My first encounter with H&M was at a NYC location over 10 years ago, most likely the one at 591 Broadway, if I remember correctly. And I'm pretty sure this was a 2-story operation. The selection was really good, as I recall. Fast forward years later, and I thought nothing about the Pearland location reminded me of the NYC experience. Not sure what happened to the quality of the selection over the years, but it's fair to say it seriously went downhill. The colors of clothing on offer were both boring and predictable. Much of the clothing had zero personality as if they were shooting for the lowest common denominator...kind of like what you would have seen at The Limited, but even The Limited was a bit more stylish. I did find a cool dress here; hence, 2 stars instead of 1, but I would most likely not return here. I didn't like how the store was organized, and thought the sizing was off. And as an accessories person, I wasn't inspired by what I saw here. One positive: the cashier was very friendly and professional. 2/5: Take a chance and decide for yourself, but I cannot recommend this place. read more

They follow you to the watch you but don't offer assistance. Long line with one person at the register. The cashier called for backup multiple times and the other employees pretended to be busy with clothes racks moving clothes back and forth. Worst customer service I've ever seen in this store. Not the best H&M I've been in.... Selection; I'd say their Selection is about the same as other places. Unfortunately they didn't have size small in almost any of the styles I went for. Also, if it was a white top then it had makeup on it from someone trying it on. They did have a men's, women's, and children's section. There was also a sale section though it was not clearly marked. Staff: The staff was pretty unnoticeable. They barely manned the changing rooms and the most anyone said to me was the cashier (who said as little as possible). Cleanliness: I already mentioned the white tops being makeup stained. Unfortunately the dressing rooms had seen better days too. The curtains and walls were dirty. Typical H&M. They have interesting pieces sometimes and I love to see the different styles they carry. I absolutely love their children's section!! Today I went in and they had a great sale on sweaters.. the staff is not really friendly. Usually they're younger women working and the customer service is just ok. The music is loud and different. I was going to purchase some flats and the ticket said they were 12.99. I go up to pay and they came out to be 5 bucks! You can't be that, they were not marked down so I was very happy to see that! I don't recommend this location due to the fact that there's racial profiling going on. My family and I were followed in the kids section where I assumed a manager, came to ask if there any assistance needed and as a reply we kindly said no thank you. This particular manager continued to follow us also in a different department of the store where its became more obvious of her suspicion to where she also followed us to the cashier line waiting to purchase our items and she pretended to organized the front end merchandise right next to us. This is a horrible experience for a first time in H&M and I hope this location can improve and become more welcoming of other nationalities and races. read more

I like this location. Music and lights aren't as overbearing as some of the others. The store is kept very clean and organized. Which makes it easy to find your item and size. Amaia is real nice, works in the dressing room and....Noel, the manager, is awesome. They also have some great deals going on right now, and they tend to keep every size in stock. read more

The customer service here is horrible. I was unable to return a shirt because the manager assumed the shirt had been worn. The material is a soft material and will wrinkle when you pull it on or off when you try it on. The tags were still attached, proof of purchase was provided but yet she (Jackline) refused to allow me to exchange the top. The value of the top was $20. The purchase I was making at least $50. I was in awe that she accused me of returning a worn item. She simply used very poor judgement with this customer. Oh well, so long H&M. I spend my coins else where. I'm the customer that will typically buy items to try on at home to because usually the fitting room is crowded or it is just easier, but I see now my shopping style and H&M's service are clearly not a match. read more

I really enjoy this location. They don't always have the greatest selection (in comparison to larger locations) but it's always cleans and the customer service is great! Today, Zack was so accommodating and took his time helping me find edgy clothes for work. I work at MAC so we have to be in trend at all times. Zack showed me several styles, called locations to help me find my size and really went the extra mile. Another guy, I don't remember his name but it starts with a "P" assisted me as well. Both very attentive and thorough. And actually know how to style! What i needed is at another location and I typically dread having to do pick ups but this time I'm in good spirits knowing that these two guys made sure I was taken care of. read more

This place is exhausting. The loud music is a mix of sticky pop and misogynistic r&b. The employees dont acknowledge customers at all. The sensors at the front desk went off CONSTANTLY. If they stopped, it would only be for a moment. I saw 2 different customers go up to the counter asking if they could turn the high pitched beeping off. When I checked out I asked what is was, and the employee told me it was the clothing sensors. Ugh. Wont be shopping here again. read more

So this was my first visit to this store in Pearland. I do have to admire how no matter what the location, an H&M store strives to be kept neat and clean. Clothes are neatly hung and organized. It is a stark contrast to Forever 21, which I would call a hot mess! So if you're looking for organization and a clean store, this is the one. However, if you're looking for a good selection and variety of styles, you would do better going to the store in Memorial City Mall. This store has both men and women clothes. They even have baby and children clothes. They do not carry any of the plus size clothes. read more

I made a somewhat large purchase. I just so happened to hear the manager who was ringing out a woman at the next register that if we downloaded the app we would get a percentage off our purchase. Right when i heard this i asked her to repeat what she said. Then i looked at the person ringing me out and he had nothing to say. The manager spoke up for him and said we don't have to tell customer about it i just happened to tell this woman. The person ringing me up had just finished me and the manager said he would have to return everything first to give me the discount. I asked for a credit instead ...and they both stared at me like i was an idiot. Crappy customer service and horrible way of handling it... especially as a manager. I prefer H&M over forever 21. The store is usually clean and organized, so it's pretty easy to shop. They also have a pretty decent men's section, so my boyfriend and I like to go here because he actually has something to shop through. They also have pretty great deals on lots of clothes and they run their dressing rooms surprising well, so you never walk into a gross room. My only complaint is that sometimes you have to go hunt for an associate to help you, but every time i've found one they are pretty nice and have no problem helping me. read more
