Even more concerning, Bussie Contracting Services is an illegally operating business that is NOT licensed as a residential contractor in the State of Georgia, which is a clear violation of O.C.G.A. § 43-41-2 and § 43-41-17, which require a valid PLB-issued license for residential projects exceeding $2,500. My project was well over that amount. As a result, I am currently preparing to file a formal complaint with the Georgia Professional Licensing Board, which has the authority to: * Investigate and take legal action against unlicensed contractors, * Impose civil penalties up to $5,000 per violation, and * Shut down unlicensed construction businesses and prohibit them from operating in Georgia. If you're considering hiring this company, verify their licensing status carefully. I strongly advise others not to make the same mistake I did.

Two informed me that "no" I could not have a drywall ceiling, that I was stuck with a drop ceiling; "no" we can not put a pocket door in this wall; "no" we can't remove a wall. And then there was Mike! I knew from our first telephone conversation that he was the one! I was right! I have a beautiful tray ceiling of drywall, I have a perfect pocket door and there is no more divider wall. Mike spent 1 1/2 hours with me in my basement during the bid process. He is one of the nicest men I have met. He is kind and thoughtful. He listens and then translates builder language into words that I could understand. Mike was so thorough! He noticed a wall that had been built incorrectly and suggested he rebuild it correctly. This will allow me to mount a TV on that wall! He took the time to remove several of the existing drop ceiling tiles and really looked to see what was happening above the tiles and said "yes" we can do a drywall ceiling. Mike suggested other little things like where I planned to mount the TV and he installed the outlet high on the wall to avoid the TV cord being seen. He suggested moving a wall out into the room 20 inches so that the future bathroom would be bigger. I never realized how small that bathroom would be, but Mike did, and his idea was perfect. There were also so many extras that Mike just took care of for me that saved me time and money. I really appreciate his kindness! I am blown away by my new basement. It used to be dark and dreary, and I never used that room. Now it is my favorite room in the house. Bussie started the day they said they would start and finished one day earlier than expected and even came in UNDER the original budget. You will not meet a nicer man and he will do what he says he will do and even go the extra mile to make the customer happy! I can't wait to have Bussie Contracting back to my house for a porch rebuild, kitchen and bathroom remodel as soon as possible!

The person they sent out stayed over 12 hours when I was told the work would take 3-4- the majority of which he struggled with the pocket door. The shelves and front door frame are perfect but the pocket door literally fell off the top hinges and scraped the inside of the door compartment anytime it was used. When I contacted the manager of this company, he apologized and agreed to send somebody out to fix the door. Well, he sent somebody but didn't notify me that he was so I wasn't home when the handyman arrived. Despite repeated attempts to reach them and set up another time for them to come out and fix what should've been fixed the first time, I have gotten no reply for weeks. I wish I'd spent the extra $200 to hire somebody else originally. Sometimes you get what you pay for, so if you're looking for half-assed work and shitty communication these are the people for you. In response to the owner: your company had so many opportunities to do the right thing. It shouldn't take me seeking out a new method of communicating with you to get the work done. I didn't want a refund- what I wanted was for it to be fixed. The dishonesty and gaslighting is obscene

Originally got a fast reply via phone, set up an appointment, and had someone come out and take a look at the basement. He was friendly and seemed to be interested and capable. He said he would go back and work out a floor plan and pricing estimates for what we had discussed. He did let me know that they were behind on some projects, and we discussed that it was not an immediate need, but he said he would get back to me in about 2 weeks. 3 weeks passed and I reached back out. The person I called said he could see that it was being worked out and to just give it some more time. It's now been 7 months, and have given up believing I might eventually get a quote.

That crew worked extremely hard in record heat from 9 to 6 every day. They worked fast - not sloppy fast, but efficient fast; like they have done this a thousand times before. And they left the job site clean and orderly every day. Our agreement was that IW would build the structure and I would procure the door and windows, which they would install. We had to wait a few weeks for the windows, but IW came back and finished the job as soon as the windows were available. We got quotes from several builders, and IW's price was in the middle, but they gave me the most confidence that they could actually do the job. And I liked that they did not ask for any money upfront, but rather pay 25% at 4 agreed-upon stages of progress. We had a good idea of what we wanted, and provided IW with some sketches and approximate dimensions, and they did the rest. When there were design choices to be made, they laid out the options and let us decide. They did NOT nickel and dime us with lots of billable change orders. Our project was slow to get started due to a snafu getting the building permit (which IW handled completely ) but once they got started, they made amazingly fast progress. I heartily recommend Innovative Woodworks - these guys are pros!

The workman was prompt and very pleasant. He worked diligently all day and when he was done he cleaned up and left the place looking better than when he got there. I couldn't be happier with the result! Now I can get the porch ready for company and no longer have to worry about how long it will take to get a painter to do the work. I would definitely recommend them.
