Members are issued a fob to use to enter the facility. The front desk person almost always greets us. There are plenty of machines, and many treadmills and stationary bikes - seldom out of order. Spray containers of disinfectant and loads of white wash clothes abound for members to wipe down equipment. I feel obliged to note that I was duly unimpressed by the group fitness class I attended. On my first visit, the instructor was curt and unwelcoming, barking at me that I wouldn't like the class, in front of the class. She never met me. Knew nothing about my abilities nor interest. The classmates were kind and told me I'd get "used to her". Ah. No. No. No; wrong on so many levels. Especially when a newbie comes to class, who might be self conscious or introverted or scared to attend an exercise class. People will never forget how you made them feel. (Said Maya Angelou) It is a joy to see people of all ages and abilities using the machines. I've seen elders on the bikes and tweens on the treadmills. Wee ones stroll by from the daycare area to play in their own area apart from the adults. There are large tvs and music is also piped in. It feels like a completely non-judgmental environment, and aside from the group class encounter, it's my kind of place.

Instructors NEVER say a word and the only way that I know that my child isn't making any progress is because I can see for myself. The instructors work one on one with a child so that means all the others in the group are on their own to jump around cluelessly. That means that my child receives less then 15 minutes of actual instruction per session. The only reason we took so long to quit was because my very young daughter kept begging me to stay. She has no idea what a waste this was. I was warned by multiple friends but needed to suffer for myself. I found a new place!!!

Had the pleasure of taking my granddaughter to her dance class last night. The building is a semi…read morenice size. This was just a drop off and pick up. There is a small waiting area for the parents to wait on the kids, and I only saw two bigger rooms where the kids practice. There was no organization at all, especially for a first time grandparent doing the drop off. Thank God my 5 year old knew the drill. There is no staff greeting, that I experienced. The biggest issue is the parking situation. It's awful. You have classes getting out within minutes of the new classes starting. It is true chaos. For that reason alone, I personally would have never picked this dance studio. Could be the old lady in me don't know. But on the positive side, my grand daughter loves it here, loves her teachers and truly enjoys it. So in the end guess that's all that matters.

She really loved trying to master wedge mats ("like on TV!", she exclaimed), and her favorite part was trying to walk on "a moving balance beam" - described to us similar to a teeter totter. We hope to see SWAP at school again this year - it sounds like it was quite the hit.

He's been on American Ninja and has set up some of that kind of obstacle here. In fact, he recently created and hosted Buffalo's first Ninja Warrior contest. But he's not all parkour. His spirit is infectious - he improves your bod and your soul, whether you have the soul of a ninja or civilian.
