Over a decade ago, I used to visit Buffalo and the surrounding area often. I'd frequent Williamsville a lot, especially this Kohl's. This store was my introduction to the chain and Kohl's cash. Last month, my original plan was to stay in Buffalo. I changed my mind and ended up in Niagara Falls for the first time. However, I had placed an order for pickup at this store, to stroll down memory lane and take advantage of a sale on a pair of Vans sneakers. Sure, I could have found a closer Kohl's, but I wanted to return to where my love for this chain started. My drive was pleasant after work on a Monday evening. It felt the same. I pulled into the parking lot, and was happy to see this store was still alive and kicking. The difference was that Sephora wasn't a part of this Kohl's back then. It was my first time picking up an order here, which was also new to me at this store. I walked in and noticed how clean it was. Spring and gardening merchandise greeted me. It was cheerful and inviting. There were signs pointing me to the washroom and the self-pickup order area. The former seemed like a good idea. The powder area (seems so dated as a term, but it's what I'm going to call it) was pretty, with a flower arrangement in front of a large mirror. The women's washroom was nicely maintained. It was clean. No complaints. I headed over to the self-pickup order area. The process is to find your e-mail indicating that your Kohl's order is ready. You click a link in the message and follow the steps where you say that you're at the store. You then get a pickup spot number to fetch your order. Mine was 265. It clearly had my name labelled on the paper bag with handles. I was happy. I didn't buy anything on top of my pickup order. I did enjoy browsing around to check out fashion trends. I am more of a classic person when it comes to clothing. However, I saw shorter jackets with large pockets being trendy. I probably have a couple of jackets at home that I can pull out and look equally as trendy for a brief moment... haha! I make it a habit to check out purses. I liked everything from floral prints, to heart-shaped purses. The bedroom decor section was a lot of fun. I liked seeing clouds and rainbows as neat pieces. There was a rainbow abacus that was cool, but was sort of broken. I fixed it by placing the metal arc back into a socket in the wooden base. If it weren't that messed up, I would have bought it because it was cool and geeky. It was wonderful returning to this store. I am pleased that it's still standing. It was great shopping here again. This location had plenty of merchandise-perhaps too much. There were racks of clothing in the major aisles going from the front to the rear of the store. There were huge boxes stacked up in the bedding area making it difficult to get around. I'm certain this is a serious fire code violation! I hadn't been in the store for a long time and I have to say it was a mess! Not what I expected! I didn't purchase anything. I didn't see any service people except at the front check out area. I didn't feel comfortable shopping without proper access to the merchandise and to a clear route out of the store. So I went to another business and made my purchases there. I cannot comment on value. I'm certain there's a safer, more efficient way to stock your store. read more

Be careful with their FALSE advertising on sales. Giant racks of 50% off until you get to the register that they pull a price change a say that item is not on sale. Associates then show fine print nowhere near the item. Total scam. read more

Kohl's doesn't seem to care about handicapped / disabled customers. I brought my disabled / elderly mother , who also has a serious heart condition, to their Lincoln St Worcester location and they had NO wheelchair. They claimed someone stole it. They had two. With security alarms on them. The associate just shrugged and smiled when I asked how my mom would be able to shop. This is a disgrace to physically challenged people. Also their new policy on coupons is Very misleading. The old Bait and switch . Which is against the law last I knew. The 15% off coupon they emailed Me, does Not say on home goods only. First time at Kohls since the Pandemic shutdown. I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded and people generally were practicing social distancing except for people that still don't get that a mask is useless if your nose is not covered. The store was clean and uncluttered. Typically registers are open at both exits of the store but registers were only open at one exit. Some aisles were marked with directional arrows on the floor and on signs. Not everyone was following directional rules but that is not the stores fault. They are still offering curbside pickup but it was kind of nice to do some old fashion in store shopping again. read more

