I contacted a handful of companies to do flooring for my condo. Everyone came over and gave me quotes all over the place and told me I needed other work done too. After contacting FixerMaster and talking to Jonathan - he was super honest with what needed to be fixed and what didn't. Then while doing the work Jonathan has been one of the best people I have EVER worked with. Even after the job was done and I wanted a couple alterations he came back and wouldn't take my money. Don't hire them. This has been easily the worst experience I've had hiring a handyman service. I hired them to install shelves, fix the frame of my front door, and replace a sliding pocket door. I was quoted about $200 less than other services, so I figured I was getting a great deal. The person they sent out stayed over 12 hours when I was told the work would take 3-4- the majority of which he struggled with the pocket door. The shelves and front door frame are perfect but the pocket door literally fell off the top hinges and scraped the inside of the door compartment anytime it was used. When I contacted the manager of this company, he apologized and agreed to send somebody out to fix the door. Well, he sent somebody but didn't notify me that he was so I wasn't home when the handyman arrived. Despite repeated attempts to reach them and set up another time for them to come out and fix what should've been fixed the first time, I have gotten no reply for weeks. I wish I'd spent the extra $200 to hire somebody else originally. Sometimes you get what you pay for, so if you're looking for half-assed work and shitty communication these are the people for you. In response to the owner: your company had so many opportunities to do the right thing. It shouldn't take me seeking out a new method of communicating with you to get the work done. Had a great experience with Jonathan on an extensive rehab/renovation. His team consistently went above and beyond to do things right even through some difficult challenges with the property. They are fast to respond to initial inquiries, which is why I used them, but they are not very professional. I had them install two new doors at my rental property along with some other odds and ends. I gave them the contractor code to the keyless entry door, and they were supposed to lock it when they left, but they left the door open! Luckily nothing was stolen. I gave them another chance and had them take a look at the place's water heater that had not been supplying enough hot water for my tenant. They recommended I change out the heating elements so I let them for about $300 even though the price was excessive. I just needed the work done quickly so I paid that. My elderly tenant later told me that the technician that was sent out was not a direct company employee and let her know that the repair was a temporary fix, but it slipped her mind to mention it to me. The company never told me anything like that when I booked them. I now know after my own research that a 10 year old water heater should be replaced and not repaired. I think this amounts to a kind of malpractice. Less than four months after the $300 repair, the water heater stopped working again. I called a new company to take a look, and they recommended replacing the unit right away. If you use this company, do your own homework and research about the needed service, and watch them like a hawk! read more

I'd like to thank Jonathan and his team for doing a good job with all the minor tasks I needed completed in my home. Jonathan responded within a day of my initial request and had someone at my place two days later to determine what needed to be done, a quote was given a couple days later and one guy came out on a Saturday and completed 5 different tasks I needed done, including re-screening some of my porch, hanging some long shades on said porch and picking up a new storm door from Home Depot and installing it on my back entrance. He did all this, by the way, with a bandaged finger, which I am sure must have slowed him down some. :) I would definitely use them again. read more

Would not quote on the spot after coming into my home and reviewing the job! Said a quote would be texted to me. 5 hours later I got a text saying my job was too small to meet their minimum price. I sent 3 texts to name their price, (first time I have had to beg for a quote) and yes their min price was extortionate for such a small job as putting up a shelf mirror. I told them I am unimpressed with their customer service and received back two very argumentative, long, texts about how great they are and that my complaint was unfounded. Next year my larger sunroom attachment job will NOT be given to these people! read more

Handyman Services done correctly. After contacting 5 different companies I can say without a doubt that Fixer master stands behind their work. This was the only company that gave me a quote and did follow up. Fred the handyman is very experienced in all. The job was done in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. I will definitely be utilizing them again. Don't waste your time with the others give fixer master a chance and you won't be disappointed. read more
