We needed the exterior of our windows cleaned in a pinch before new window screens were installed. We had already scheduled the window screen installation and realized that it was our last chance to clean the exterior of the windows without having to remove screens in the future. The communications and their ability to work with our schedule was great. They showed up in a very timely manner and were very pleasant. They had ladders with protection to avoid damaging siding, or anything else they lean them against, which was much appreciated. Upon completion of the work however, the overall experience was just OK. The website states their 8 step process for window cleaning, and it states there should be 2x scrubbing of each window (steps 1 and 3). Every one of the windows only got 1x. Since our windows weren't that dirty I could live with that, but it ties into my following gripe. The cost ended up averaging $217/hr, and given two workers, this translated to about an $109/hr effective rate which is very expensive in my book. Since we were in a pinch and they accommodated our schedule, I was going to try to ignore that bad taste in my mouth. However, when they were done with the work I did a walk around (not by invitation, just my own desire to check quality) and noticed that the dirty fluid which was washed off the windows very visibly flowed onto our white siding and was in the process of drying there in ugly black splotches. You could not have possibly missed these eyesores. The crew would have been perfectly ready to take their money and leave this mess behind. I had to point out each location (there were many) and ask them to wipe it off since I couldn't possibly reach that high myself. It took a grand total of 5 minutes to get all of them wiped away. A measly 5 minutes at $109/hr to make sure you are not leaving an unsightly mess around which the homeowner can't fix themselves... why did I have to call this out myself? In my view this is not in line with their website's promise of being "extremely careful in and around your home". Overall the negatives outweighed the positives and I was considering rating at 2 stars (Yelp's "could have been better" rating), but I think that would have been a bit too unfair. In the end the work was acceptable, but it involved cutting a corner on one of their 8 steps, leaving dirty black splotches on my 2nd floor siding had I not noticed, and being very expensively priced for what was delivered. If it was half the cost I would not be writing this review, but the actual cost to quality of work ratio compelled me to do so. read more

Gwyndows did a great job on my windows. Two people worked in tandem and were very efficient and thorough. And my windows needed cleaning badly! Couldn't believe all that beauty I could see outside when they left. Granted, my house was an easy one for them -- only one story, and most windows really easy to access. The outside person only had to use a step ladder for maybe 3 or 4 windows and not real high up. But from what I witnessed, I imagine they are good even with higher and trickier jobs. Our office used Gwyndows for the second time today and they are not a fluke! I emailed and followed up with a voice message to set up an appointment. I received two return calls- first from the voice message and one later from the email. Hey, I'm not complaining because some businesses don't even return messages. We set up a time for them to clean our outside and inside windows. They called a few days before to confirm the appointment. Our office windows are a bit challenging to clean as it slopes down on a hill so you are not always on steady ground. No problem for Robin and Emily! I called and spoke to Robin about a bid. I took pictures of every window that I wanted cleaned and sent them to her. I then walked her through which windows would need a ladder or extension pole. She gave me a quote range between $330 and $380 and told me the guys would tell me where I fell within that range when they got here. The guys showed up on time and quoted me $680! Gwyndows did inside and outside windows on our home, and some high pressure cleaning of concrete porch and steps in front and back. We have a modern house with alot of windows, and I can't overstate how amazing they now look and what its done to freshen the look and feel of the place. Gwyndows was very responsive via email, gave us a ballpark estimate based on the size of our home, then recalculated the estimate once they arrived based on the actual number of windows - and the estimate went DOWN (when does that ever happen?) I've used A&D before, but saw gwyndows reviews and decided to give them a try. The job was priced about the same as I've paid competitors in the past. However, gwyndows did not clean the sills or tracks but did clean the screens. It was pretty disappointing having to clean after them. The crew consisted of a young guy and young gal. He definitely did a good job, but his associate spent more time on her phone than cleaning windows. I know the difficulty of managing people in the field, so issues are just unavoidable. Okay, first I want to clarify that all the windows and screens (except the sliding glass door screen) were clean. Secondly, I must admit that I was disappointed when a 20-something was assigned to my project...and he didn't let me down. He kept looking at his cell phone (surprise). The rag he was using was filthy as were his hands. I had to ask him after the third window that he not lean on my walls indoors, because he was leaving dirty fingerprints on my painted walls. He said he was used to being on the second floor outdoors. Most of the solar screens were bent just slightly, so I don't know if the bugs will stay out, when the windows are open, but I don't know if there was any other way to remove them. Don't know if I would recommend them, but my seven windows are clean for $100. Interestingly, the business did not check on the job or its employee after the job was finished. read more
