Mall type, H&M affordable.

Went for the clearance and found some goodies. $3,$5 items. Worth it. The other stores are too pricey for me :P Nice customer service too.

Somehow we ended up at H&M. We went to Pioneer Place in Portland, OR because my sister n'law wanted to shop for a purse at one of those high end stores. Thank goodness that my lovely wife only wanted some clothes. She found some very good deals at this store. While she shopped, I took a look around the store. It was squeaky clean and looked terrific. Service was friendly without being intrusive. Nice store.

Not too happy with the manager slash security guard who stalked me from the 2nd floor to the 1st He first gave me crazy eyes when I went up to the 2nd floor, then subsequently followed me down back to the 1st. My daughter and wife both bought cloths. But I guess. Got the cop treatment here..

Grey sweater ($15 sale price, originally $29.99)

3.5 STARS While exploring Pioneer Place, I decided to walk into H&M to see what they had. I stopped by on Wednesday, December 28th around 1:15pm. I really only explored the sale section since I didn't have much time. The section was a pretty good size. After going through all the racks, I found a grey sweater on sale for $15 (regularly $29.99) and a very light hooded jacket in green for $10 (regularly $39.99). I tried both pieces on. My fitting room experience was great. No line and the attendant helped me grab the sweater in XS since I had brought in a S to try on. Paying for the items was quick as well. There were a couple people in line, but it moved fast as they had about three people at the cash registers. I can only speak for the sale section, but the selection was pretty good post Christmas. And trying on and purchasing my items was quick and easy. Pretty good H&M location overall.

Service was fine and the wait times for a change room is horrendous. Feels like they need more rooms. Other than that, when H&M has sales, you'll get a deal! I ended up buying 2 dresses for $36. Can't beat that price and especially with the no tax!

My son among other items bought a fantastic black rain coat that is essentially high fashion.

Beautuful clothing. However all of the prices/size tags were all pushed deep inside the garment…read moreand not easy to find. It seems odd to do that. Prices are up there. Did not notice any service happening. Limted sizes like small and Meduim on some items. The owmer/manager responded to my review below by stating they are a small store and sell out of sizes since they only get 8 of each. They still have limted sizes. I am not sure if the "why" matters if you go shopping and wear a large and there are none. I was not able to view the size or price tags without having to fish for them and pull it out so I could see. I found it annoying when shopping since buying clothes is the main goal. It is not an art exhibit. Maybe they do not know what it is like to be short and not able to easily view the tags. It is amazing how are unaware people people are of size differences. Yes, you can set your store up however you want. Just not every one will find it user friendly.

I've been a customer here for a couple decades throughout its location (and at least one name!)…read morechanges and yet it's the consistency that keeps me coming back: always awesome service and value. You won't find a place like it on the west coast.

Brent Collier resembles Bruce Willis. But that's unimportant, we are in Portland and we don't care…read moreabout celebrity. In any event, he would would be the good Bruce Willis, not the bad. What is important in Portland is that Mr. Bruce, I mean Brent Collier has made a career of going to Italy and buying clothing direct, and the same with the NYLA garment districts. He brings it back to little, but creative Portland. Who else does that here? No one. And Collier has an excellent eye. He buys shirts, suits, jackets, sweaters, ties, belts scarves, and more, in small quantities. The quality is stellar, and the price earthbound. I found a great lightweight wool Italian suit at Collier with extra pants at a very, very reasonable price. Let's just say 1/4 to 1/3 the price of any place in the area. Same for some dress shirts which continue to draw compliments. Collier has a wider range of color than some of our stylish male clothing purveyors who hew to black, brown, gray and white. If you want unique suit fabrics at a reasonable price that would qualify you to be in The Sartorialist http://www.thesartorialist.com/, this is the only place in Portland. His former store was the Stockroom, and all the cool kids in town, now grownups, have been patrons for a while. If you need fashion advice or suggestions shopping, Collier can provide that too. Shopping for yourself, or anyone with a fashion sense, shopping for their boy, will be able to communicate their concept to Collier. And with the Wildfang phenomena, girls looking for the next level of boyfriend shirt look might look here. So anyone shopping for anyone looking for style, quality and unique is totally welcome. There might be spots like this in LA, SF or NY, but visitors to Portland shopping have the advantage of no sales tax. He changes the store up regularly, so it's worth checking in periodically. There is also a tailor right there for alterations. If you want style, quality, uniqueness and price in men's clothing; collar shirt, tie, jacket style, and even some sportswear, Collier is the best and most unique place in Portland.
