This was the second time I have used Edwy and his team. First time I took four bids before deciding to go with H&E .. This time just texted Edwy for price. As with the previous time reached out to Edwy quickly responded, came in, provided estimate, settled on a date for the work and he showed flexibility as I wanted to ensure it would not impact our WFH situation. Team of four showed up on time at 8 am, did an excellent job, cleaned up everything as they were doing the work and afterwards and were done by 3 pm in the afternoon. It could not have gone any smoother. Job itself was thinning and trimming 5 large overgrown pine trees that wee last trimmed in 2018 , I asked to trim them pretty much to little green in the end of each branch and they did, cutting and removing a large tree that had died along with removal of some smaller branches and shrubs shooting up from the ground. Last time I recommended Edwy to one of my neighbors and they too were happy with the work. H&E is truly a 5 star company. The best way to contact H&E is to go through Yelp by "Requesting a Quote"; otherwise, a voicemail may not work because these guys are very busy. But that doesn't mean they won't do your job right away. Edwy, the son of Hector the owner (that's why it's H&E), showed up same day as the email and is a good guy to work with - he's nice and reasonable. I let him know that I had a quote from another company for a tree to be removed from my property and the work was going to be done in a few days. Edwy not only beat the price but his crew showed up the next day! My tree was gone in 45 minutes! The tree was a Jacaranda that was two stories high - about 30 feet tall, a medium sized tree, 15 yrs old. It had to go because it was breaking up the sidewalk and my driveway (besides being a very messy tree, always dumping leaves and twigs on my driveway and cars). His company removed the stumps very quickly and did not disturb a lemon tree that was very sentimental to me. As good as it gets? No, better! These guys are phenomenal. I called them to get a quote on the complete removal of a monster tree in my back yard and they were there the next day. Now I'm not very versed in what constitutes a "tough" job in this field, but my tree was fully overgrown into power lines, hanging over my neighbors yard and over my back patio not to mention it was a good 50 feet high. Not only did I get a quote that was at least HALF what other "professionals" were trying to charge me, but they also knocked another chunk off for a Veteran's discount. I'm sorry but that's classy and well appreciated. We arranged an open-ended time for the following week, they called me within 2 days and said they could be out there ASAP, the only request was they could park their equipment in my driveway. They showed up early, got right to work and busted tail all day long, cleaning up as they went and exited out so quickly I didn't even notice they were gone until it was perfectly quiet. They had to return the next day to finish given the magnitude of the job, but were done by 4pm, the yard and driveway were cleaned up and they even removed a second smaller stump on the other side of the yard as part of the deal. During the entire process Edwy kept in contact with me via text and even followed up with me later to ensure I was happy. Happy? No sir, I am ELATED with the quality of service I received. I can't imagine it being any better. They also told me that they do landscaping so in a few months when we're ready to go that route you can bet I'l be calling H & E back. The guys did a great job trimming 7 large pine trees, some over 100 feet tall. They got everything done in about two days, including Saturday which I appreciated. The price was reasonable considering there were 5-8 guys on the job and the trees hadn't been touched in over 8 years so there were a ton of branches and debris which they hauled out. After searching on Yelp for a good tree service to trim my palm trees, I came across this one. I sent a request through yelp and was contacted within 10 minutes and spoke on the phone within the hour. Edwy quoted me a great price and said his brother would be at our house the following morning about 10am. Right before 10 Enrique pulled up. Very kind and polite. He and the gentleman with him had the two trees trimmed and cleaned up within about 30 minutes. They took the time to move some of my yard pottery and planters. He even swept out the pool. I even received a follow up call to see if i was happy with the job. I was incredible impressed and happy with the results and will call again when they need trimming in the future. I had actually called another tree service, we used before, in early August and was quoted a higher price and they'd come when they had time. After waiting a few more weeks, I called again and said I needed them trimmed for my daughter's birthday party and I needed them to come the next week. I was told they would. I had two very tall palm trees that needed to be trimmed, and I called H&E first because of their great ratings. The quote they gave me was higher than what I'd hoped, but then I called seven other companies and H&E's quote was still the lowest! I also appreciated that H&E said from the beginning they would match any lower quote if I found one (which I didn't.) Edwy came out to look at my trees and he was great. Not pushy, easy to talk to, answered all my questions. Because his rates were so reasonable, I ended up having H&E trim five trees on my property. They did the work quickly and left my yard better than they found it! I was expecting to see leftover branches and leaves everywhere, but my yard looked great. Also, it REALLY mattered to me that my trees not be hacked to pieces - I had explained to Edwy that I really wanted to keep the shade and shape of my trees and they did exactly what I asked them to do. The trees are still pleasant to look at, with shade intact, but thinned out really evenly. We just got our first home in Arcadia, and it was a jungle in the front and backyard, with a ton of overgrowth and a giant ficus. Edwy came out and was very professional and friendly. I can't recommend Edwy and H&E Tree Service enough. They saved my house! After the hazardous winds we recently dealt with, the tree above my house lost some major branches, one of which scrapped the side of my house and took out my rain gutter. The roots at the base of the massive tree were even coming up. That next morning I called H&E and within 2 hours he was at my house and rearranged his schedule to start cutting down the tree immediately before the winds came back that evening. We just moved into a house where the previous owner didn't routinely trim their trees. With all the overgrown trees (5 of them were really tall eucalyptus trees), we were worried about the cost it would take to trim them. I must say that after comparing a few companies, H&E came in with a competitive quote and earned our business. Edwy was professional, showed up to all appointments early. He always wore a mask, and informed me that his crew has been fully vaccinated. It wasn't until I removed my mask that he asked to remove his. He focused on the big stuff and did not try to nickle and dime us for every little tree we added to the project. We even made a few changes that I thought would cause the quote to go up, but Edwy was still cool with the original quote. His workers were equally professional. They know how to tie up the tree branches so when they drop, nothing lands on the wrong place to cause damages. They were efficient and cleaned everything up nicely.
