However, I had an unfortunate interaction with an employee who just had an off day. When I received an email asking about my experience I shared in a kind manner. The owner responded with unkind emails of what I could've done differently when all I did was share my experience. He provided a refund I never requested, which was nice, but doesn't cover the cost of having insulted me.

We're always able to find something we've been searching for or something we didn't know we needed. On our last visit, I was able to find several used books at $1 each to add to the little library near our Airbnb (in addition to 2 books my son has wanted and 2 finds for myself). The staff have always been kind, helpful, and friendly. We don't always see the dogs, but I'm not worried about that, they just add more character to the space. If you like books, this is a place to pop by.

I went there after class and asked the cashier if she could hold a cap and gown for me because I…read moreleft my wallet at home, and she said she would. This was about 12:00 pm. When I got back around 1:30 I asked for the cap and gown that was held back the new cashier wasn't able to find it. So, I had to grab the last one on the shelf and redo my whole order. I then asked for the water bottle that I accidently left behind and the lady said she seen it but didn't know where it went so, she asked another coworker. The coworker went to a trash can and pulled my water bottle out of the trash can and handed it to me. She did not even have the curtesy to say I'm sorry. She just stated she threw it away. I wasn't even there longer than an hour. To top it off I was there for several minutes already waiting on someone to come to the front to finish my transaction. Overall poor quality of customer service.

I picked up Anne Patchett's latest and a new historical novel about Anne Boleyn. (Both 20% off.) I also bought a staff recommendation and David Sedaris' new book of essays. Honestly, this is a dangerous spot for me to shop BUT make sure you keep track of your loyalty points card!

No greeting, probably just because they shouldn't yell in a bookstore. I stopped by their in-store coffee place that serves Starbucks and the barista was really sweet. I like to get an iced water to walk around while I peruse the books. It was my husband's birthday and he had his eye on some new books. If you don't ask someone on staff, you might not be finding what you're looking for. I was interested in the Percy Jackson series, and it wasn't in the adventure or young adult area, it was actually tucked away literally in a corner of the children's area. The box set was more expensive than the Amazon price, so I asked if they did price matching, and they declined. It's a store policy to not do so with competitors, which I guess makes sense. So sadly we left empty-handed with an Amazon order on the way. It felt bad to so do because I do like Barnes and Noble but I'd rather pay a higher price at a local bookstore than at a large box store, but we didn't have time to stop elsewhere. I still have a quality impression of the store and the memories we've made, and it's always nice to increase my TBR list when I walk around the store. Makes for a fun date night.

I visit the edmond and I-240 lication in okc. They are so unfriendly to afro American I have been followed always like I'm being rushed. I have and our church spend thousands because theirs no competition. I recently along with larger churches and they have same complaints. For this to be a biblical store it's taking advantage of customers. To buy a Bible and pay for a name on it expensive because we're buying 30 at a time. Theirs no breaks for churches no tax exempted. On the website it states they have discounts but myself being brown skin came with my white friend which we share in our ministry was said no such things. I pray we can get every church aware and we can start a boycott to bring awareness to this issue. Another thing I noticed there's never a black face working here ever many say blacks only work in warehouses hobby lobby. And it's no secret the opportunity's in management is for white only. I pray God has it's way and bring mardell down. Lastly our church last month decided to shop at half price books for used holy bibles. We have no choice but realize sharing Jesus is worth it. Praying mardell hearts will change and if not pray we put them out business.
