Approximately 3 hours later I received a call telling me that the windshield was replaced but they couldn't get the recalibration to complete. When I asked for details I was told that it is not unusual to have problems with Subarus and OEM windshields. The consolation prize was that they would replace with a Subaru windshield for the same price. The quoted price was not contingent on their ability to recalibrate an OEM windshield so there shouldn't have even been a question about the price. I was given another appointment for 7/9 to replace the windshield AGAIN. Three hours later I get a call that once again the recalibration failed. They recommend I take it to the dealer. Consolation prize: I won't be charged for the recalibration - the recalibration they couldn't complete. Car tied up for two days, my time wasted dropping it off and picking it up and bottom line is that the windshield was replaced and I need to spend even more time now taking it to the dealer. It appears that Subaru windshields can be problematic so I'm not sure why there isn't more respect for the customers and being up front about that in the beginning. If I was told that I would have gone directly to the dealer. Instead, I thought this would be faster and easier. Wrong. No compensation at all. Will never use this company again and I will also spread the word. 8/4/2026 update: Took my 2019 Subaru Legacy to the dealer as recommended. They called to say they couldn't get the recalibration to work - the camera isn't working. They suggested I call Safelite since the camera was working before I brought it to Safelite. Couldn't get directly through to the Dickson City location. Spoke with Denischia who put me on hold multiple times to speak with someone at the branch. First, she told me that whoever she spoke to at the branch told her the prescan performed showed that the camera wasn't working. I was NEVER told anything about the camera not working before the windshield was replaced. I was told and signed papers on both 7/2 and 7/9 acknowledging that the camera wasn't working until the recalibration was complete. Details of what I was told are in my original post. I asked for proof of the prescan not working and was eventually told the branch wasn't answering her latest attempt to contact them and she would send a request over that they send them me a record of the prescan results. I am confident I will never hear from them again since the camera WAS working when I initially brought it to Safelist on 7/2/2026. They are not being honest with me. Beware.

Was contacted by Jennifer from Auto Glass Fitters to "schedule a windshield replacement". When I…read morespoke with her, I shred that I would like the earliest appointment available. She told me, "we have you scheduled between 8:30am and 9:30am". I placed that statement in quotes because I take notes whenever I am conducting business over the phone to ensure nothing is lost in translation. I planned my work day based on this information. Day of install: 9:35am rolls around and I have not received a call and no one has shown up at my house to replace my windshield. I contact AGF and shared what I was told yesterday and that I was calling to simply follow up. A supremely unprofessional, rude guy (Jennifer would not give me his name) proceeds to tell me that his boss has worked there for 20 years and he is sure she did not tell me that and proceeds to place me on hold abruptly. I'm appalled at how this guy randomly goes off on a customer who was simply attempting to confirm the appointment and ascertain when I should expect the vendor to arrive. Jennifer then picks up the line. I asked her for the guys name with whom I recently spoke. She glosses over that request and asks me whats going on. I share with her what I told him and she began to tell me that why I heard was wrong. I shared with her that I wrote every word down.....at this point I was over it and I told Jennifer to cancel my appointment. State Farm recommended this vendor and I am going to notify them of my abysmal experience. I will also place a review wherever possible about this business because they are truly horrible and do not deserve a penny from paying customers.

He advised my car had no aftermarket glass available, but was able to get it ordered from the dealership and have it Tuesday. I dropped it off Tuesday afternoon and it was completed for me the next morning. He throughly cleaned the car (not a speck of glass anywhere). No scratches on the door panel, plastic, or exterior weatherstripping. It truly was a first class experience. Safelite online quote was about $200 more for the repair. I'm not sure what other local companies would have charged since I wasn't able to reach them, but I have zero regrets with my transaction and felt the price was reasonable. When it comes to service based transactions, I seek the best value/quality/service, not always the rock bottom price. This guy was good.
