Sadot and his crew of four were wonderful. His estimate to trim/thin a 40 ft Chinese Elm, Bougainville tree, and remove one tree that was growing wild and close to the corner retaining wall was the most reasonable out of the four estimates I received. The crew arrived before 8am on a Tuesday and work promptly started at 8am and finished before noon. After the work started, I decided to ask him to also thin my Japanese ornamental tree and one other tree out front. He only added a small amount to the original estimate and did the work mostly himself since his crew was busy out back. The elm was trimmed and thinned beautifully. Same with the other trees. Clippings were cleaned up both in the yard and out on the street. Marbella works in the office and responded promptly to all my inquiries and requests for proof of insurance. They did show up on time. I had told Sadot what I needed done when he came to give me an estimate. After they said they were finished, I went out to inspect and found a lot of debris they hadn't picked up. There was one area that still had weeds. I asked him about that. There was animal scat on it, and he asked if I had pets. I do not have pets, but there is a lot of wild life in the area. He said, "We don't do that." If they don't do that, they should not take jobs where there is a lot of wild life. If I hadn't asked, he would not have mentioned it. I picked it up myself. I emailed Sadot, & he said they would come back. I pointed out the sections where they hadn't pulled the weeds & left a lot of debris still on the ground. He left one worker to do the cleanup. I specifically pointed out what else had to be done, & they didn't do it. They also moved and knocked over a lot of my garden decorations, used my ladder & bins & did not put them back where they belonged. When I went out to do some light pruning, there was still a lot of debris. I picked up 4 bins of it myself. There's still a lot left. I am 84 years old & can no longer do some of the things I used to do. That's why I hired someone to do it! I paid them for a job poorly done because they did take away a lot of stuff, At this point I give up & will have to find someone else. In the 35 years I have lived in this house, I have never had such poor service for yard cleanup. I'm happy for those who were able to give him such good reviews. I am not one of them. read more