This location is always soooo busy. It's a pain to drive into the parking lot and no one ever stops at the stop signs there. My biggest problem with this store is the workers. No one ever acknowledges you unless you ask them first and then it feels like a project. The workers will have full blown personal conversations infront of you while completely ignoring you (especially at the Amazon return counter). Prices are insane but everyone knows that khols increases their prices so they can still make record profits while providing regular coupons and khols cash to make you feel like you are getting a deal. I do love that they carry the Lauren Conrad and Vera Wang fashion lines but that's about it. read more

Love my kohls and the convenience of shipping here. I am a frequent shopper, probably at this store 6 or 7 times a month. Lately the customer service has been lacking terribly. First my son came to try on a suit for a wedding and as he entered the dressing room an associate told him to be quick about trying it on and that he couldn't have a cart in the dressing area. He said oh ok sorry I just have a bunch of stuff and she stated ok hurry up. What?? Then the next day I came to make a return and the associate at the counter doing my return never spoke one word, texted on her phone through the whole transaction and then when it was finished only said "ok". I told her to have a nice day and she said nothing. Usually the associates are very friendly even though I know they have a lot to deal with. This was a woman I have never seen at this location before. Sad that people just can't be civilized. read more

My secret job is a Kohl miner. I come here and mine the racks for cool clothes to wear. They have some excellent deals indeed. So I'm trying to play it Kohl but I've come in here several times since my last review, and spent a ton of money. Still love the store. Most employees here are nice. Some of the girls on the front end are angels. And I get to come buy new shoes here soon so I'm excited for that. My old review is as follows: I never thought I would be such a massive fan of Kohl's department store but I totally am. Their regular prices are pretty decent, but once you factor in the incredible discounts they have during the sales and with the mail coupons and everything, you can really get hundreds of dollars worth of stuff for next to nothing. No wonder everybody loves the store! Unfortunately it doesn't apply to every brand name but a lot of good stuff does fall under the sales. For example I have several pairs of the best shoes I've ever owned (Asics!) which cost me well under $20 because of all the sales. Lots of good athletic equipment and nice cuddly quilts and pillows and things like that. Great athletic wear for women. It's not surprising that this place is so popular. And the service is really excellent too. I'm even giving them a bonus star because they agreed to save my shirt for 2 days for me so that I could get it in the sale prices. My 84 year old dad went here and had to walk all over the store to get to the checkout. No one offered to help. He took his Kohls cash and threw it away. He won't go back. It's not the same as it was and checking out is a pain. There are other options. read more

Horrible, they put in self check outs, and then moved the returns to the front of the store along with regular check outs. So now instead of walking to the back of the store, you only have to walk in, but stand in line forever because no one wants to do self checkout to make a return. When you order by mail you can send it back by mail, but at your own expense. I will no longer be ordering or shopping at Kohls. read more

The parking lot was quiet full for Tuesday. Inside the store were racks and racks of summer mark downs. Messy racks. All the sizes were mixed together xs with the 3x's. This made finding anything difficult. The shoe dept was no better. I was not aware that Kohl's carried Columbia & Lands End brands. The selection was small. If you are a savvy shopper and have the time to comb those racks you might get a great deal. A couple items to note: my husband thought the store was not organized very well. The Sephora store is smack in the middle of Kohl's. It takes up a lot of Real estate. Lastly, not one store employee greeted us, said hello or asked if we needed help. Still a four star review because the brands are well known, the app is easy to navigate, order from, pickup in store or ship to your home. read more

This Kohl's store is my favorite place to find a wide variety of winter sweaters (tis the season). The variety is always good. I'm not a big 'shopper' that goes just to shop so when I'm looking for something specific this Kohl's is where I go. Naturally when I'm there I always find additional items to pick up. And who can pass up their great discounts that always keep me coming back. Last week when shopping the store was packed yet when entering the dressing room I immediately noticed how clean it was. Pet peeve, when people leave items they don't want in the dressing room! There's always racks right outside to drop off these items. But nice to see when customers do this that Kohl's seemed to be right on top of it cleaning up the mess. Last note. I have never run into a rude check out employee! They're very helpful and pleasant even when the store is packed. read more

