Edit: Phil called in response to my review. See the attached invoice. I had already replaced the camshaft position sensor (a ten minute job), which was new. This did not resolve the code, which indicated the connection was intermittent. I had tested the connector with a multimeter, which indicated there was a bad connection at the connector. This was communicated to the service manager when I dropped off the vehicle. The technician stated that there was a broken tab on the camshaft position sensor, and they replaced the brand new part I had just installed. See the attached photo. That the tab could be broken without being filed off is highly suspect. It's a durable part. That the relatively fragile connector was damaged is more credible. In my opinion, as stated to the service manager, it was obviously the part that needed to be replaced. They replaced the connector, which again, I had communicated was the likely issue. They claim to have paid $110 for this part that I can purchase at Napa for $26. So in summary, I paid $685 to have them swap out a $26 connector. I can only conclude they're either dishonest or incompetent. Edit 2: Well Phil, now you're just outright lying. You did not show me the new camshaft position sensor you removed and replaced. Your technician did not perform any diagnostics, and ignored the diagnostic information I provided to you in advance. He just started swapping parts, AND overcharging for the time spent. Even if the sensor needed to be replaced, a $40 part that takes ten minutes to install, to charge me $685 is absurd.

Brought a vehicle in for a simple repair that I needed done quickly and didn't have time to do myself. They took forever to get to it and destroyed more components in the process! I called for a warranty of the parts that failed in under a week and was treated as if I was a lying toddler and knew nothing about the vehicle. After bringing it down (via specific time appointment) for them to inspect the faulty part and the damage THEY incurred, they let the vehicle set for over a day before even inspecting. Upon finally inspecting the vehicle they call to tell me all the damage was MY fault and existed prior to their work on it. On top of it all, the rate I was quoted at for them to fix the issues they created was just plain thievery. Claiming to split the labor cost of the repair (which I had to do myself in the end and took me but an hour!) at $175!! That means these guys are charging ~$350 an hour to break your vehicle and install faulty components! When you bring a straight and dry vehicle in for a simple part replacement and receive it back with grease spewing out of the axles and oil puking out of the seal (which can only be damaged upon installation of said replacement part) it screams incompetent mechanics. And when the poor work is followed up with dismal customer service and refusing responsibility for their mistakes its makes for a headache inducing, and expensive nightmare. Even if your vehicle is busted and you're in a rush, avoid this shop. You're better off walking, it's a lot cheaper.

As we left the RV park in Colona and proceeded north through Montrose, we started to experience issues with the gears on my motorhome. We were at Townsend and 9th when the gears skipped to 3rd and we knew we were in trouble. The first transmission business we called didn't work on motor homes but they referred us to AATCO. We called and explained our situation to Missy. Missy got Lance on the phone and while he didn't guarantee he could solve the problem, he asked us to drive over so he could scan the device on our motorhome and look at our transmission to diagnose the problem(s). Lance truly saved the day! He found that a bolt had come loose and we had lost all of our transmission fluid. While some businesses might have put us off for a day or two or three, Lance and his crew got to work on our motorhome. They replaced the transmission fluid with several quarts, secured the bolt and had us drive around to make sure the problem was resolved. Sure as shootin ... Lance and his crew at AATCO resolved our issues in probably less than two hours and were able to send us on our way. Today is Wed., Oct. 8th, 2025 and even though this issue set us back a few hours, Lance made sure we'd make it to my granddaughter's wedding on Saturday. We initially thought the worse. We thought we'd be stuck in Montrose for another day or two and we thought we'd face a hefty bill for the repair. But AATCO's fee was incredibly reasonable and fair! I cannot say enough about Lance, Missy and the rest of the guys at AATCO except "thank you! thank you! thank you! for getting us on our way and for taking care of our transmission on the fly!!!!" I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AATCO if you happen to have any vehicle issues!!!

Despite performing the TSB recommended service (change the transmission fluid) for the exact problem I described, they insisted that I needed a new transmission for over $6,000, and it had to be a new one from GM, not remanufactured. When I asked them to perform the TSB fluid change instead (prob $200-$300 at the dealer), they never called back. II got a recommendation to try AATCO. I explained the problem, asked for the TSB recommended fluid change, and they immediately did the fluid change. They were perfectly happy doing the lower cost recommended service (~$150), reported that the old fluid didn't suggest a significant mechanical breakdown, and put in the new fluid saying, "Let's give it a try, and we'll look to more significant repairs if it doesn't work". After 3 hours on the road, the problem was rectified, and it ha been great since. The owner(s) and staff showed that they want to please the customer, offer the best value, maintain a long relationship. The dealer and the chain stores are transactional and staff rolls so often that the customer connection is not required.
