. Call me paranoid, but it was obvious given that one other couple were on the opposite side of the store. We will no longer be doing service with Guzzetta and telling our friends and family of our experience. Regardless of your budget, whether it be spending $25k to $20 on one of their pieces.....do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they treat you fairly, respectfully and have good work ethics. Purchased an engagement ring in December of 2013 at their Sacramento location. During purchase I was told about their lifetime repair and service of the jewelry and this is how it was explained to me at the time. Sales rep Greg told me of his wife and how while washing dishes she had caught a prong on a towel, broke the prong and the stone had come loose, he said that things like this happen and in this case they repaired it no questions asked and that they do this because they want to have lifelong customers. 3 days after purchase the setting was bent due to contact with my face. I left the relationship. Recently I decided to finally have the ring repaired to resell and move on and close that chapter. I found out that they had closed their Sacramento location and needed to visit the location in Roseville. In looking at the paperwork I also realized I have a due bill for the GIA certificate and a note from Sharron that says they would mail me the certificate. I have never received the certificate. I received a follow up call and was told it would be $300 to repair. I told the rep no thank you, I was told you would take care of things one way and now I'm being told something else and that I just don't feel that's acceptable. Before I had a chance to ask about the missing certificate the caller called me an Asshole and hung up. I returned to the location to pick up the ring, I talked to the owner Nick after being treated poorly by the sales rep yet again. I explained the situation and treatment and that I feel it is awful his employees talk to a customer like that. He explained they were not going to repair the ring and he was sorry I was misinformed previously. I told him I understood, it had been quite awhile and I should have returned earlier to get this straightened out but that I also have a due bill for the GIA certificate and asked he help get me the missing paperwork. He said unfortunately he could not. He had closed the other location and slightly changed the name of the business and he didn't retain the paperwork for that location, so he couldn't help. While I can understand the refusal to repair for no cost, the refusal to take care of the paperwork portion to me is unacceptable. I spent $5000 and have a letter saying you would provide me with the certificate for that sale. You did not. You are running the same kind of business and DO have access to providing me with that information if you cared to do so, All I can really say is that I can see your poor business choices have already affected your business as evidence by the closure and name change and by letting people honestly know how you behave I hope that business continues to be affected. Upon leaving Nick offered his apologies and let me know they would be there if I had any other Jewerly needs.....HA, No thank you and Id recommend you do the same. read more

I came in to exchange my husbands wedding ring due to him having an allergic reaction to it. Our ring was under warranty and were told initially we could exchange if needed by our old jeweler. We recently moved here and did not buy our ring at Guzzetta but they carry the same brand. After many frustrating calls to the manufacturer trying to figure out their policy in our situation, Guzzetta helped us with finding a new ring and dealing with the manufacturer. Freddy was our helper the whole time. He cared so much about our happiness and even though they weren't really making money off of us, he strived to give us a positive experience. I specifically chose Guzzetta & Company knowing that they were rated one of Sacramento's best. I was very happy with the selection. They had a variety of jewelry in the showroom, however I was not able to purchase what I wanted during my visit. If you need to order something, prepare for it to take a bit longer than their estimate. Their jewelry designer is an independent contractor and works by his own calendar, so dependability of just when your item will be available will vary. I think once you walk out the door, if you haven't spent a gazillion $$$ they kinda forget you. read more