I'm really not a fan of Kohl's particularly the gimmicks of "Kohl's Cash" and the pushing of their credit card. Checking out is usually a hassle, too many customers, not enough cashiers. But a few redeeming qualities have me giving Kohl's four stars. First, it's a hassle-free drop-off for amazon returns. Navigating to the back of the store, strategically placed point-of-purchase items as you meander past merchandise, brilliant. Second, the amazon return receipt has a 25% off coupon for one item, another incentive to linger as you leave. Third, perhaps most importantly in this era of Covid-19 and the pandemic, the store has teeth behind their signage of must wear a mask. Unlike Wegmans whose policy is they can't make someone, Kohl's stands hard and fast: no mask, okay, but please leave. I witnessed this and it impressed the hell out of me. They have sanitizer and masks and a person seeing to compliance right as you enter. Very accommodating and polite, but the rule is, wear a mask or shop elsewhere. Bravo. So after I made an amazon return recently, indeed I made a purchase and used my coupon. They did have quite a selection of clothing for the family, and the petite sign caught my eye. There are home goods in limited supply, socks and undies for one and all, children's wear, shoes, perfume and jewelry so pretty much something for everyone in brand names. I'm not a shopper really, and hate gimmicks, but for a store working this hard to not only accommodate amazon returns but insist on mask compliance during a pandemic, they have my business. read more

Normally this location is fine, but I'm standing in a line right now that's wrapped to the back of the store on a very non-eventful, non-holiday, non-sale-event weekend, and apparently there's one employee in the store. I'm just watching person after person peep the length of the line and just drop their items to leave. I haven't heard one call for assistance to cash or seen an employee walk by assessing this mess. There's about 40 people in line waiting for one register. I fully understand this is probably a one-time offense but still. Poor management. For a store this size on a nondescript Sat morning it's ridiculous. The store is clean and stocked though. All employees are wearing masks and covid signage is prevalent. read more

I just had the worse interaction with a Sephora worker. she was an older women. I asked some questions and she gave me blunt answers. I turn around to continue shopping and she starts talking about me to her co-worker. I could hear the whole conversation and I was not happy so I asked her why she is talking about me and she starts yelling. not happy with this Kohl's AT ALL. Well stocked department store with clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, jewelry, beauty products, electronics, and housewares. This location was well organized and well stocked. Customer service was very helpful when we went over to ask a few questions about using Kohl's coupons. Dressing rooms are bright and clean with good mirrors. Lots of name brands in every department. If you can't find what you want in the store you can order online. The cashier at checkout was super friendly and quick. Reasonable prices. I would totally recommend this store. read more

This is one of my favorite Kohl's locations. While it is busy, it is not typically unmanageable. I like their kids department! They have a smaller toy section, but still have plenty of options. This location has a large home good section as well. The store is clean (as are the bathrooms), and the staff is friendly! read more

I've been to a lot of Kohl's throughout the Northeast and I can honestly say this one is my favorite! The store is always super clean, the cashiers are always friendly, and the return section located in the back of the store always moves faster it seems than other locations. Also ideally located in my neighborhood doesn't hurt either. Plus, I've never had a problem using their iPhone App and have items waiting for me there for pickup. 2 stars instead of one only because of the great prices they have. Me being disabled, I had a VERY difficult time getting to the customer service counter with it being pretty close to the furthest point from the main entrance. It was in the far back corner, unlike many stores that have it right when you walk in! So I made it back there and did my return. The clerk gave me a receipt showing my return and a bonus 25% off pretty much anything in the store!! Hence the 2 star instead of one. So I was going to surprise my wife with a pair of shoes, until I got to their shoe department and had even more of a difficult time maneuvering their VERY narrow aisles. Crazy! After that venture, I wouldn't recommend Kohls to anyone who requires a wheelchair. Me and my mother(not a he) walked in there and went to the front to cash out when we had the rudest cashier ever. She ignored us twice and was talking to the other cashier and ignoring us when we had a question. Then she called my mother a he which was severely disrespectful when she knew My mom was a woman. My mother had makeup on and I consider my mother very gorgeous. My mother is one attractive woman. She can pull any guy she wants. She's not gonna listen to other peoples opinions. Saw an picture in this Sunday's ad for a sale on Kitchen Aid Stand Mixers and since I've only been dreaming of obtaining one since I was an adolescent helper in the kitchen, I figured this might finally be a good year to get one... Called Kohl's to ask if they carried custom colors in the store- no dice. Was directed to hop online to find a color other than red, black, or white. Done. I ordered my Stand Mixer in Aqua Sky and since there was a Kohl's Cash Promotion going on I got $50 in Kohl's Cash!! I also saved 15% since I opened a Kohl's charge card! Though I'm not a huge proponent of credit cards I have no problem opening one on a big purchase so long as I have the cash to pay it off immediately. I got my mixer for $60 off the advertised price and then got an extra $50 to play with... You can bet that I'll be purchasing an attachment package for my new mixer! Looking forward to grinding my own meat, slicing and shredding veggies, making sausage, pasta, and every baked good I can whip up! Thanks Kohl's for the great deal! read more

