Tried to return something 14 days past the return policy and explained I had Covid and offered to show a picture of my Covid test. The Manager was completely rude to me, man-splained that Covid only lasts 5 days ("well interesting Covid only lasts 5 days") and was super condescending. He also said no options and no store credit despite them still selling the brand new jeans I was trying to return 40 feet from me. Ironically, I called corporate and they said you can easily return things 30-60 day window via mail no issue. Went online, registered my return no problem. That is at least real customer service, offering options, explaining policies and trying to be helpful. Train your store employees this vs just saying no and your store management to lead by example, not by being rude to customers. Don't shop here. You've lost my business. read more

I love H&M I wont lie, the best place for my boys clothing to keep them looking Fresh AF without the stupid played out kid look most kids stores are known for. It is like gap, but 10x as hip, for a fraction of the price. Sales are always rampant and plentiful, and you can buy off season and save HUGE. Keep it in mind that they have quite the variance in sizing... a 1-2yr old shirt maybe tight, while a pair of pants in the same size fits a 3yr old... so try before you buy here! One of my favorite locations as the sale rack is always huge (as is in most nicer areas/malls) I would def come check it out before you look online. H&M always will and always have had the worst employees... kinda rude, always rushing, and just not happy. Don't ask for favors, exceptions, or anything of the sort. I am a big freak for H&M. It doesn't matter where I am, it's a store that I always go to. The clothes are very affordable and last a very long time. At this store I have bought a lot of clothes not just for me but my mother as well. With Oregonian pricing, it makes this store a must visit. Unlike the H&Ms in California, they are much more organized than most stores in that area. If you want something that lasts forever then come here. If you are on the email list you can find all the good deals here. I however like their pick up service. Every time I find something online while in Oregon, this is my go to store to pick it up. I am not sure where the tough reviews are but you must take a look at the rating of the item you want to buy if looking online. The people that work here are incompetent! I brought in a return- $12.99 kids pants with a receipt. I had my husbands card and they refused to give a refund without his card. In the past I always liked H&M because of how cheap the clothes are, but recently I started noticing that their clothing quality is not that high. The clothes aren't designed to last very long. They're purely intended to be super trendy and nothing more. Yesterday I went shopping here and I bought a couple items. It was really crowded in the store and they only have one fitting room (at least on the bottom floor). Naturally, a line formed so I had to wait about 15 minutes to try my clothes on. Overall, H&M is designed more for high schoolers and college students but if you're looking for quality over cheapness I'd shop elsewhere. read more

I was in a fitting room with my 10 year old daughter, One of the staffs ( Melissa) kept knocking on the door and asking me to come out, she said only one person is allowed in there. But my daughter is only 10, She was a little scared in there by herself. AND I'm the one who will pay for the clothes, I need to see how it fits and if it fits comfortably to make the decision. BACKGROUND - I feel super silly reviewing a store because I haven't reviewed a non-restaurant place in so long. PROS - Bigger selection than the Clackamas location. CONS - HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. I have given this location many times to redeem its' customer service reputation. H&M periodically sends out 25% coupons if you are subscribed to their newsletter. Employees here give you the eye roll when you bring out coupon to make your purchase. Wow! It must be so hard on your fingers to push a few extra keystrokes to honor that coupon! If the employee wasn't an eye-roller, they would look at your printed coupon suspiciously, ask you for your ID, and call a manager over. Really?? You think I would be forging H&M coupons?? And if you have the Wrapp app that gives you $6 to spend, forget about using it here. There is absolutely NO reception (doesn't matter what carrier you have, you are now in the Twilight zone), so when you try to pull up $6 to use, you can't! This seems to be a well stocked 2 story location. They were having amazing sales. I grabbed some good buys. Being H&M it was a bit disheveled in some areas. The hangers are really annoying, every time I picked something up 2 items would come with it or fall. When I got to the register, there was a super nice cashier (Helena?, blonde). She was explaining the promotion I was a bit confused by and patiently help me go through my items when I had to grab something else. She was completely Friendly and Helpful! read more

I think his name was Carlos- he was working upstairs in the men's section behind the register and had several tattoos on his arms and a nose piercing. I have a love/hate relationship with H&M -much like Forever 21. Each store is (depending on location) is set up differently with hit or miss customer service, strict dressing room policies and terrible lines and chaos at the register. This particular store is pretty decent and cleaner than others I have been in and aside from the ridiculous line to check out, the trip was very fruitful for the daughter's back to school shopping. Some clothes are too hoochie mamma for my taste, but as my just about to be high schooler likes to remind me, "I'm getting old"! BTW, the manager at this location has a great sense of humor and I really appreciated her help in processing our transactions (what I did not approve of, daughter had to use her own money to buy). read more

