I was going away for a month for vacation and it was part of their attendance policy that I couldn't continue being on the team due to the absences I would accumulate, which I understood. They had asked me if I was still interested when I was back from vacation though. I decided to not cheer competitively that season to focus on school. Definitely don't come here if you can't commit. It's important to attend all of the practices because it is a team sport at the end of the day. It's not fair to others on the team either which is the reason for attendance policy. One person not showing up messes up the plan for the practice & one less stunt group to work on. Cheer gyms, in general, are tough environments to be in but coaches do mean well! The coaches never have ill intent and only want the best for you. Just know that you will miss a lot of important events such as birthday parties, etc but that's part of the commitment & what you sign up for. You can't expect to go to comps and expect to win if you only put 50% effort. Mentality & simply just showing up to put in the work plays a large role... in not only cheer but life in general. I had a great experience cheering here and wouldn't have wanted to cheer anywhere else for my last year of all-star. It is very costly but rewarding sport! Competitions are super fun and I made friends with many of my teammates, who I still keep in touch with. I was at another cheer gym closer by to where I'm from (South Shore) and this gym is superior; definitely the best cheer gym in New England. People from all over NH, Maine, MA, and I've even met people from NJ come three times a week to practice.

She also has improved every season. The coaches are top notch. The owners clearly know how to run a successful program. As a family we appreciate the time, effort and energy it takes to make great teams. Cheer is not an inexpensive sport so we especially like that there is an attendance policy. She was recently…read moreout for the month of April because of Covid and just went back, and she is honestly thriving there. The school goes to great lengths to keep everyone safe, and they are doing a great job. I think possibly because of the reduced class sizes, or new lesson structures, our daughter is doing better than ever. She is coming home telling us all kinds of stories and making lots of connections to what she learned that day. She loves going to school everyday and usually cries when we pick her up, because she doesn't want to leave. The staff are friendly and good at their jobs, from the directors to teachers. I love getting pictures and updates throughout the day through the tadpole app. I don't know what we'd do if she couldn't go back to daycare, we are very grateful that Goddard is open and working as hard as they can to keep everyone healthy and safe in these crazy times.

I wish I had taken more photos but by the third or fourth photo I was so grossed out I just wanted to get out of there. It truly looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The corners of the floor and the corners of the play structures were filled with crumbs, dust and hair. There was old drool on the big round black tire and hairballs all over the rugs. The icing on the cake was the woman working the front desk had a young child with her, who had a gross wet cough and was coughing all over the playroom and lobby.

I've noticed a dramatic difference in my athletic abilities and I can always count on the coaches to push me to my limits. They give great instruction and make suggestions according to my personal goals. When I started, I had no experience with boxing or kickboxing, now I am confident with my technique and I'm eager to learn more so I recently started jiujitsu and MMA training there as well. The coaches are friendly and no matter if you walk in knowing nothing or have some training already, you'll get an amazing workout and great results! Dave worked us pretty hard. But it was such a good hard work out. I figured i better sign up for the next month then and there or I would probably find an excuse not to go back! LOL. The other women (i was clearly the oldest probably by about 15 years) were in various stages of getting in shape and there were some younger HS students as well. Every one of them made me feel welcome, there was no avoiding me because I was the oldest etc. In fact there was this particular exercise that we did and since I was the slowest i was still going to finish my 20 wall touches ( you had to do situps and then run and touch the wall so many times. ) I will NEVER forget how one of the youngest students and one of the 30 year old student , hopped down to the mat and finished them with me and pushed me on and the other students cheered. This isn't just martial arts at Spero's...;this is family. I went there for several months and only stopped when i got a new job with hours til 7 pm, but if I can move up my shift soon by a half hour, i will surely be back! Besides, I need more stripes! Yep I even earned a stripe or two! i also enjoyed going in the cage and working out and sparring! Boxing was my favorite part, the warm up jog my least favorite. When I needed to be pushed Dave knew it and the few things I wasn't able to do physically he knew I tried and that was all he would ask. If nothing else, see if he has any self defense classes coming up. We would do that on Saturdays and it was awesome!! Trust me, you will love this place. I have seen Daves kids classes and those kids have a blast and Dave has boundless energy and patience with them. I will say too that all the men that attend there are polite and eager to encourage everyone too. Its just a great vibe there. I miss all my fellow students and know that you haven't seen the last of me yet! xo

Sensai Ed is great with all of the kids in the class and has helped teach my son a lot of great values along with helping him focus better (that's a challenge for my son). They also do a monthly party for the kids and the parents get to have a night out. The staff is great and the other families that attend are great as well. I highly recommend checking it out!
