I know this because this is my husband's toy store and I hear so many stories about Adam Schroder or Adam Slavinski or Adam the big cheese manager. I can't keep them all apart. All I know is one of them just shaved his beard and my husband is distraught. I'm pretty sure my husband is thinking about changing his name to Adam. Before my husband ever started fly fishing, I used to go here with my daughter clothes shopping. They have some really great brands - made in America - excellent customer service. When my husband put down his guitar and picked up his fly rod (only one expensive hobby at a time, please), this became the go-to place for all the things. Fly rods. Reels. Bags. Shirts. Pants. You get the drift. This is where my husband was introduced to and fell in love with Kuhl pants. He also really loves the Orvis-branded hats and shirts and jackets. This year he even has some things on his wish list for the dog. They've got a great selection of dog beds and toys in wonderful quality. And as I said, made in America, which is very important to our family. And then there are the Adams. They are really knowledgeable about the area fishing spots and my husband knows he can rely on them for current information. He just got home from Orvis, as a matter of fact, where one of the Adams told him Oatka and the Niagara River are looking pretty good right now. Tip: They teach free fly tying and fly fishing classes as well. If you're at all interested in learning how to fly fish, this is hands-down the best place in the area to learn. Ask for Adam.

We borrowed poles and were able to head outside to learn how to Fly Fish. We even got to attempt (and I got one!) using Velcro flies and Velcro fish out on the lawn. It was super silly and fun. The store is neat, clean, and organized. You can get clothing, Shoes, Pet Supplies, and all imaginable gear (and there's a TON) for this sport. Prices range from $100 - $1,500 depending on the level of deep dive you plan to make into the world of Fly Fishing. We are signed up for Fly Fishing 201 in a week and I will report back!

I'm old enough to remember when Burlington was a "coat factory." This was the store to visit when…read moreone needed a warm winter coat, a stylish spring jacket, or a formal trench. But this store is not that (anymore). Burlington still has some nice outerwear, but they're a whole lot more than coats! I should get this out of the way early -- Burlington offers a five-star shopping experience unless you need a dressing room, in which case, a solid four point five stars. They have dressing rooms, but they aren't always open. I think it began during Covid, and my guess is, it's been hard to find good help and when you've got to work with a less-than-full staff, that's kind of the obvious place to cut. Anyway, I don't really know when the dressing rooms are open and when they're not, but they were not open a couple of days ago when I took my mom in to do a little shopping. Fortunately for us, there's no reason to test out their return policy. Burlington really is one of my favorite stops for clothing. They've got a really nice selection of clothes for ladies, men, juniors, and kids. I love their brands and the prices are super-affordable. There have been a few times I found clothes on the hanger that should have been in a bin to send back to the manufacturer - a rip here or a stain there. But most of the time, the clothes are exactly as they should be when you're buying NEW clothes. One of my favorite aisles at Burlington is the home decor section. The picture frames, shelf sitters, candles, wooden signs -- I just can't resist myself! They make great gifts or seasonal decor when I'm looking to change things out. Burlington has a rewards program or some kind of Burlington super-fan thing. I honestly don't know what it is, but if you give them your phone number every time you go, they find you and say, "yeah - you're in the program!" and then they ring you up and you pay them and then they thank you and send you on your way. I have no idea what else is happening, honestly. I don't know if I'm earning points or just giving away personal information. But they have a program like that if you're looking for one. Customer service is great. The cashiers are always friendly and nice to chit-chat with while you're checking out. Oh - and here's a tip -- don't try to take your cart out to your car. Trust me; don't even try it.

I explained I didn't like the…read morefit of the shoulders and was told it "looked fine" and "should be ok" but it should be that I didn't like the fit and felt uncomfortable and it made me look boxy. I was told that with rentals I "have to pick the lesser of two evils." the shoulders could fit or I could button the top button because of my body. Then I was told there were no suspenders to keep the pants up. I asked if a pair could be added and was told it was "too late" so I would have to buy a pair if I wanted them. Weird how we could change/fix a whole suitcoat but not add suspenders. Then during the time I was being helped, the associate kept going to help another customer, trying to be in two places at once. I understand the store was busy, but there was a virtual line. I expect for an event like this and with the money I'm spending that there would be a bit more care and attention made. Never again!

March 2026 - updated review…read more Went back to Skechers to purchase winter boots again, five years later. I still use the ones from five years ago, but now I wanted ones that have a zipper on the side to make it easier to put on and off. I found the perfect pair. They're really actually very pretty too. They have the cool memory foam. Very comfortable on your feet. I also found a pair of slip-in sneakers. These are the kind that you can just slip right into without any laces or Velcro. What great innovation! This is my second pair of sketchers that are of this type. I have plantar fasciitis and I put in some inserts into the shoe for it added support and comfort. Excellent customer service! The woman helping went out of her way to make sure that I found shoes that work for me. She helped me try on many shoes until I found the right one. What great value! A new pair of sneakers and a new pair of boots for $120 range. Thank you you sketchers.

It has a bit of a warehouse vibe. The staff is helpful and will help you find what you need. My husband got a very nice, high quality suit for a very reasonable price. The alterations were great and the turn around time was very quick. They had a lot of unique and stand out styles for anyone wanting something besides the same old styles and colors that everyone else sells. They also let him swap pant sizes so the pants could have a better alteration since his top and bottom sizes aren't the same with the standard sizing that comes with suits off the rack. Overall great experience.
