So now we live here and have been coming here regularly winter, spring, summer and fall. They changed to a pizza and wing food rig since the brat truck. But now they have their own kitchen and truly by far the best food!! Way to go..... The street tacos are my fav but hubby had one of their burgers and my friend had the Ruben and they were all amazing. And as usual the beer, ginger ale and lemonade are awesome. The atmosphere is so family friendly and enjoyable during nice weather in their outside seating. Winter it's crowded but worth the visit. read more

Sadly, it looks like they have permanently closed. They had such amazing beer and the growlers were reasonably priced. The owners and staff were warm and pleasant. Service was great and the ambiance was perfection. Tucked away, it was an escape spent with friendly neighbors and locals. Loved the two epic trees in the courtyard that nature intertwined. Great little brewery and a hidden gem! Good selections of beers brewed onsite. Should be a beer for everyone's taste. They have a grill that looks like an attached food truck. Everything we have ordered is delicious. The Rueben has home smoked corned beef, and homemade sour kraut. Delicious rye bread. The Rueben salad is huge and includes everything the Rueben has with toasted rye croutons. It is our favorite after fishing stop. You can't order beer after 8 pm so get there early. Family friendly picnic area, live music stage and yard games. Highly recommend. read more

I'm here right now! What a fantastic brewery. We ordered pints and a flight. Every beer is extremely well crafted. I'm an IPA girl and enjoyed the IPA. Also loved the Saison and porter. The imperial IPA is super chocolate forward without being sweet (and dangerous at 9%!!!). There is a wood fire pizza place here that we're waiting on an order from. I've heard great things. You can get free pretzels at the bar. Love that! The atmosphere is top notch. Homey but nice, great outdoor area with a fun play spot for kids (tire swing and a slide!) Basically, it's like you're at a farm and there's beer and pizza. So... Heaven. read more

Tucked away, 2 1/2 miles up Grave Creek Road, in the northwest corner of northwest Montana you will find, in this most unlikely place, a jewel of a craft brewery called Homestead Ales and it quickly became one of my favorite breweries in the state. The tap room was much larger than I had expected and very inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful and on this particular evening one of the owners/brewers, Chris Neill, happened to be there and mingled with the crowd making sure everyone was happy and enjoying their beer selection. The beer selection. Currently, there are 5 on tap (see photo for stats): Blonde, Pale Ale, Brown, Stout, and, I'm happy to say, a Montana Brewers Association Gold Medal winning IPA. I'm not a fan of the bitter IPA's, but this one is even a winner with me. I would normally say that if you happen to be in the area stop in for a pint or two, but with HA) I'm going to say make a special trip. I took the chance and made the special trip of driving 50 miles to check this place out and I will make that special trip many more times in the future. read more

The little town of Eureka, Montana has a hidden gem in the craft beer world. Quaint, rustic outdoor brewery with an amazing food truck from local chef. We ordered a wood fired pizza that was so flavorful we wanted more. We drooled over ever dish that was delivered. Fresh produce, greens, etc makes one wish for more. The Irish Red was dark and full body, by far my favorite. The porter was Hubbies favorite which he decided to leave with a crawler for later. read more

Out on a country road, a couple miles...past a rolling river and country meadows bordered by aspen groves and majestic pines you will find homestead ales. We arrived to a pretty full parking lot, so we knew we were in for something special. We first ordered some brick oven pizzas and salads and sauntered over to the yard area to claim a picnic table. Local musicians were quietly serenading the crowd as kids ran around playing tag (great place for kids BTW). The beers are all finished well and they have a hearty selection. This is a gem hidden in the woods. You won't regret the short drive to get here. read more

Wow! We were out morel hunting with friends and they brought us to this brewery off the beaten path. So weird you travel down back roads in Montana and find hidden gems like this. The parking lot is large and the taproom is perfect. We sat outside and the weather was great. I had their lightest beer ( the name escapes me) we ate from the food truck. Pizza and a summer salad with bacon that was delicious! This is a great brewery that I can't wait to return to! read more