This Kohl's is great. Fully stocked with many more options than other Kohl's in the area. The store as a whole is tidy and organized and the customer service is top notch. Highly recommend opening a Kohl's charge because you never have to worry about losing your receipt they will have everything on record for you in the computer. Also, tons of coupons! As far as clothing selection for young women, this store offers very little. I consider it one step below Target clothing in quality *and* selection. I would go so far as to say the clothing is very dated. Much of what they offer I would have picked up in early 2000! Of course, if you're looking for your *very* basic cami, I'm sure you'll find something here for $5. But if you're looking for anything career-wise or party-themed, I suggest driving the 0.1 mile to Target next door, at the very least. It's hard to not come here, though, as they send $10 Kohl's Cash in the mail on a pretty consistent basis. Unfortunately, my $10 has often times gone unused, as I cannot even find a piece of jewelry that interests me. I think this store had it's popularity 10 years ago, perhaps during the economic slowdown, but I would just as quickly go to Marshall's or JCP for bedding or home essentials. I haven't had experience with the customer service in many years, as 99% of the time I end up walking out of the store having not bought anything. But as far as employees helping guests on the floor: I don't often see anyone offering to help you find anything. Pretty overwhelming! I can't believe how many sale racks they have...a sea of discount clothing items. After a lot of hunting, I found a pair of J-Lo boyfriend jeans that fit perfectly and were only $10 and I got a very cute scarf for $14. Since I only searched through the women's apparel items, I can't really speak to the rest of the stuff for sale. But it seemed like there was a lot of variety for me and kids too. read more

Normally, I'm a huge fan of Kohl's. My regular store is on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst, but my husband and I were out on Transit Road and decided to stop in. The majority of clothing we grabbed, was on the wrong hanger. Now, normally, I'd also check the piece of clothing for size as well but not ALWAYS on EVERYTHING. We were looking for a suit coat for my husband. He needed a 44R Slim Fit Jacket and size 36 pants. The jacket we ended up getting in the correct size was on a 38R hanger. When we grabbed size 36 pants (according to the hanger) he couldn't get them on in the dressing room because the size on the pants was actually 30. Usually I wouldn't complain about a couple of incorrect hangers, but this was the case on SEVERAL articles of clothing we picked up. On top of this, the men's dress clothing section was a mess. Things were tossed over racks without hangers. There were several things out of place and even on the floor. To make the experience worse, the woman cashing us out was MISERABLE. We were nothing but friendly with her (knowing working in retail isn't always fun) and even tried to get her to crack a smile. Nothing. And when I showed her my 20% off coupon on Retail Me Not, her only response was "Well I don't know why'd they have a Friends and Family coupon on there when we don't have anything like that going on." Even though the expiration date wasn't for two days. It wasn't a HUGE deal, but when you're spending $300, it helps. Either way, she said "no I can't take that" and that was it. I think she was the reason we left there so unhappy. I understand it's tough to keep up with customers rummaging through racks and shelves. I get it. So the messy part wasn't the end of the world. But when you're the last person a customer sees before they leave your store, you should probably at least be friendly with them. Customer service isn't always fun, but if a customer is being friendly and understanding with you, you should do the same. read more
