My truck broke down going over Monarch Pass while hauling my travel trailer. I had road side assistance but they couldn't find anyone to come help me out. Luckily, a CDOT employee drove by and stopped to check on me. He recommended I use H & H Towing out of Gunnison. I gave the fellas at H & H a call and they immediately got the ball rolling and came out to tow my truck and pick up my trailer. They let me camp on their property for the night and allowed me to leave my trailer on their property until my truck is ready, free of charge. I couldn't have asked for better service. They were friendly, gave me great recommendations, and were also willing to work with me to get things straitened out with my road side assistance reimbursement. I grew up in a small town and people looked out for each other, H & H Towing has that same mentality. Zak arrived at Taylor Park Marina where my car wouldn't rev over 1800rpm. No way I was driving back hone near Denver. It was late Friday afternoon when we arrived in Gunnison and the repair shops were closed until Monday morning. Zak called a repair shop manager he knew, even though his shop was closed until Monday. The short of it is, the shop had a mechanic look at my car late Saturday morning, after the Cattlemen's Days Parade, and he found I had a blown ETCS fuse. He replaced it and I was able to drive home Saturday. Phew! AND on Friday after we dropped my car at the shop, Zak checked local hotels for me while I got what I needed from my car. My rental car broke down on the side of the road outside of town and they sent out someone to get me very quickly. They then came and got me an hour an half before they usually start work the next morning and took me and the rental car all the way back to Denver so that I wouldn't be late for my flight. I accidentally left my jacket in the tow truck and Zak boxed that up and shipped it to me. Great people, everyone was nice even when I forgot my jacket and created another problem. My truck died and wouldn't start. The fuel gauge said I still had 38 miles until empty. I called H&H and they came and hauled me back to town. I explained the problem to the driver on the way to the shop. He was able to get my injection system primed and my truck started in the street in front of the shop. Saved me waiting a week for the shop to get it in and who knows how much money. I believe that this was WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND the simple tow I requested paid for! Hit some black ice on a bridge about twenty minutes outside of gunnison and wrecked my car. I was alone, in a town I didn't know, without a car on a Saturday. Thankfully Zak was there to save the day. He let me hitch a ride with him back to my car, gave me advice on what steps I needed to take next to get it fixed up and then drove me in his own truck to the rental car place. My daughter had a flat tire 200 miles from home and needed assistance. Geico recommend H&H Towing and we're so happy they did. Two thumbs up! The air brake line in our RV was run to close to the turbo charger which melted a hole in it as we were going over Monarch Pass. Luckily we still had some brakes and we got down the pass safely using the engine brake. I stopped by H&H and talked to Zak. This company is great. Not only did they come an hour drive to help me out when I hit a deer but also offered to pick me up where I was able to get to a phone. Then they explained the insurance process to me, dropped my car off at a body shop and gave me a ride home. Customer service at its best. They, very understandably & reluctantly (closed Sunday), agreed to put a matching steer on the right side when we got back to his shop! These dudes are good! My boyfriend and I had our jeep break down in the middle of nowhere. We managed to get a ride into town with a nearby rancher to H&H.
