Their pricing was less expensive than other vendors we spoke to and their offerings were huge. I think it was 13 or 14 pages of options to choose from! We ended up with 6 appetizers for cocktail hour (3 hot, 3 cold), 2 proteins, 3 sides, salad and rolls. They also provided table linens, glassware, napkins and silverware plus coffee, tea and lemonade. Some of this is not included with other catering packages and is an extra fee but MO included it in our package price! When our big day arrived everything was wonderful! I only tried one of the appetizers but I heard the bacon wrapped dates and crab dip were great! We also got several compliments about how good dinner was! MO provided 2 bartenders for us as well that served the alcohol we provided. Aside from the comments about the food, we also had many people come up to us and say how friendly everyone was. Overall, Magic Occasions was not only within our budget, but provided delicious food and friendly staff! I'm so happy we made the decision to use them for our big day!

Here is our experience with the new company: I reached out to A Chef's Touch on Tuesday and was told my date was available for in-house catering for 18 guests. They sent me the menu, which looked good, and I was ready to move forward. The next morning, I called and left a message to go over menu selections and ask a few questions, including details about the carving station. I didn't hear back. The following day, I called again and left another message explaining that timing was getting close and I needed to confirm my date and finalize details. Still no response. By Thursday, I sent an email requesting a callback and asking for a time to connect. At that point, it had been several days without any communication, and unfortunately, I still never heard back. After four days of trying to reach them, I moved on and hired a private chef who was not only more responsive, but also less expensive and offering a much more memorable experience. I understand that businesses get busy, but lack of communication--especially when someone is trying to book an event--is very frustrating and ultimately the reason I chose to go in a different direction.
