I have to say the ice is some of the best around, maybe because the people working their do a better job of using the zamboni or may the cooling system is better, not sure but this place is great for hockey. Outside the ice rink is the Eagle town pool and is ine very busy place in the summer. Great place to go and cool off. Around the ice rink I think is some of the best mountain biking in the state. Trails leading to miles and miles of riding in all directions. One of the trails called the Haymaker is where the State High School championships have been help for the last couple of years, The trailhead starts right from the parking lot of the ice rink. Mountain bikers can also hit the bmx track next door that is open all of the time to the public. Next to the bmx track their is a pump track that is also very cool and fun to warm up on before leaving to go on a mountain bike ride. I also have to say that the staff who run and take of the ice rink and the and the park around are some of the nices people you might want to ever meet. It's nice you meet people how care about their job and do such a great job. Maybe something that is harder too find nowadays.

There are a few areas that has covering where you can have a barbecue with tables and benches. This place also has a nice well equipped playground for children 4-10 years old. A favorite of our daughters. The fields are well maintained as well as the facilities and ample free parking, even during major events such as the Summerfest Balloon Bash. Surrounding the park there are walking and bike paths with a river nearby should you decide to try your luck at fishing. Whether, if you looking for a nice place to walk, bike, run, or have a picnic, Crown Mountain Park is always a good option.

I was only in town for 24 hours, I didn't have hiking boots or tevas. Plus it was overcast and windy. So this park gave us the opportunity to get outside, walk around. Plus I was the only one to make it to the top of the rock wall. Which says nothing about my athletic abilities, but says a lot about how athletically lame my companions were!

It is so good to see that Hanging Lake recovered on its own from the mudslides a few years ago…read more Nature is a magical thing. If you are able to take your time and take this hike a slower pace you should. We rushed up the incline, which doesn't feel like one on the legs but breathing sure was tough. We were trying to beat the storm rolling in. They told us at the gate that if a the storm rolled in we would hear a lot horn and everyone is required to evacuate so, whether you make it or not you have to leave. Since this is now a timed pass to hike this trail we didn't want to have to come back because of a storm. So, we rushed up and in the last 5 min it es you climb some questionable steps with a handrail but any one could slip through that rail system not just small children. If you get anxiety at heights this may not be for you. I don't love heights but I was able to do this one by just focusing on one foot I front of the other. It was unlike any Lake I have ever seen. The water is a beautiful aqua green which is naturally occurring. You won't regret it, so book that pass now!

Paragliding is possibly the coolest thing I have ever done! And I've done some pretty cool things…read more We are so glad we chose Adventure Paragliding in beautiful Glenwood Springs, CO. The online booking process was easy. We met at the appointed time and were driven to the top of ridge for launch. After a few minutes of instruction, we got strapped into our harnesses, then attached to our individual pilots. It all felt very safe and not at all frightening. My pilot, AJ, watched the windsock for the updraft. When it came, he gave the anticipated command and I started to run. The wind filled with air behind us and we began to move down the hill until we were, like magic, running in the air. It was exhilarating! The flight itself was peaceful, quiet, and downright comfortable. It lasted several minutes but I could have gone all day. The landing was smooth and completed on my butt with the harness protecting my behind. Lol. All in all it was an amazing experience and worth every dime!

Ashley Rogers did a fabulous job coordinating the event with balloons, table linens, beautiful flowers, music and much more. Owen Larson, PGA Professional, went above and beyond with score cards and a monitor at the party for live scoring and the awards ceremony. Jason was our bartender and he was amazing! And I wish I knew the name of the chef so I could thank him here. Everyone raved about the food as it was truly delicious. Molly helped make custom bag tags for all guests with a Red Sky Ranch logo and my husband's name and birthday on them. A special keepsake for all guests. And of course The Fazio Course at Red Sky Ranch is so beautiful. It is always a treat to play golf there and my husband's friends were "over the moon"! The clubhouse, patio flowers and SummerThyme Restaurant with indoor/outdoor dining viewing to the 18th hole is just magical. Thank you to all of the event coordinators - but most especially to Ashley - for making this a day we will never forget!!
