So bummed to be writing this review. I had such high hopes and this place is adorable with so much potential. Unfortunately it is filthy. I wish I had taken more photos but by the third or fourth photo I was so grossed out I just wanted to get out of there. It truly looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The corners of the floor and the corners of the play structures were filled with crumbs, dust and hair. There was old drool on the big round black tire and hairballs all over the rugs. The icing on the cake was the woman working the front desk had a young child with her, who had a gross wet cough and was coughing all over the playroom and lobby. read more

I just got home from visiting The Itsy Bitsy Zone with my 1.5 y.o. It was fantastic! The space is SUPER clean and well maintained. Most toys are natural wood so visually it's not overwhelming either. They have a huge play kitchen area complete with a farmers market stand and kid height table, a super cool boat, a corner with foam blocks, a rock climbing structure, some trampoline style jumpers, and the most beautiful wooden indoor climbing structure I've seen. If you're unfamiliar with Cedarworks playsets I highly suggest you seek one out. They have two restrooms and a large kitchen space (with a sink!) so the kids can have lunch. Next to that there's another smaller room used for music class and then opened up for free play as well. After music they had one of those mini roller coasters and a small bounce house set up. The music class was a lot of fun, complete with dancing, bubbles, instruments and a disco ball. I can totally see why the kids love it. I hadn't intended on joining but we could hear the previous class through the doors and couldn't resist. It was 45 minutes long. Madeleine was absolutely incredible as well. So kind and welcoming, you could tell she loves what she does. I hope I meet many more people like her! All in all we spent $22, which to be honest, is way more than I want to be spending on something like this. But $22 covers music class and play for the entire day so you can come back after nap time. If we hadn't done the music class it would have only been $12. And maybe I'm being cheap but I think that's a little high too, though it's totally in range with every other place we've been to like this. We'll definitely be going back, but I'm not sure we'll be doing music class again solely because of the price. read more

What a wonderful gem! My friend and I wanted to meet up with our kids and were coming from opposite directions and found the Itsy Bitsy Zone on Yelp. We were able to have a relaxed visit while our three year olds played. We were able to nurse our infants there easily as well. Everything was clean and the toys and equipment were developmentally perfect for our toddlers. The entire place is Pinterest perfect in its decor as well. The owner who checked us in was so sweet and obviously loves little ones. We will definitely visit again! read more

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! We had my son's second birthday party there this past weekend & it was perfect. Madeleine made sure everything was taken care of so this (pregnant) mama & my husband could enjoy the party with our guests. We had 12 kiddos & lots of adults, the space is plenty big enough for play time and a great setup for lunch/cake! We just brought in decorations/supplies/had pizza delivered, Madeleine set it all up & then cleaned/organized it for us so it was very easy to put it in the car and go. Everyone commented about how cute the place was & how much fun their little one had! I highly recommend booking a party for your toddler with Itsy Bitsy Zone! read more

I was so thrilled to find this fabulous play area for my daughter (22.5 months). We live in DC, but are staying in the Newburyport area for work for a few weeks. Itsy Bitsy Zone is incredibly clean and well-run, with tons of natural light. Lots of fun toys and equipment to play on! I also really appreciated how other parents there were attentive to their kids at all times. We attended the Friday music class as a drop-in, which also grants you admission for the day. We returned again today for another play session. Would definitely come back next time we're in the area! read more

My daughters love it! They could spend the whole day here and still not want to go home. I love the kitchen so I can pack a lunch for them and we don't have to leave to eat. Highly recommend! Also the music classes are fantastic. My 2.5 year olds went once about 6 months ago and they continually ask every time we go there if we can do the class too. I had to cancel my daughters 6th birthday party due to the COVID 19 crisis. My daughter said she understood and handled it really well for a 5 going on 6 year old. But I felt awful!! I found Itsy Bitsy Zone on Facebook and for a reasonable price, they drove to my home with Minnie Mouse and a boom box! They played 3 songs plus Happy Birthday. My daughter and 3 other neighborhood friends had 15 minutes of fun dancing (in their own dance space, about 6 feet apart) with Minnie. I'm sure my daughter will never forget this birthday! My 18 month old played here for two hours straight! Anyone who is a parent knows how amazing this is to keep a child of this age occupied for 2 hours. The staff is also exceptional, I cannot say enough good things about them!! The owner in particular makes you feel like you have been lifelong friends. The first word that comes to mind upon walking in is pristine!! For a children's play space it could not be cleaner. They have a separate area (behind gorgeous reclaimed wood barn doors) for music class which we could overhear during our open play in the gym area and sounds great! They also have a kitchen and seating area to enjoy snacks. This area is perfect for birthday parties! For those hesitant on the $12 drop rate for open gym you shouldn't be it is well worth it and that fee covers you for the whole day 8:30-5; you can go back after nap time. We will be booking our birthday party there ASAP before everyone hears about this wonderful space for children. read more

First of all I would just like to say that this is the first review I have ever written on anything, second I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this review. We just celebrated my daughters 3rd Birthday here and it couldn't have gone better! It's exceeded my expectations in so many ways and made for such a memorable experience for my daughter and all her friends. Madeline was beyond helpful from when we started planning to the day of. She made the day flow perfectly and helped enhance the theme of the party. Her place is IMACULATE.. beautifully designed, and aesthetically pleasing to both kids and adults. It was a no brainer that we wanted to host our party here, but I have to say I wasn't expecting it to go just as good as it did. When we arrived, she helped us set up the party space and had so many things on hand I didn't even think to bring that just made the detail obsessed person in me so excited, she just jumped right in at getting everything set up and organized. Once guest started to arrive, she help carry gifts to the room, and settle everyone in so that I could greet and socialize with everyone as if I were a guest as well (and for a host that is a real treat !) She played the sound track to the Trolls movie, which was the theme of the party and the kids were loving it ! It was so fun to watch them all run around dancing there little butts off. And again it was such a nice personal touch to our party. We brought pizza for our guest to eat, and before I knew it they all had drinks and little slices of pizza on their plates! Madeline had just jumped right in and started serving them! It was so nice to actually eat at my own party for once. She even went around making sure all the adults had everything they needed (including complimentary coffee! ) After the kids had there cake she led them into the other room to have a little dance party to work some of the suger off. Her space is designed so brilliantly because she was able to close off the play area so the kids wouldn't get distracted and parents could easily round them up to get ready to go. We had our daughters 2nd birthday party at another play place, and it didn't even come close to how awesome it was to have it at the Itsy Bitsy Zone. And it actually cost us less !! I could continue to go on and on about how special she made the day for both my daughter AND my husband and I. But just know, if you want to take the work out of your child's party and just enjoy watching them have fun don't bother looking anywhere else and book it here!! read more

Hands down the best indoor playground and music/movement classes!! My son Jesse (20 months) loves coming here. Miss Madeleine is so good to the children and treats each child with respect, empathy and kindness. Always greets us with a smile and somehow remembers everyone's name! It always feels very clean and welcoming. We also love the kitchen area to break away for a snack or just to take a moment of needed. I highly recommend this facility for all ages. We will certainly miss coming here once we move to PA read more