Cool place off the beaten path. Very much a homestead feel. Looks like a shack from the outside, but inside is very nicely done. Jazz standard on the speakers, French spoken as the first language behind the counter, very cool vibe. Enjoyed the Saison but was convinced to try Ingrid, the Belguim Trippel. I resisted because I'm typically not a fan of wine barrel aged beers. She insisted I try and I'm glad she did - I ordered a glass. My wife, who isn't a beer drinker, opted for the homemade lemonade. They also have a partnership with Eureka Jax (pretty sure same as the excellent Cafe Jax back in town) which had a food truck set up in the parking lot. read more

I've visited many breweries and many in Montana and this is my favorite! The vibe, the beers, and the food (there was pizza truck outside when I visited in summer '16) are all on point. The staff was very friendly as well. Would definitely try to repeat a visit here next time I'm in Montana. read more

Drove up from Kalispell to this place. Quaintly located in the country side of northern Montana. Dirt road and parking lot. There is a food trailer serving pizza outside the taproom. Also outside are picnic tables for casual seating. The service is wonderful, Patricia served us our beer (got a flight). The beer is better than average. We had a good time on a Sunday afternoon. read more

A gem in the middle of nowhere!! We are from California and are on a month long ski vacation in Whitefish. After reading the yelp reviews, we wanted to check this place out. All of the 5 star reviews are totally accurate. This place is amazing!!! To say that it is in the middle of nowhere is an understatement. It's at the end of a bumpy road in the middle of farmland. Very nice classy but rustic atmosphere, and friendly staff. Basic selection of ales, and all of them were top notch. The IPA and Pale Ale were excellent. I tried a sample of the Imperial Stout and it was also great. For rootbeer lovers, they also had a very unique root beer on tap that was very complex and flavorful. They do growlers, but no cans or bottles. I took a growler of IPA, but I'd definitely bring home some bottles if they were available. They have a pizza truck (or other food truck) outside for food and a rustic but nice outdoor seating area for when its warm. It is definitely worth the drive from Whitefish. Only downside for us was that they don't allow dogs, even outside. This will be a must-visit place next time we are back in the area! read more

This is one of the best craft breweries in NWMontana. They have one quite a few awards. Their Pioneer Pale Ale And Grave Creek IPA are excellent. My favorite is the Black Irish. Head Brewer Chris Neill is always crafting new beers for your enjoyment. They have a food truck outside on the property with Pizzas,Salads etc. One of the best places to take the whole family there is an outdoor play area for the kids. It is off Hiway 93 at Grave Creek Road around mile marker 169. South of Eureka. Fun atmosphere read more

Chris Neill and his crew have a passion for brewing, a vision for experimentation, using quality ingredients while maintaining an understanding of what great beer should be in it's finest form. I had a growler of the Graves Creek IPA a few days ago, even after an long trek over a few days, it was fantastic. Well. The beer is great. Pizza is wonderful. Maybe it was just the day... the heat.... but I got the wrong beer, and the pizza folks were quite upset that we canceled our wing order. Story is...there are two Belgiums on tap. You would think the owner would ask, which one? And the wings. They didn't come out with our order. We were told they were on the way. Nope. 30 mins later we check on them. They say they will be right out. 15 minutes later, still no wings. So we asked for them to just refund the order. So the woman in the truck says, stop making them! They don't want them. Ummmmm. You're just now making them? Boo. She was very rude. And tried to refund us at a lesser amount! Boo again. Beer is great. Pizza was to die for. Just hope next time is a better experience. Us local montanians need a good spot to hibernate. I would suggest they hire some additional staff....who work well with big crowds ;) read more

This is always one of my favourite places to visit every time we come to Montana. The staff are friendly with a dash of eclectic. Jax has a pizza truck there (they also have salads), so it has everything you need for a great night out. Since it started it has built up a loyal following and the place always seems to be packed. They make an awesome IPA (several) and the homemade ginger ale is great. For those that hate beer but would like a drink, ask them for their shandy (half beer, half ginger ale). My wife despises beer but likes this. Don't forget to take a growler of your favourite beer home with you. read more

I was in this past fall to visit my Sister from Maryland. She took us there and all I can say is I wish I lived there. Not only was I in disbelief that a great place like this was in the middle of nowhere, but outstanding service, beer and Lord the food.
