Some people spend too much time and psychic energy bonding with their golf balls and slow down play. You will definitely lose a few balls on this course so just expect it, live with it and keep moving. With the thick vegetation and the meandering creek these balls are gone forever so just let them go. II'd play here again anytime!

Lots of elevation changes. I rented clubs as well and they were very nice (Taylormade). Beer cart lady was on the course. She offered snacks, beers, soft drinks, and liquor. I wish I could play golf on courses like this all the time. I typically play up at Cape Royale on Lake Livingston. No comparison. If you get a chance, spend the money and play golf in Colorado during the summer. All the courses I passed on 71 in the many ski resort towns looked very nice.

Other private courses in the region do too, but are set back further so the decibel level is lower or insignificant. This location nevertheless is a must-play if you're anywhere near Vail.

We are recently in a very serious car accident and I'm unable to walk the course. My wife even has a handicap placard to show that she's unable to walk that far. I am very disappointed in the lack of consideration, considering the long drive that we were prepared to do and the fact that the reason we were gonna be 15 minutes late was because of a road closure for over an hour. Is this really how you treat your customers I will make sure that everyone I know, including every golf course, golf store, instructor, a travel person I know is aware of how you care about your customers. Pole Creek has three courses all surrounded by Rocky Mountain beauty so even if you're as terrible as I am, the natural surroundings will provide you with a sense of serenity so you don't drive your cart into a water hazard. Outside of the immaculate fairways and greens the staff is incredibly nice. On several occasions a marshal came by to either offer advice or help find a lost ball. (which there was a record number of) He even took a couple of pictures for us which was by far the best shot I was a part of in the round. They rent some really nice Titleist clubs for only about $30 and beers and food are pretty affordable compared to other courses I've ever played. Overall Pole Creek is worth the price of admission just based on the scenery alone. If you're actually a good golfer, I bet you'll love it too.

Also when I asked about if they had GPS on the golf carts or yardage books or any maps of the golf course(because we have never been there), her reply was no but they do have them at River Valley Ranch maybe you should go there. And oddly enough my golf cart died after 13 holes and I had to limp back to the pro shop and swap carts. I think that's kind of ironic considering that there was really nobody there but yet I had a dead golf cart. So even though I love the golf course, I think it's overpriced for the service and the lack of amenities. Maybe they'll get enough money to go private again and they'll all be happy.

So when the weekend took us to Granby, we decided to kick off the weekend at Granby Ranch. STAR #1 - While we chose to only play 9 holes, it is an 18 hole course. So go ahead a book what you're feeling! STAR #2 - The mountain views were wonderful! STAR #3 - The course was well maintained. STAR #4 - They do offer up a driving range to get a little warm-up in before you hit the course. Even better, the range was included in the greens fee. The only drawback was that it was a little on the pricey side at $120 for my husband and I for just 9 holes, While I'm not the strongest golfer, I still had a blast! We make our way up to Granby a few times a year, and I'll gladly make my way back to Granby Ranch when we do.
