If something isn't working we adjust the workouts keeping my goals in mind. I never leave feeling like I've failed, only that I'm making progress no matter how fast or slow but it's always moving forward. I look and feel better than I ever have. Linda seems to run the business end of things more so, and she is fantastic with follow-up to see how our girl is feeling about karate... I couldn't recommend a karate/MMA/self-defense studio more. The owner Jason is a military vet and was super kind. He even gave me a military discount since I'm an Army Vet which was nice. The gym has everything you need from a small boxing area, trx/crossfit area and of course your traditional cardio machines and weight lifting equipment. It's really a great atmosphere to get an amazing working out in. I enjoy coming here because it doesn't get packed in the AM like other gyms and the best part is if you have any questions the staff is alway there to help you and point you in the right direct. If the owner Jason is there he will even come spot you which I've seen him do a numerous of times to different individuals working out. There's also lots of parking, so if your'e around the Hudson area of NH be sure to give AMC a visit if you're looking for a gym.

It's unpretentious. As someone who is curvy and wanted to go to the gym to improve my physique, I was initially very nervous about people staring at me or judging me for using the weights. I've gone to other, bigger gyms like PF and I always felt like everyone was looking down on me, and worse, I was fighting for equipment. Not at AFC. Everyone here is going to the gym to work on themselves, whatever that means for them. While of course you have many physically fit people here, there are also people of all ages, sizes, races, men, women, etc, each sharing a common purpose. I've never had a problem snagging equipment I needed or felt like I was in anyone's way. In fact, trainers and members alike have told me they've seen great improvement in me, which makes me feel so great. That's the benefit of a smaller gym - the people there remember you and root for you. I also love the boxing class. It's really popular here! I had never done boxing before and fell in love. It makes me feel powerful. Strong. And, best of all, disguises the workouts a bit! It's so much easier to work out when you're concentrating on pads and bags, and I end up burning 400-500 calories a session. Jason, and all the trainers, pay attention to your moves and help you improve your form. The classes are smaller too, usually around 10 people, so you can ask any questions you want and the trainers can pay attention to your form. If you're a nervous first-time gym goer like I was, or if you just moved here and are looking for a clean, community gym, this is the place.

I still have a ways to go, but I am more flexible and better coordinated than I have ever been. My back problems have lessened dramatically, and I couldn't pull this off anywhere else. LFG is much more than a gym. It's a community where people form friendships and truly work together to help everyone around them succeed. It is just plain fun. The credit for that goes to the LFG team, who put community at the center of everything they do. They do much more than instruct and put us through our paces. They keep tabs on everyone's birthdays. Getting married? Shaina will organize a "bridal shower workout." I love walking in there, no matter how tired or sore I am. I see the instructors and my fellow members and everything just brightens. If you have always avoided the gym because of the usual culture, LFG is your answer. I honestly don't know what I'd do without this place. Chris is tough. He busts my balls. But he is fun, and I feel like Superman by the end of every class I take with him. Aimee and Shaina (I call my Thursday classes the "Shaimee" show) are outstanding trainers and humans. My wife had dropped off our son to LFG and told the girl working the desk that we wanted to cancel my son's membership. She said okay. Then, a month later, we were charged. When I called up to inquire they were very rude. The guy actually challenged me to a fight! He may have been hit in the head too many times because that's ridiculous. He said that the gyms policy is that cancellations must be in writing. Not a problem at all. The problem is that the girl who worked there didn't tell us that. Otherwise we would have sent an email to cancel. Also, for some weird reason, the guy on the phone kept saying that the gym is family owned. What does family owned have to do with stealing money from members? The gym ended up stealing $125 from me.
