We purchased a sweater last year and the tag was still on after we left. Really did not think about until a year later. We can't find the receipt anymore, but we had the credit card statement confirming purchased. Despite multiple attempts, they refused to look at the invoice to confirm the purchase. I have shopped here before, but had some wonderful customer service today! A lot of the clothing is inexpensive, though it is not always the most durable. It is definitely a good place to go if you are looking for the "in" thing, and do not want to make it a big investment. We grabbed a few dresses for my daughter. The cashier was lovely! He was super friendly, and very engaging. He told me about their free rewards program, and hooked me up with an immediate discount as a result. The Walden Galleria is a huge regional mall. I don't understand why the large store here doesn't carry plus-size women's clothing when the Boulevard Mall location does. C'mon H&M! I want to give you my money in exchange for your plus-size clothes! I also find the staff at this store to be on the snotty end of customer service. I don't get it. The merchandise here is relatively cheap, yet it's almost like they treat every customer like a criminal. WTF?! There are stores with high end merchandise in this mall, with friendly staff. My husband and I went to look for something for him. The Men's section is very small and has a small variation of clothing. It's mostly Yeezy (Kanye West) style clothing. Not all guys like that look. We wish there was a larger section in the store for men and that there was a better selection as well. Also, a lot of the men's clothing is expensive. The one thing he found that he liked was a zip up jacket for $59.99. No one greeted us while we were in the store. We didn't check out the woman's section, so I'm leaving my review at 3 stars for now. read more

Realistically I would give them 3.5 stars, deducting a half star for their low level of goods from countries with labor laws and deducting a whole star for the below mentioned meh/negatives. The Chain as a whole - This used to be one of my favorite chain clothing stores. They had a strongly unique look, simple but tailored with equal nods to high- & street-fashion. In the last few years they've definitely started to bow more to fashion trends, thus their product is more homogenized than previously with other similar 20-something retailers, but they still often maintain unique color palettes and flourishes that set them apart. This is definitely one of the few "mall stores" I get excited to browse, even though I rarely come out with more than a few (generally on sale) items. Their prices have went up a bit (as mentioned above, despite a lot of their goods being from non-labor law countries) though overall they are on par with similar stores - that bracket somewhere above places like Forever 21 but below places like Anthropologie. I get a place like Rainbow, with tops regularly at $5, getting goods from Indonesia but a place that charges what H&M does could definitely pass more work to places that protect their laborers. Yah, I'm having a high horse moment. Sorry. Moving on. On the positive, I still really enjoy their accessories. They have great low cost hair clips, sunglasses and the occasional giant gaudy ring - things I don't come across often at the thrift store. Some of their tights are as cheap as $5, most are decent durability and are made in "first-world" countries (I did it again!). The overall vibe of the store is fun but chic and I enjoy the kitschy use of funky mannequins and other touches. They give a strong nod to vintage looks that may not be done to death in other stores while still employing a lot of modern, bold touches. You could have any number of looks from preppy to punk, goth to glamazon and still find things you wanted in here. This location - not very large and they have basically nothing that will fit over a size 8, except a few stretchy items. Their website has a big plus section, but it is nowhere to be seen in-house, and frankly when did a size 10 become a plus size? I can't believe the teen/young adult market hasn't picked up on the fact that lots of younger folks are not super skinny. This place can also be a serious mess and never has enough cashiers open during peak hours - hire more staff, H&M. At $90 for a coat, you can afford it. On the meh, this location tends to hire young hip staff and, like most places, that produces a non-consistent customer service experience. On one hand you get some really cool, friendly people with drool-worthy looks that are a real pleasure to chat with. On the other hand you get some stuck up I'm-cooler-than-you types with a chip on their shoulder about helping you who won't so much as smile back at you across the counter. I know a lot of people on this site seem unphased by hipster behavior, be it in food-service or retail, but it annoys the poo out of me. You can be artsy, have crazy hair, tattoos, whatever, and not act like a jack a** - I seem to manage just fine having manners, being friendly, etc whilst in public, even with my hair green. read more

This is a great store for basic tees and fun tops. When they were newer, the selection was more interesting. Now today it seems as if they are a more affordable version of the Gap. I say that because the clothes are getting more basic and bland opposed to what I'm used to. All-in-all, this store is very fair with their prices and even has some cool last minute grab accessories when waiting in line at the counter. Another noteworthy mention is that they usually have some great panty deals ladies!! read more

Horrible Customer Service !!! And that is being nice about it. I bought a coat 3 days ago for my son For Xmas. I saw that the price went down 50%. I brought in my receipt to the register and asked for a price adjustment. I spoke with Katie who told me that they don't do price adjustments. I explained that it was a gift that was wrapped and under the tree. She told me that I could go get it and bring it in , return it, and re-purchase it at the lower price. I said "you would rather inconvenience me, your customer,knowing that it is wrapped under a tree, than give me the adjustment" the answer is YES !! Horrible !! I asked to speak with the store manager, she stated that she was a manager. I asked for the store manager. Katie refused to give me her number or to get her on the phone. I was also refused the district, and regionals number. She did give me the corporate customer service number finally. Terrible Manager !! Terrible Customer Service !! I will never EVER shop at Galleria H&M again. read more