This 2nd Portland-area H&M just opened up on Feb 10th. I wasn't one of those crazy people who waited in line opening day because I've already done that when the first San Francisco H&M opened up over 5 years ago. H&M isn't my favorite store, but it was nice to be able to pick up some basic essentials for cheap every now and then and when I moved to Portland nearly a couple years ago, I missed having one around. I finally had a chance to check this location out today and it wasn't really crowded. Sure, there were lots of shoppers but there were no crazy long lines and a lot of things were in stock size-wise (for me, at least). I picked up a scarf and a jacket. Women's clothing is on the first floor, children and men's are upstairs. This store is pretty decent when it comes to selection and it's wearability. Way better than their Vegas store in which is complete trash. It is H & M after all. They have tons of selections for men. Affordability will not come into your mind when buying an item cause it is. There is still crowd even on a weekday but the fact remains it might go on for a while due to the ecomomic slump and the merchandise inside the store are affordable. The men's side is at the second level. It's not too crowded (a big plus) compared to their women counterpart which is like a cheap zoo with all sorts of barn animals including cougars. read more

In short: cheap clothes = NO CUSTOMER SERVICE Details: Went in today to do some Christmas shopping and use some expiring "gift card" credit via the Wrapp app. I have used Wrapp before, specifically at this and other locations. I patiently waited through the lines for the dressing room and to check-out to have a sales associate ring up my puchases. Unfortunately three issues occurred: 1. Failure to provide the openly advertised additional 30% off to all sales item discount 2. Refusing to honor Wrapp gift card- the sales associate provided the argument that Wrapp gift cards cannot be used on sales items. When questioned about where this clause was disclosed (as it is not in the terms and conditions of use on Wrapp) the sales associate proceded to read all the fine print herself. Coming up empty, she ask her manager. 3. The manager just provided a blanket (B.S.) statement that H&M can add additional restrictions whenever. Due to the obvious disregard to honor promotions to make a sale, I chose to take my hard earned money elsewhere. I've been shopping here for quite some time now and I've been able to see a lot of growth within that time. H&M has handled this pandemic very well. It seems as if they're able to drive sales up while making sure their customers are comfortable and safe too. I do find that the customers who come into this location have a lot of variety in personality. People from all over come and shop at this mall and especially for THIS H&M. I highly recommend downloading the H&M and becoming a rewards member since it's free and saves you money every time. No one knows that this location also PRICE MATCHES if the sale isn't already going on in store! I'm still not quite sure what to think of this place. The service has never been great, but there's an interesting and new selection of clothes. I got my Bieber hoodie, so I'm happy. No, I can't stand Bieber, but I love hoodies and I guess when the boyfriend calls something by a name like "Bieber hoodie", it gets called that forever. This store is definitely a lot smaller than the one in Pioneer Place, but I liked it better for some reason. This, by the way, may be the worst written review I have written to date. I heart H&M Woot Woot! H&M at Washington Square is here! I like that this is the second location that Portland opened up (the other one is located at the Pioneer Place mall in downtown Portland). Although this store is a bit smaller than the other one, and not much room for dressing rooms, it is a bit tidier than the Pioneer Place one. (Which is a plus when you're shopping!) If you can't find H&M at Washington Square, it's next door to the Apple store and across from Victoria's Secret. The employees are helpful and friendly. If you're looking for something that would suit a business professional or something casual, yet an alternative to Forever 21, then H&M is for you. read more

Today's shopping experience was horrible. There seemed to be only one associate at the register and only one associate working upstairs. No one asked if we needed any help finding anything. The clothes in boy's section upstairs were all stuffed on the racks making it increasingly difficult to find the correct size without the clothes falling off the racks. When we finally made it downstairs to the fitting room it was completely disastrous. There was no fitting room attendant and so I had to just get a bare rack myself and put the big load of clothes I was carrying on that. I was finally fed up and decided to just leave. It wasn't worth me spending my money on an establishment who seems to really have no care or concern for the customers shopping experience. I'm not so sure we will be back. read more

Chaotic as usual, especially on a Saturday. It is probably one of the most frequented places in the mall. AND, probably one of the largest men's sections which is a huge plus as most H&Ms are dominated by women's clothes...for some reason the women's clothing often has better prices though. 2 floors. I ended up finding 2 decent shirts here and my wife the same. The best part is that the prices are pretty low! However there was one shirt, that has a substantial hole in the top of the left shoulder, a shirt which my wife really liked, and the discount they could offer was 10%? Forget that! That hole was only going to get bigger as it was thin material to begin with and it was a hole approx the size of a nickel. Other than that good customer service at this location, didn't bother the employee when we kept going back to the fitting room with only one or two items! read more

I was so excited when H&M opened right up the street from me! I dropped in on a weekday to find a few items that were out of stock at the Pioneer Place. They had everything I was looking for stocked in my size, and I was able to locate them quickly. I thought the store was clean and well laid out. It's obviously a lot smaller than some of there other stores, honestly I wish I could swap spaces with that giant Forever 21, because I find there clothing selection so much more age appropriate for me! The sales people were sweet, and didn't hound me around the store. The only thing I found disappointing was the tiny section of accessories! I enjoyed the pieces they did carry, but noticed they had several racks with the same pieces on them. I'm hoping for more variety as the store establishes itself. read more

The price I would say is reasonable and I pike that this company has started it's new promotion of reusing old clothes that you don't want and all you have to do is drop off your old clothes in that green bin and you won't be worried about them ending up in some landfill and you never know you might be wearing them again some day. read more
